I hear the people who felt unwelcome here and, in fact, had delayed going based on what they wrote, even though a good friend told me it was great. In fact, it turned out to be one of the great dining experiences ever. Over two evenings,

While we ate at many great restaurants in Santa Fe, Trattoria Nostrani was clearly number one. The food was outstanding and Chef Nelli's early experience working with Charlie Trotter is certainly evident in every dish we were served.

The food was outstanding and Chef Nelli's early experience working with Charlie Trotter is certainly evident in every dish we were served. The wait staff was both professional and personable and everyone was attentive and knowledgeable. Overall It was a great experience made even better by a "no fragrance" policy that ensured we were able to enjoy our meal without having to deal with someone's over zealous application of perfume. We only wish more high end restaurants would adopt this rule.

I had an amazing experience at Nostrani's. The service was brilliant, the food incredible. There really wasn't anything to complain about.

The execution is pure and simple, and by virtue of it's simplicity, extraordinary fare. The atmosphere is quiet, intimate, the service impeccable, informative and not overly solicitous.

It was a memorable experience and I want to counter the negative reviews I've read. We had a wonderful evening. The food was rustic yet elegant - classic and NOT overwrought with "significance" and pretension.

I was pleasantly shocked. Over all, it was a wonderful evening. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone and will be visiting this place again myself.

we appreciate being treated fantastically well and Nostrani's definitely wants your return buisness. The Gnochetti was to die for. I will be going back and sending everyone there. Most definitely one of the best restaurants to eat at in Santa Fe.

A friend and I recently dined at Santa Fe's Trattoria Nostrani. As our first course was about to arrive, four women were seated nearby...at least one wearing very strong perfume. The smell was simply awful. We asked to move to another table. I was deeply grateful when the owner kindly reminded the women of the restaurant's no fragrance policy (which they had been informed of when making their reservation) and gently asked them to leave. I deeply respect this owner's choice to provide a pleasant atmosphere for guests, even when it means turning away business. Thank you! And by the way, the food was divine!

If you are in Santa Fe and you want to experience food created with passion this place must be given the highest consideration, though if you can't think outside the box, consideration of the other patrons savoring their food, well it's your loss.

We dined at Nostrani with great expectations. The food quality was excellent, but the menu choices were very few and the portions were VERY small and pricey. I suspect that they want you to order all courses to boost your bill. The wine list was all Italian which, to the even the above average wine consumer was not appealing. We were appauled at the price of the special of the day --imagine $65 for a Rib eye steak with only brocolli! We decided to have a freindly conversarion about broadening the wines on list - but the owner Eric was not receptive to any input . So what was the point of trying to give him constructive ideas. The owner Eric - must have designed his menu and wine list for himself and it not customer focsed. So I guess he will be dining alone!

They charge your credit card the minute you make your reservation and do not tell you this. They are dishonest regarding their cancellation policy but are very quick to tell you about their NO FRAGRANCE policy. Santa Fe has many fantastic places to eat that are very welcoming, this is NOT one of those places. Eric the owner is pompous, dishonest and lies. Avoid this place!!!!

We dined at Trattoria on our visit to Santa Fe, New Mexico this year. It was absolutely fabulous. They specialize in Northern Italian cuisine. The service is wonderful. Price is what you would expect to pay for excellence. I think it was well worth it.

My experience with this restaurant was unacceptable and disappointing. After a misunderstanding of their reservation policy I was hung up on several times and treated poorly even before attending the restaurant. I ca honestly say I have never been treated so poorly by a business.
