Bought a vintage Fender guitar online from these clowns. (Store should consider changing its name to "Clowntown Guitars"...).
They shipped it to me 16 days (!!!!) after I paid.

When I called and e-mailed the store to ask what's going on with my guitar that I should have received 2 weeks ago (I'm in L.A, they are in Vegas, 2 business days shipping time with ANY carrier..) they said "Oh, yeah we will e-mail you the tracking number later" Of course, no such email was received...
I only received a tracking number when I opened a PayPal "Item not received" claim...

When I finally received the guitar (About 20 days later) which was described as being "100% original" it had an obvious re-fret, fingerboard planed down & nut changed.
Things that any "Reputable Vintage Guitar Dealer" that has been in the business for more than 5 minutes should spot while blindfolded...

I sent the guitar back for a refund, they received it 2 days ago and still haven't sent me my $$ back.

When I e-mailed to ask what's going on with my refund the response I got is that the owner is traveling and my refund will be sent once he's back and able to check out the guitar...

So, I guess non of the other clowns who work at this shop are qualified enough to check out a freakin' 1980 Fender Telecaster?? This ain't a Burst or a New Yorker!!

Maybe the good folks at "Clowntown Guitars" should devote less time to creating fake scenarios on lame (written) "Reality shows" and concentrate more on improving their non existent customer service.

I've been in this store 3 times and every single time I was ignored for a prolonged period of time (had to actually stand at the counter for a few minutes). The vibe in here is not good IMO. Store personnel have an arrogant 'rock star'

I've now twice tried to sell vintage guitars/basses at this store with no success. The first time I had 3 beautiful PRS guitars, the second time a '71 Fender Jazz Bass.
Both times the guy in the store, who was very nice, got on the phone and spoke with "the owner." I was given incredibly lowball offers for my instruments over the phone by "the owner" who never actually saw them. On my last trip the store clerk unscrewed the neck, pickguard and control plate to "look under the hood," all cool in a transaction such as this. The neck indeed had the '71 stamp on it and he then told me that after speaking with "the owner," they felt the body wasn't an original '71, perhaps a Fender re-issue body? I told him I had bought the bass at a very legitimate music store in SLC 15 yrs. ago. "It was sold to me as a "71 and it still is." He then offered me $700 for it. Very not cool. IMO, "the owner," without even SEEING guitars, lowballs vintage instruments and then hangs them up on his wall for inflated prices. STAY AWAY...btw, I went on to LA and successfully sold my gear at Norm's Rare Guitars, a REAL music shop.

Pros: None

Cons: The owner is an "invisible" buyer.

Look, Mark buys/collects or whatever you want to call it, vintage items. Is he suppose to run every frickin' serial of every item he buys throught eh Las Vegas police? common on, get real. I'm sorry your stuff was stolen, I'm sure Mark was too, you were both victims here, don't go blaming him though, that's childish...put the blame on the ool who stole the stuff in the first place.
Here's another idea, you should insure you equipment for just this reason.

Cowtown Guitars have a lot of older guitars, I believe they actually specialize in vintage guitars. The prices are reasonable, and they have some really great finds in the store.

This clown collects vintage guitars and amps. He advertises that he buys them. After my guitar and amp was stolen from my apartment, I found it in his guitar shop up for sale. The police returned the items to me as I had filed a police report with the serial numbers. Then the moron had the audacity to blame me and accused me of setting him up. When in fact, he broke the law by not reporting the serial numbers to the Metro Police Dept. The guy is a total jerk, but he does have some nice equipment. But be aware, the stuff MIGHT be stolen.
