I had planned to purchase a lot from Alpine. Food for a large party. I called to order. Ring ring ring. Then a heathen answers the phone, I'm assuming that this was his first phone conversation. He can not do the order I like, but won't

This place is my favorite food store in Albuquerque. The wurst is super fresh with great variety. I'm not German but I think all the meats are genuine. I always get a pound of Knockwurst, a pound of Bratwurst and a pound of Polish

I traveled across town to visit this place, for the very first time...stood waiting, for several minutes...was never acknowledged, apologized to, nor asked to wait, during all that time! There were two people working behind the counters,

We were very impressed with this business. We have just moved back to the USA from Berlin and it's definitely a place we will return for German foods and goodies.

We have lived in Germany and Ontario where we had the best of the best german butchers...but when we moved to NM we found Alpine and have been shopping there since the 80's. The rouladen and pork schnitzels are to die for as are all of the cheeses and fleishkases, salamis, pepper ham etc etc etc. Their Christmas ham is fantastic. You can also get German spices, cookies, candies and other condiments. You cannot go wrong with this place!

the owner is from germany, so is the taste. you get so much more choices of sausage there. if you are really into the meet taste, check out the salami and beef sausage. the specialty if the liver sausage, use it like butter and go with your fresh bread, the taste is strong and unforgettable. blood sausage sounds bad but actually tastes wonderful. fry it with onion or something and it makes a nice side dish.
they bake nice roll and bread, not cheap, but for something handmade, it is worth it.

PROS: meet
CONS: nothing
