I went into leslie's out on the east side of town, and let me tell you, I asked a very simple question about buying an above ground pool, and they looked at me and treated me like I knew everything about what they have to offer. Of course, whom would you get to work for min. wage and give you a great attitude about what there doing. This is how I find alot of larger company's!

PROS: Alot of decent merchandise...
CONS: Poor Customer Service (Young Kids) as employees!

I called on leslie's to repair a pump for my pool, I constantly got the run around, and it took over 2 months for someone to actually come down and fix it. And no matter who i asked, i never got the same answers. Nobody seemed to know what they were talking about. I also feel that i was conned into buying equipment that wasnt necessary to replace my original equipment which was obviously faulty in the first place and should have been under warranty. I would not reccommend that anyone use this location for pool repairs.

They have a very clean store and seemingly helpful staff, but watch out. We had to replace the turbine on our pool vac recently. Last week, the vac was going around in circles and I took it apart and found a wheel on one A-frame was broken. You can't just buy the wheel or even just the A-frame. You have to buy a whole kit with all that plus the turbine ($75.00). They do free labor and I couldn't get the pods off, so I let them do it. I dropped it off on Sunday (they were very busy). I told them to only replace the A-frames, not the turbine, but they did both and didn't keep the "old" parts. Then I was told that if you replace any one of those parts, they all need to be replaced or the rest will go bad in a couple of months. But then, why does the pool vac company sell some of those parts separately if you shouldn't replace just one?

PROS: Clean store
CONS: Sales/repair people don't always know the best answer.
