Absolutely LOVE this place! We go to the one on Jones and Tropicana area. My daughter started at around 14 months old. She is now 20 months old and has learned so much. Within a week at this facility she was walking all over the place. Now

I normally don't write reviews, but after reading the crazy review below I had to speak up. We have been at the Kids R Kids on SERENE for nearly four years now, and both of our children started in their infant rooms and have since moved up as they got older. The teachers have always been wonderful and caring, and the director is very helpful. The school is always very, very clean, and there are three teachers in each of those infant classrooms who treat the babies like their own children. In fact, many parents of older kids still stop in to say hello to those infant teachers because they love them so much. We still do. I have stopped by at many various times throughout the day. They have a complete open-door policy for parents at all times. Heck, even if I can't stop in I can always watch over the webcams. My kids still even rave about the food they serve. I've been there a few times when they are giving tours, and I've heard parents who are trying to get in get upset because they don't have an opening available right away. Well, they don't have an opening right away because they are in such high demand. Don't criticize the school for that.

Run away from this place! This day care is horrific. We sent our 1 and 2 year olds here and it was a nightmare. They start the morning with this chaotic, anxiety inducing cafeteria style breakfast where babies and toddlers are mixed in with 5,6,7+ year olds. We never were introduced to our older child's teachers and every time we tried to talk to them they acted like they were put out and too "shy" to chat. They have cameras where you can watch your kids in the classroom but it just a front to make you feel secure. One day our boys grandma was watching and she observed a morbidly obese caretaker place him in a high chair for close 2 hours while he was crying! She tried to call us because she lives out of state and by the time we got there he was so worked up he fell asleep in our arms (which he had never done before) and had an awful diaper rash. I don't want to disparage anyone about their weight, but all this woman did was eat snacks while sitting all day and did not have the energy to even move around. It is just not an appropriate venue for someone over 300 pounds to be working. A week before that my wife and sister observed a caretaker standing above a child on the ground berating her in another language when she thought no one was looking. There were a couple of other incidents that were just shoved under the carpet by the director who is weasel of a man. All they care about is warm bodies and are very lucky we did not press charges.

P.S. - I'm convinced that most, if not all, the positive reviews for this place are fake. They even sound contrived.

Parents, if you want a childcare center you can trust, a place where your child can be happy, well taken care of, as well as learn something. Go to Kids R Kids on Serene. I was a stay at home mom taking care of our 18 month old until my husband had his hours cut at his job. I needed to return to work. This was not an easy thing to do for a mom who never really wanted anyone to take care of my little one. Kids R Kids put my heart at ease. To see how the teachers and managers care for the children, to be able to see my child with the internet camera system, and to see what she is already learning is a dream come true for our family. I tried to check out centers on the phone, but it was not until I took a tour that I knew for sure. Thanks again.

Awesome daycare I don't normally write reviews, but this daycare is such a wonderful place to bring my children, I had to share the news. I have an infant, 2 1/2 year old and a 6 year old. All of my children have learned so much at this daycare. My 6 year old was so well prepared for public school and now receives help with his elementary homework at this daycare. The potty training that my 2 1/2 year old receives has been a miracle, as she is pretty much potty trained from her time at this daycare (and not much help from me). Plus, the teachers are so friendly and loving toward my children, I can go to work and feel comfortable where I've left my kids.

Having our child enrolled at Kids R Kids has been a great experience. I can honestly say that the teachers truly care about each child and invest the time needed to effectively teach the children vital skills that expand beyond counting, learning shapes, or other traditional skills that a child may learn in daycare. It was amazing to see our child come home and communicate with us via sign language before he could speak, or to see that the manners we were teaching him at home were reinforced at school as well. My wife and I also look forward to finding out what arts and crafts projects our son has been working on, as well as what new songs or dances he has learned to help reinforce learning in the classroom. KRK has exposed our child to so many different experiences that make him a well rounded toddler. As new parents, leaving your child at daycare can be daunting. Our son has been enrolled at KRK since he was 6 weeks old and from day one we were provided with peace and comfort. We recommend KRK to everyone because they truly are experts at what they do. If my wife and I are blessed to have another child, we would enroll him/her at Kids R Kids in a heartbeat.

BACK TO SCHOOL *** Kids R Kids on Serene***
I can??t believe the summer is over, and for our daughter who is getting ready for Elementary school next year, we wanted to get her enrolled in a strong Pre-Kindergarten program. We live in the Anthem area, and went to look at many of the schools nearby.
After taking a great amount of time taking tours we found that Kids R Kids on Serene is has the best program of academics, program enhancements including Spanish, Computers, Kidz Blocks Engineering/Science Program, ??Jump it Up? PE Program, as well as in overall services was Kids R Kids on Serene. After 11 years of offering the highest level of services, they got it down. Best of all the kids are happy and love going to school.

