Although Southwest Acupuncture College is not what it once was when I began there in 2003 it is a decent acupuncture school. In 2003 the classes consisted of 12-16 students per class, the people knew each other better, and the teacher/student relationship was considerably more satisfying. Since IICM closed in the last 2 years we have accumulated more students and been through several instructors, the school is just not what it once was. Of course I suppose that is to be expected with expansion however, the Santa Fe school has expanded and spent a lot of money on appearances, they now have (5 ) $2,000.00 coy (fish) in an indoor pond I've never seen, and ridiculously priced tibbtian doors on the library, I guess I feel a little mift about my tuition being spent on sister school. I would like to see it go into clinics and expansion in that area, or at least spend on better quality needles used in clinic settings.

Our Clinic is excellant however and I strongly reccomend it to anyone intrested in either pursuing a career in acupuncture or anyone in need of acupuncture. Most of our supervisors are excellant practioners and are very helpful.

PROS: Good Clinic
CONS: Too concerned with appearances and insuffcient student entry screening
