The service we have received at The Computer Guy is awesome. They service our entire network of 11 computers and they really know there way around them.\r
In the past we have had other companies come out for some service and they never seemed to get it right the first time. True story, one Friday (pay day) our computer that does payroll locked up, we took it over to Tony and the guys and they had it repaired that day in time to make payroll. I do not know what I would due with out them. They also manage our web site and since then we have gone from page 63 to page 1. I sleep better knowing that I do not have to worry if a computer goes down. Everone in the shop knows to call The Computer Guy if any thing ever happens. Couldn't be any happier

Wade popped over to give me a quick estimate of price and date to repair my computer then he was back working on his task at hand (maybe your computer). His quote seemed good so I left it there. He called me on the estimated due day and I pick up my computer. His price quote was off however...$150 in MY favor. When does that happen?\r

Patient. Professional. Expediently fixed both computers; one is as old as dirt, the other two years old. ALL workers very knowledgeable... and did I mention they are very ""patient""? Great bunch at this store, they even have adorable mascots that greet you with a fast wag. All I can say is thank God there's a reliable place in Reno that takes on problems worse than over-throwing a small government. I hear they even make house calls - whoa!! AND they follow up with a phone call when they say they will - whoa again! \r

These guys rock! Wyatt took my broken laptop in on Friday and one week later it is back from the dead! My screen was cracked and the hard drive was full of viruses. I asked if it was worth fixing and he said he would check and see if the screen wasn't too expensive and call me back. Best Buys said it was going to cost more than it was worth and they tried to sell me a new one.
They were going to give me 45.00 for mine! I told them no and then took it to the Computer guys. Anyway Wyatt called with the price and I told him go. Then four or five days later he called to let me know it was in. Now the laptop works faster, and the monitor is clearer than before. I don't think I have ever been happier! You need to take your laptop here to get it fixed!!! These guys know what they are doing!

I had a virus on my 6 month old computer, so i started looking for a place to take it. I saw a number of cheap offers on craigslist from people doing free lance work, but decided to pay a little more and take it to an actual shop. I was roped in by the computer guy's $59 special. They also had a Jesus fish on their front door, and on their website. Being a Christian, I figured these guys were as well, and I would not be ripped off by them. Boy was I wrong. Once I was in the store, he informed me it would be $79. Not a big difference, and I was all ready there so I agreed, and told them I was rather poor and absolutely could not afford more. He assured me that it would be no more than $79, and only on extreme circumstances would it require more money, and with my computer only being 6 months old, it would be fine. A few hours later however, i get a call from them informing me that it would require two hours of work, and the cost would now be $158! I said I could not afford that, but they told me my only options were to come and get the computer, still infected, and pay them 50 bucks, or I would have to pay the $158. With my hands tied, I had little option, but to pony up the full $158. They straight up ripped me off! I will never go here again, and I highly reccommend everyone else go to some other place as well. And as if to pour salt on my wound, when I got home I found a ""computer guy"" sticker stuck on my computer, and when I removed it, it left a mark. Thanks for nothing computer guy!

I may be wrong but the only person who would write a review that couldn't be farther from the truth, could only be a under qualified ex employee or an extremely malfunctioning human being. We all know one of those. I travel all over the Country and work with 100's of small to very large companies. It is an honor to have a business right here in Reno, NV that compares to the best our Country has to offer. Tony his Wife and their staff have the most professional, Honest and Kind people a customer should except. They have for eight years fixed every problem my systems have had. They do the work in a timely and reasonably priced manner. Never have I felt they have over charged or service under-performed. You can feel safe if you work with this fine Company. Keep up the great work. You will always get my recommendations.

We all know one of those. I travel all over the Country and work with 100's of small to very large companies. It is an honor to have a business right here in Reno, NV that compares to the best our Country has to offer. I have a laptop that had a video problem. I was told by HP that the laptop would have to be returned to HP for repair at my expense 324.00!!! I called TCG and they told me 158.00 and it could be done and back to me in a week! I brought my laptop in...three days later a tech called and said they were doing a video repair...the next day, done!\r
158.00 as they said and a very professional lady took my payment and informed me of the process that was done.\r

I called ahead to verify they would be able to fit me in. I had a pleasant conversation with, Jennifer, and although she cannot answer even the most basic question on pricing or available hardware, I found her friendly and figured I would speak with a tech at the store.\r

Nope. Only, Jennifer, and the dogs. What are my choices for RAM? For DVD drives? For sound cards? Who knows? Certainly no one at this store.\r

I was expected to leave the comp, and would be called ""within 3 days"" by a tech. With what...an estimate? Yeah.\r

I was stunned enough to actually leave the tower. I was given a ""reciept"" containing no estimate...pricing...or any information about my system. Upon reviewing the ""reciept"", it contains a clause stating, "" ""The Computer Guy"" is not responsible for theft "". Meaning...I just dropped off a dual video card gaming tower for a RAM upgrade to someone who cannot verify one of their employees won't choose to keep it.\r

AS of this writing...it is Saturday morning and I am waiting for them to open up so I can go get my tower before they actually do anything other than store my comp for the entire weekend.\r

Honestly...would you bring your shirts to a laundry that couldn't tell you what it would cost for 3 days? Would you use an auto repair station who said, ""drop it off and someone will call you within 3 days to tell you an estimate? If not...there is absolutly no reason to patronize this establisment. One star only because I cannot give none.\r

These guys were very helpful! I had some keys broken on my laptop by my dog stepping on it. They checked the laptop and gave it back to me. When the laptop keyboard replacement was in, they called me and it took all of five minutes to replace. Great Service! Friendly People! How much better can it get than that!

I took my computer to The Computer Guy and was greeted by a young lady who put my fears to rest! She said that they had been experiencing lots of computers with the same problems as mine and that the techs were very good and would keep in touch with me all the way! I knew from her kind demeanor that everything was going to be okay, not to mention she is a Christian! I left the computer there and four days later (I understand there is a little backlog) a technician called me and told me he was going to be working on the computer and did I have any special requests. I told him I just wanted to make sure the pictures of my grandchildren were okay. He called the next day and told me the virus was gone and it was ready for pick up! They even carried it to the car for me! I won't go anywhere else, that is for sure!

This place, which has since moved to California St was very disappointing. Starting with the woman at the front desk who seems to have little knowledge as to what's going on in her shop and ending with an inexperienced team of technicians; I found this place to be completely unsatisfactory.

When I took in my computer, the technician told me he would call me five days later at the latest. After the sixth day, I heard nothing so I called them. The man who answered the phone repeatedly forgot the name on my order; then told me he'd have the computer ready the following day, which it wasn't.

The technician informed me that he had to completely reset my entire computer. I specifically told him to save the music, which he did. Only, he forgot to put it back on. He finally fixed the problem, but only after my fourth trip to the business was everything resolved.

I've also had problems connecting to the internet ever since I took the computer back. Something, the technician told me he couldn't help with.

Very disappointing.