The main reason my husband and I wanted to have our little one to go to a childcare center was for the advantage of gaining a strong foundation to her learning. Wow, I can tell you that many schools say that they offer a learning program for the children, but Kids R Kids on Serene really does. After going to 3 other schools to evaluate the programs they offered we met the staff of Kids R Kids who took the time to actually go over the entire years curriculum with my husband and I during our tour. They have a nationally accredited curriculum that includes Spanish, American Sign Language, and Computers along with all of the foundational knowledge needed to prepare our daughter for Kindergarten and beyond. We recently had our first parent conference where the teachers reviewed their baseline testing of skills that was done in early September as well as the progress our daughter has made since that time. It was amazing to see how much learning is really going on. Over the next few months she will be tested 3 other times to be sure she is getting the attention to learning that she needs. If you want a truly academic PreSchool for your child check out Kids R Kids on Serene. You will know why we just enrolled our daughter in their Private Full Day Kindergarten for the Fall.

Wow, Kids R Kids on Serene is clean. I know that seems pretty basic but after going to 3 different schools in the area I learned that attention to detail begins with a school being clean. I love the energy at Kids R Kids, the staff the kids and the school itself is alive with positive energy. This is the kind of a place that a child can learn. Being a working mom I really appreciate how simple the Kids Cafe makes my morning routine. When we arrive at school at 6:45 the children are already sitting down and being served a hot morning breakfast. Not having to cook breakfast at home, It gives me and my daughter some quality time together before I run off to work. The attention to details continues with the curriculum that is used in their learning programs. They actually have 15 month olds communicating with their infant sign language program. Now that??s advanced education. I am excited that my child will soon be advancing into the Preschool classroom where their curriculum includes Spanish, Computers, and Sign Language. My daughter loves Kids R Kids on Serene.

Excited To Learn
Our family is unique in that we recently moved to Las Vegas for Japan with our 2 small children, ages 2 and 4. Being from another country, and only speaking our native language at home we wanted our children to be able to interact with other students their own age. After only 2 weeks our children are well adjusted and excited to go to school each day. My husband and I are amazed by the language development that we have seen already. Each night as we sit around the dinner table our children can??t wait to tell us about their day, the things they had learned and the new friends that they are making. I would want any parent to know how special Kids R Kids is in welcoming new students into their school and making them feel at home. KIDS R KIDS ON SERENE IS OUR NEW HOME. The most special service that our school has in their high speed internet viewing system called ??WATCH ME GROW?, grandma and grandpa back home Japan can stay connected to their grandchildren. This Monday at 3:30 all of the classes at Kids R Kids are going online to send Valentines greeting to all their love ones. What a special treat. Academics is important to our family, and with a good education we hope our children will excel. WE BELIEVE BECAUSE OF KIDS R KIDS ON SERENE THEY WILL.

Our child has been attending Kids R Kids on Serene for the past 3 years. What an amazing school. I have watched our child bloom both socially as well as academically. Each day we are welcomed by smiling faces at the front desk, and a cheery ??Have a great day?. At work I am able to log onto my computer and see my child learning and interacting with his friends. This year he is in the Pre-Kindergarten program and will start in their Private Kindergarten in the fall. Why, because I am an educator in the school district and I can see the difference Kids R Kids makes to a child??s early learning. Keep up the good work.

Our child age 3 1/2 has been at home learning from mom. We started to meet other children at family events who had been going to early child learning centers and realized that our daughter was not at their same level in regard to her learning and social interaction. This started us on a journey to find the best school for her to prepare to enter Pre-School and ultimately Kindergarten. After taking a few weeks to visit a number of schools I can tell you that they are not all created equal. Some just watch kids, some say they teach children, and then finally we found Kids R Kids on Serene. With a complete curriculum, which includes sign language, spanish and computer use, their program is heads above the others we looked at. When we went to take our tour, they actually showed us the entire years curriculum, answered any questions that we had, and most important to our family, we could tell that they cared.
Our daughter is now getting ready to attend the Kids R Kids on Serene Pre-Kindergartern in the fall, and I know that she will be ready. And like so many other families who go to the school now, we also plan on putting our child in their Private Kindergarten in the Fall of 2012.

I have worked in the childcare field for the past 15 years, with 7 seven of those years as an owner of a school in the Pacific Northwest. Since moving to Las Vegas I have had the opportunity of touring a number of childcare centers as we looked for a high level academic and nurturing center for our 2 children. During the interview process, and now that we have been enrolled for the past 7 months we have so appreciated the loving attention to the children and the daily running of their school as Kids R Kids on Serene. Why this is so. Being family owned and operated parents and children receive personalized attention often not found in corporate run centers. If a parent does have a question or concern it can be handled quickly with the family and child in mind.
All childcare centers are not created equal. If you are thinking about childcare, preschool or a private education I would strongly encourage you to come by the school and take a complete tour. You will know why our kids call it their home.

