I used Jim's Automotive to replace spark plugs on my Saab, and specifically told them NOT to do anything else. I also told them they needed to get permission for anything... Well, They told me they had the spark plugs in stock and what do you know? At five oclock they told me it would be ready in the morning because they didn't have the plugs in stock earlier...

Fast forward to the next morning, and I was presented with a $420 bill for spark plug replacement where the parts were only $40 of the bill.. The guy tried to act cool like he spent 3.5 hours maintenancing my car??? And replaced a cap for me for $10 because it was cracked. Um, what?? Since when do spark plugs cost $30 and cap $10? Anyways, I was visibly upset and paid because no one was there to speak to and they hijack your car otherwise. Then he told me very sternly that if my check bounced I would have to pay $50 in fees. He didn't think my check would bounce but that I was going to cancel the payment...

Well when I left, my ride followed me and when I got back they did something to the wiring and my taillights were mysteriously not working... Called back and they refused to fix for free and said I would have to create a new work order. Needless to say, I didn't go back and hope you don't go there either...

I went to Midas to get the taillights working, and they said the fuse was removed but the light was burned out, cost me $70 to fix there.... If you have a Saab in trouble in Albuquerque I would highly recommend going to the dealership or selling it, because there are no choices for mechanics here AND THEY KNOW IT!!!

Jim's Automotive is a bad, deceptive mechanic. STAY AWAY!
