They are listed as a Rehab! Don't let them fool you. My Mother never had therapy. Her hot meals were cold. For dinner every night was rice. The workers their were hollering at each other all the time in front of the patients. My mother

My husband stayed here, for a few months and he had all kinds of problems, about this place. Almost everything he owned was stolen (even though his name was written on all of his belongings) and he got infections that he NEVER received at home.

For our own reasons (and not to confuse him *he has dementia*), it was marked down, that only I and Ambercare staff would be visiting him.

I went in one day and Eileen told me that his 'relatives' were there and I was not allowed in! I found out, later, that about a dozen folks (not allowed on the list) were there and locked in his room! Then 'I' am not allowed in?? 'I' who filled out all the paperwork and had been paying this place, out of my pocket?

We finally got it settled, though Eileen would have none of it. She was a horrible employee. After Nancy made everyone leave, I found my husband had become so nervous, that he wet himself and there was urine all over the floor (in his room). I went to go tell the staff and they kept brushing me off and saying they would get to the mess later. I had to BEG them to clean things up and STILL, they did not get around to it, until they felt like it!

I also found out that all the people that Eileen deemed to let in, were given the door code, for the dementia unit and there was nothing I could do about it. They told me that there were people in front, that watched the doors (Like Eileen, right?) and made sure things were safe. What safe? He wasn't supposed to have all those people in there, asking him about his money. They just seemed to let 'anyone' in there.

A nurse is rarely in the unit. I was told that that was normal(?) Plus, no one is watching the front. They all seem to be busy, elsewhere.

My husband was taken out and he came home, more sick than ever. I've had to re-buy all of his belongings and he now BEGS to never go back there, again.

Pros: They'll take you on right away.

Cons: It will cost just about everything you got.

This company also goes by the name of St John's Rehab on Lester NE. One of their managers Latina Jones hired a professional clown (a good friend of mine) for an event. My friend agreed to a discounted price out of the goodness of her heart. The clown provided the service exactly as agreed (she spoke to Tasha at the event) and two weeks later the business still refuses to pay my friend! Even the Administrator TJ Hicks refuses to do the right thing! Reprehensible business behavior! Unethical business practices. Tell everyone never to do business with them.

Cons: BAD business ethics...NO business ethics.