I think this KRK (Serene) is great! I have had my daughter here since she was about 6 months old. My son also goes here now too. Yes, there are times where they have runny noses that aren't wiped immediately, and get boo-boos with delayed reactions, and have to "ask" for attention, but that's life. They are truly cared about and loved as children and more importantly, guided to be their best every day!

I am not under the delusion that everything will be perfect for my children in any daycare. Life is about taking every situation and learning from it. I believe that if our kids are treated as perfectly as we think we want them treated, they will have no concept of how life really is. They will never have the opportunity to learn how to overcome obstacles or just "grin and bear it".

Overall, the staff at KRK is VERY caring and attentive to the children. They care enough to ask about when things happen at home and work that into the learning environment. They pay attention enough to know when my kids are "out-of-sorts" and try to find out if there is anything that they can help with to get them back on track.

Yes, there is a grouchy lady that works in the front but she doesn't work directly with the kids so I can deal with the mood swings. And yes, there are a handful of teachers who you can tell would rather not be there, but I imagine that the ratio is the same as any other place of employment. To expect otherwise is unrealistic.

I am truly happy with KRK and will continue to bring my kids and leave them there with the utmost confidence that they are in good hands.

PARENTS WANT PEACE OF MIND
I am a working parent who after soul searching and a whole lot of looking found the infant program that lets my husband and I be at peace as we work each day. Why, first of all you can tell when you enter the building that this is a school that is given alot of loving attention. Be it the welcome that you recieve in the lobby, the security check in system, the video camera system, that lets my husband and I watch our son from work or home, and finally the complete meal program that we get as part of our tuition.

I went and looked at 6 different schools in the area and hands down Kids R Kids on Serene is the best school for the price.

Go take a look, you will see for yourself.

For the past 3 years our two daughters have attended Kids R Kids on Serene. Being a fire safety trainer I am very aware of the major differences in childcare centers in Las Vegas. This school is one of the best. Whether it is the welcome I get every day from the front office staff, or the care my children receive in their classroom, I have not found any better out there during my many visits to schools. The best way for you also to know is to go by the school and take a tour. Their door is always open, and they are ready to serve your family too.

My toddler was recently pulled out too!! They blocked off the half of the room and only let the kids play in the diaper area starting at 4, which meant that if I couldn't get there until after 5, that means that she was trapped playing by the dirty diapers with no toys, so the kids would hit and kick and scratch each other. When I called them out on it, I got no support. The director pressured the girls to get those rooms cleaned and put the kids learning and exploring last. My daughter also had a rash that they blamed me for. I would get her all clear over the weekend just for it to start up again on Monday. Now that she is at the new place, CHILDTIME, she has no rash. They play at a water station, they cotton ball paint, play at the sand station and the teachers are actually involved with the children! Wow, what a concept!!!! My daughter cried for 3 weeks at Kidsrkids, and I didn't think anything of it until I realized that she was trapped with the poopy diapers, had no connection to any teacher there, and was not made to feel important. The director has no idea what a real learning environment should look like or sound like. He allows the office staff to deal with educational issuse when they have NO backround in education. I would NEVER allow ANY child to go there. If you have that wierd feeling that I had for 6 months, run faster than you ever have before. Taking my daughter out was the best thing I ever did. There are better places out there, yea they may not look like a castle, but remember to NEVER judge a book by it's cover as I did. PEASE DON"T DO IT.

My son went to Kids R Kids from the time he was 18 months to 3 years old. He was recently disenrolled from the school for acting agressively towards other children. Unfortunately, I was only informed of the seriousness of his behavior 10 days prior to his being disenrolled.

Until last week, I loved this school.

When my son first started going to Kids R Kids, the teachers had concerns regarding his hearing. They were very specific in describing the ways they tried to get his attention, asked if I noticed anything at home, and suggested I get him checked. Since I hadn't noticed a problem at home, I was grateful for their help and concern. They were as happy as I was when the test revealed no problems.

Contrasting that to the behavior issue...it's as if he were in a completely different school. When he moved into his new room in September, there was a slight increase in the number of "Oh No" reports - he'd bitten children, hit them with toys, etc. Since he was on the recieving end of a likewise increasing number of incidents, I assumed this was simply normal for his age group. And, based on my past experience with the center, I assumed that if there were an issue, the teachers would discuss it with me and we'd find a solution.

