5 Stars: Computer Center has GREAT PRICES (by Mike V.)

I work with CADD a lot and the sales team here is really knowledgeable about different CADD systems and how to configure them correctly. Service is great here, my wife and I always come shop here simply because the sales guys always remember me and never try and over-sell me on anything. Great selection of Hard drives and their cases are also great. Prices are great for the service and support you get with it.

1 Stars: Don't shop here- What a joke (by Geovanie T.)

These good reviews were probably written by people who work there.
This place may be attractive to novices. They are always understocked and over priced. I went to look and their sales rep was trying to pass of a 32bit processor for a 64. You can get better hard drives on line, or at best buy/future shop for less. When it comes to cords, hit up "Kiesub" Electronics on highland drive. They have a much larger selection of cords for a cheaper price. Sure, their cases are OK, but you can get a better selection, and better prices, even after shipping online. PC Repair?? Please. You can Google a "do it yourself" guide and probably do a better job.

2 Stars: Slick Sales Production; Nothing More (by David D.)

Some time ago, my computer crashed and I needed someone in Vegas to fix it. Normally, I would go to PC Club and get info to fix my computer myself, but they went out of business. I then went to Computer Center (Formally Computer Builder's Warehouse). After being dazzled by their slick sales presentation and their clean and neat store, I gave them my computer to fix. The repair was simple enough - Replace motherboard, hard drive, and save the data from the previous hard drive. When I returned to pick up my computer, I discovered the work wasn't done correctly; they put a new copy of Windows XP on my new 250 GB hard drive, but formatted the hard drive to match the old 40 GB hard drive. I questioned several "extra" charges on my invoice and was given a "song and dance" routine. Frustrated and angry, I left promising myself to never return. About a week later, I discovered several wires and other connections were plugged into the motherboard incorrectly. I read the motherboard manual, which is how I discovered these additional errors. In addition, I noticed the technician changed out my CPU fan and heat sink without telling me. (The tech. switched out my heat sink for a lesser quality aluminum stock heat sink and fan.)
In summary, although the work was done fairly satisfactorily (and my initial problem solved) in the eyes of a novice, to someone who has some technical knowledge (but still needs a little help), the work performed was unsatisfactory. Also, I was over-charged for work that was neither done or done poorly. Simply put find someone else to fix your broken computer!
