Canine Country Club is the best. My dog loves to go to Doggy Day Care there! He always comes home happy and wagging his tail. The most difficult part of going out of town used to be worrying about my pupnot any more. The staff at Canine Country Club so clearly LOVES dogs. (I am sure they love cats too; my two have not yet stayed at the Feline Inn). Gus (my dog) is always excited when we pull inthat says it all for me. He has had a bath at Canine Country Club too and it went well (bath time is not always his favorite time!) I highly recommend this pet-loving place.

Our dog, a Greyhound rescue, is very finicky. At home she is quite spoiled (having her own water-bed--I know, we're shameless!) We do not leave town often (when we can't take her with us). We found that the Canine Country Club offers "casitas," complete with small bed (no water-bed) and television. Her casita was away from the barking of the main boarding area, and she was able to watch TV. They did not have cable so she was not able to watch Animal Planet, but she survived! We did bring in some bedding from home to make our 'little' princess more comfortable. She is a nervous girl and needs extra TLC. We were quite impressed with how well her needs were met.

The Canine Country Club is a very clean facility. We took a tour before we left Buster there for a weekend, and my wife and I were struck by how clean and nice the facility is (North Valley). It does not smell like a kennel at all! The dog runs are much larger than we had been expecting. We both felt safe and secure leaving Buster there. And when we picked him up, he did not "punish" us too much--I think that means that Buster likes it too. We signed him up for Doggy Day Care each day, although it is an additional charge it was well worth it! We got Report Cards (!) for each day telling us about who Buster played with and how he did. We miss him when we're away from him, and the Report Cards made my wife and me feel so much better about not being able to take Buster on this trip. Thank you Canine Country Club!

Although the customer service is good, the fees are rediculous.
I have been taking my pet here for the last two years, and have paid thousands of dollars in hotel stay, grooming and day care. My dog was accidentaly bitten in a "play" accident they said, twelve stiches later- i had to pay $500 plus all the fees. THey wouldn't even try to get the other dog owner to share these fees which would only be fair! i asked to see the video of the day care for that day since they "say" they record everything, and they gave me some excuse about deleting it daily. I will not bring my dogs back here.

On the surface, this place looks good. I toured the facility before boarding my dogs there for the first time and the woman giving me the tour was friendly and informative.
When I picked up my two dogs, they were both sick; coughing & both had diarrhea. When I complained and asked why I hadn't been called, I was told they had given rice & some medication for the diarrhea. They said the cough was probably kennel cough & if I read the contract it says they are not responsible for that.
I can't believe no one called to tell me that both of my dogs were ill. I paid a lot of money for them to care for my dogs & they came home in horrible condition. Not only were the sick but they smelled something awful. I called back a few days later to ask if they would cover the vet expenses I had incurred as a result of their stay and they told me they would not. When I asked to speak to the owner, I was given a phone number to call. I left several messages and no one has returned my calls to date.
I would not recommend this place to anyone. The staff, upon checkout, was rude and insolent. The prices they charge are inconsistent with the care they say they provide. I do not mind paying higher fees for better care but in the past I have paid much less and received higher quality service and my dogs did not come home sick.

I have used many kennels but have found this to be a bit incompetent. Before we arrived, we had requested our vet to send records. When the kennel either lost or did not receive all the records they called us to complain instead of calling the vet, who had faxed the records. After they called all 3 of our phones (we were in flight) they thought to call the vet, who sent the records again. When we returned for our dog, they had lost our dog bed, which is not replaceable -- out of production. The young girls (it seems that is all they have hired -- young girls) first tried to give us someone else's bed, then said it was at the laundry. Then they said it was lost. And they said they could not try call people who may have taken ours by accident. They said that they could not trace it because the girl who had checked us in had not written down that we had brought it (so, they failed to follow their procedures and penalized us for it!). When I told them I would contact my bank to withhold the amount of money for the value of the bed, she said, "Well, you signed the contract." and "Things just get lost when we clean the kennels." and "You shouldn't leave things here that you value." The latter one made me laugh -- what do we value more than our pets, which we entrust you with? And do you call this 5-star service? And where is your sense of responsibility? And perhaps you should hire people who can read and follow procedures. I am just glad they did not lose our dog!

The Canine Country Club is a kennel that you can trust. They provide a safe and happy atmosphere for your dog while you are away. We have had wonderful success with this kennel. They also have a doggie daycare! This kennel has several choices for pet owners when they board. They can have the pets indoors or outdoors depending on what the dog likes. They also will do supervised play with other dogs in the doggie daycare for their kenneled pets.