The director contacted me about two weeks ago. He told me that the teachers had exhausted all their methods, and that it was time to turn their attention towards what was going on in the home - an aggressive older sibling, perhaps? (My son is an only child). The director and I talked for maybe 5 minutes, and he mentioned moving towards disenrollment. I was a bit lost, since I couldn't get a clear explanation of how the teachers were working to correct his behavior. The Kazdin method has worked well for my son at home, and I would have suggested it had I been asked. I assumed that this would be the first of a series of conferences and I would be asked for suggestions later.

For the next few days, I worked at home to improve my son's behavior. We read books. We role played. I made an extra effort to praise non-aggressive behavior and turn-waiting. I watched the Internet cameras every chance I had to monitor how he was behaving. I asked my friends for their bluntest opinions of my son's behavior. In the days that followed, he recieved one Oh No report. Neither the teachers, the director, nor the assistant director gave me any indication that his behavior was still an issue. I was glad that we'd nipped this problem in the bud.

I was therefore shocked when the assistant director called me at work and told me that the next day would be my son's last.

Um. Ok. I have no clear idea what was going on in his classroom. I have no idea of what methods the teachers were using, or trying to use. I'm now scrambling for daycare.

The teachers are wonderful people, but they are not child psychologists nor behavioral specialists. If my child had a speech impediment, they would have talked to me and referred him out. Why didn't they do the same for his behavior? Why didn't they try to work with me?

****UPDATE****
In June 2011, I happily enrolled my two children at Kids R Kids. Both boys had been in home daycare, and adjusted easily to their new environment. The staff from 2008 remembered my son, and were excited to have him back. The best parts of Kids R Kids are still there, of course, and I haven't had a negative experience over the summer. It is a warm, loving center, and I feel lucky that my children are receiving such wonderful, nurturing care.

Looking back, when I left the director's office feeling confused, what should I have done? I should have called him the next day and asked for further clarification! I was too passive and intimidated, and expected the center to lead me. I was unable to see that my son happened to be one of those toddlers who's better off in a setting with fewer children. If I'd been more outspoken and proactive, I'd have been able to see that sooner. I can't state strongly enough how happy I am that my children are back!

I worked at this daycare for a while and took my son there. the teachers there always paid attention to their favorite kids and never paid any attention to the other children. i always would check on his since the rooms are divided by windows. my son fell right in front of the teacher he started crying she never looked down at him or anything and just picked up another kid, i was livid, the front did nothing, with food i wanted to bring something for him on the days he wouldnt eat the crap they had and they said no but yet they let kids that eat organic food bring it, they would rather have my son be hungry for 8 hrs, they told me to make him less picky{ tell me how to make a 2 yr old less picky}, also like most daycares their money hungry there, the older rooms need more toys, they dont have enough teachers for how many kids they enroll. and like the other review my son was always sick i would always run around his room and wipe all the kids noses, the teachers in there were sooo lazy.

Over all, the school seems very nice, however, I do have some serious concerns regarding the toddler class. My daughter attended there, and I have never felt the need to remove my daughter from any place until now. My daughter has stayed with people who are strangers to her and never acted the way she did when at this school. She would cry and get extremely clingy when it was time to drop her off, and she would come running full tilt, crying to get to me when I came to pick her up. There were no toys in this room for the kids to play with. I had thought that odd since the first day. The couple toys that are there are for boys and the babies don't even touch those as they are old and really uninteresting. They are like pieces of a bigger set or something. Even the "teachers" there complained of this and figured this may be part of the problem with my daughter. The kids were always sick. My daughter had to stay home for a total of a week and a half because she developed a bad rash, which she never had before this place, and she had some virus that the "teachers" couldn't seem to stay on top of. She always had a snotty face, among the other kids there. With the exception of one teacher whom I loved dearly, the other teachers were more like babysitters. Very detached rom the kids and uninvolved. There were barely any activities to keep the babies going. Watching them on camera became heartbreaking. All they did was wander around or gather at the door waiting for a chance to escape. It is agreed between a couple other parents and even some of the teachers that they should have older, more experienced teachers for that group, and TOYS! The babies are really suffering. My daughter has stopped acting out since we switched day cares and has not had another sickness or diaper rash since. She is now back to her normal self, interacting with the kids at her new place and not freaking out when I drop her off or pick her up.

This is a good school. Most of the teachers are awesome. However, sometimes the classes get out of ratio. The tuition is a little more expensive then at other places. Food and snacks are included with the tuition. Also, the school has cameras in every room so parents can check into the class , with a password, at anytime. The class schedules, games etc. are great. The kids stay very active and happy.

Excellent attention to detail. With cameras to view your child gives you the an added hand of knowing that your child is doing fine. If there is a problem they are willing to address the issue and will rectify the problem. Only problem is when parents come in the front office will not greet you and say hello.
