Dr. Marcos is the best. He is a brilliant practitioner and diagnostician. He has saved both me (being hysterical) and my pets, by just being there at the oddest hours. He is always ready to say bring them right in. The office staff

I have taken my pets to Marcos for over 12 years now. He has cared incredibly well for them. Everything from Knee operations to Diabetes. The reality of pets is that they eventually pass and we miss them sorely. Marcos gives professional and passionate care and from all my accounts has not only prolonged the life of my animals (5 dogs in all) but shows true concern for their well being. I have read the reviews for Corralles Vet and can only say that any negative review is probably written out of frustration for a lost pet. Never has anybody been so prompt to call back and caring as this clinic. And all staff as of April 20 2012 is exceptional.

I currently have four dogs who are treated by Dr. Gutierrez. He has been our Vet for 18 years and the care and attention he gives to our animals is extraordinary. When one of our beloved dogs passed a few years ago, he was compassionate

I am going to become a part-time resident of Albuquerque in the next 60 days and am looking for a veterinarian. I read the reviews on this site and laughed at the one that was written by Sausagedog. It sounds so mean as to be not actually

I can say for a fact that the previous review is not true. Dr. Gutierrez runs a quaint, friendly little clinic, and provides a small-town ambiance to his very professional expertise. I have been bringing my dogs to him for over 15 years,

I have been going to this Clinic since it opened. For 10 years there has been a friendly face at the reception desk. Marcos let go the only two capable and friendly people at the clinic. He let go of the only tech that know what she was doing ... followed by the nicest, friendliest receptionist. She was a staple in the Village and the reason I went to this Clinic. He is not the best doctor. His prices are not the best. I can say that he has not morals or ethics. Stay away.

We moved to NM 1 year ago with 3 cats. We also adopted a dog 1 month later. Watermelon Mountain Ranch recommended Corrales Veterinary Clinic, so we gave them a try. Dr. Gutierrez, Daniel, and everyone else in the office is absolutely WONDERFUL! Our cat was diagnosed as a diabetic in December. It was a trying time to find the correct amount of insulin to regulate her, but Dr. Gutierrez worked closely with us until we got our cat under control. They are very flexible with their scheduling, very knowledgeable, very personable, and not very expensive. I would highly recommend them to anybody that is looking for a great veterinarian.

Corrales Vet Clinic is not my usual vet I took my dog to, but we had an emergency with her and took her in. We just wanted to let anyone know who is thinking of using this business that they should! They were wonderful! They treated my dog like one of my kids! The kept us up to date on her condition and did everything they possibly could to save her! Our dog passed, but they did everything they could for us! They were honestly sorry for the loss! Very kind, animal loving people!

I had the best experiance ever at a vet clinic. They treat you like family not a customer. Every time I go in there they take care of my dogs but are also interested in how I am doing as a person.

PROS: Best vet visit ever.
CONS: Never!

I take all of my animals to corrales vet clinic. All of the people there are so friendly. They always do everything in their power to help my animals. Also they are the most affordable vet clinic on the west side if not in all of albuquerque. If I ever have an emergency they call me back right away, and if they are no available for emergency pages they always have a number to another emergency hospital on their voice mail. Also when my dog past away this summer their ofice sent me flowers to comfort me.

PROS: The wonderful service and concern. They great almost every one by name.
CONS: None at all!

In early March, our Sheltie started vomiting one evening after showing no signs of illness that day. The following morning, we saw no improvement, so we took her to this vet. He performed x-rays (which he said showed nothing), gave her medicine to stop the vomiting and sent her home. The medicine stopped the vomiting for a few hours, but by night it started again and she was becoming extremely weak. She wasn't able to consume any liquid either and threw up the Pepto Bismo he said to give her. I called the vet Sunday morning and he said to bring her back in. After dropping $120 the previous day, I asked what he would be doing this time. He said he would be doing another set of x-rays and giving her more medicine. I expressed concern about spending that much money again after it didn't help the first time and his tone of voice got very snappy with me. He said, "call me back if you decide to bring her in". Within the hour our dog was clearly fading fast and was really suffering. She couldn't stand and her breathing was labored. I called him back on his pager and waited for a return phone call. After 30 minutes, I called again - no return call. Waited again, called again, no return call. By this time the dog had tried to get up, fell down outside and could no longer rise. My 12 year old daughter watched in tears as we carried her back in the house. This vet lives right down the road from us - I can see his house from mine. He went next door to his sister's house, so I called there. They said he had just left and would have him call me - he didn't. Finally, I called Animal Control to have someone come put our pet out of her suffering. Animal Control wasn't available (weekend), so a policeman came instead and said he would find someone to help us.
To make a long story a little shorter - this vet NEVER called back. Not once in the 3 months since then has he ever inquired about what happened with our pet. I wouldn't take rat to him for care!

PROS: NONE
CONS: Not an ounce of real concern shown to animals or their owners.
