My review is for the RENTALS
I rented an Rv for my family for a trip to Arizona. The RV may have been a bit older, but it still ran great and made our vacation a great experience. The staff was really Helpful. The rental staff went above and beyond to try and make sure my trip was on track. They walked me through how to use everything (we were first time RV Renters so this meant a lot to us!) The checkout process was pretty painless. Waited a few minutes for the walk-through but nothing major, while waiting I was kept updated on how long it would be by the staff.

Also, I have to mention the prices....we shopped around at several different companies for RV rentals and a few things that we liked that I have to point out....The rates are much cheaper than the competing companies. (yes the RVS seem to be a little older, but to me it was worth it...I mean we didn't have any major issues and the unit didn't break down or anything).

ALSO...I noticed that the other companies wanted to charge us for miles right off the bat!
Sahara at least gave us some free miles before the miles charge kicked in. (we rented for 7 days and they gave us 1,000 free miles!!!) We went over about 50 miles and had to pay like $20-30 for the remainder of miles....not too bad...I can't imagine having to pay that other 1,000 miles.....too expensive! Glad that they offered some free miles for us!

I think my only complaint is that insurance is required unless you get a actual notice from your insurance company with the vin and stuff of that vehicle you're renting. Nuisance, but not that big of a deal I guess..(the deductible is like $2,000 or 2500?) so I would look into getting the things form your insurance company. Besides that, Sahara RV treated my family right and we look forward to renting with them again.

They took my RV for nearly a year to try and sell it.When I went to pick it up, they had never even made the bed to make it presentable. The electronics were stolen out of it. The paint had blistered due their lack of care. The fluids were nearly dry making test drives risky. I could go on and on. They dinged me for thousands of dollars in what I consider questionable repairs. When I took my RV in to consign they treated me like gold. When I finally picked it up because of no results they treated me like dirt. They say they had a break-in and someone stole my electronics, but they will not provide a date it happened or a police report. They continue to ignore my requests for information on when it happened and why they didn't notify me. They never called me about the supposed theft, but after pressing them, they just happened to find of my projector in their own supply room. I've been RVing for nearly 30 years. I've never met a dealer I consider to be as pathetic. NEVER!

If you are looking for someone to ruin your vacation, you have come to the right place.
We contracted with SAHARA RV to rent an RV for our vacation, giving them a $100 deposit. They were real firm on us signing a cancellation policy which states A DEPOSIT of $100.00 is required to GUARANTEE YOUR RESERVATION. (Their emphasis). The policy says that you will lose half of your deposit if you cancel 5 days out, lose all of it if you cancel 4 days out. We paid our money to guarantee rental RV.
Two days prior to the rental, they call and say that the unit will not be ready on time, 9:00 am, it would be a couple hours late. We told them that even picking the unit up late, we still wanted it. We took a cab from our hotel over to Sahara RV around 1:00. The unit wasnt ready. They said that it would be around 2:00 or 2:30. They then contacted me to tell me it would be after 3:30, would we like to look at a smaller unit. We looked at the Class C which was really tired and decided to cut out loss and leave.
We wasted an entire day trusting that these people were competent. The answer to that is decidedly NO. Neither competent nor capable. Gambling is part of Las Vegas but you shouldnt have to gamble and loose on your vacation by dealing with SAHARA RV.

I wish I could post a NO STAR rating

I was the winning bidder of a 1990 37' Allegro off E-Bay on October 17th 2012 from Sahara RV Center in Las Vegas. I flew to Vegas on the 19th to pay for and pick up the RV. I was told by Les Gray(Salesman) and John Riley(Service Manager) that said RV had had a complete tuneup, oil change and servicing. When I arrived at the dealership they had said motor home out back and were "giving it the once over" for my trip back to Ohio. I found out that they were having electrical problems with the generator and electrical sockets inside the motor home. Something told me to cut my losses and fly back home, however after a long talk with John Riley he assured me that the motor home was road worthy and that I had nothing to worry about for my 2100 mile trip home. I don't know what they did but they dummied it so that everything was working. I paid for the motor home and went about leaving for my trip. I got 300 miles out of Vegas(just past Salina, Utah to be exact) and the motor over heated. I pulled over and let it cool down and filled the radiator turned back towards Salina because the next services were over 100 miles away going east. The Motor overheated AGAIN before I even got back to Salina. I pulled into an RV park and took a look at the engine. Two spark plug wires had melted and I just figured it was because the engine overheated. I called Napa autoparts and they delivered plugs, cap, rotor and wires as well as tools to get them all changed. The wires were obviously original wires on the motor home and there were 2 spark plugs that were cracked in half and obviously not been JUST changed as I was told. The generator was again not working unless you jump started it and half the plugs(electrical) were not working again. There was an RV repair facility out front of the camp grounds that inspected the engine and said that I had a blown engine the block was cracked and the heads were warped. I called Sahara RV and told Les Gray about the problem and he directed me to John Riley who in turn said he would talk with the owner about the problem. The Owner said that I was on my own and sorry for my luck. These guys are scamming the public and people should beware of doing business with them. I realize that I bought the RV as-is but to be told that they had just did a complete tune up and servicing of this motor home and that I would have no problems making it home and have years of trouble free use of it was a bold faced lie.

Wost customer service in town and even worse than the crappy Johnnie Walkers RV. Will definitely not be going back. Drug addict, haters that rip you off don't deserve my hard earned money and if there was a no star rating I would select it. :(

I went to Sahara RV to purchase a tent trailer for the summer. I got the 2010 Rockwood 1809S and I have to say it's an amazing vehicle! It was a good deal because the sticker price was $17578 and I got it for just $16500! What a discount! Moreover, SaharaRV technicians set it all up for me and the dealer even gave me 5 years warranty!

I highly recommend SaharaRV, they will even allow me to trade in my trailer next year when the new rockwoods come out so I'm definitely going back there.

Rented us an RV with a generator that failed in 1/2 hour after leaving Las Vegas 105 degree temps. We had our two dogs, no air conditioning. They don't answer their phones after 5pm, NO VOICE MAIL. We called right before closing and they told us to take care of it ourselves. We stayed in a Motel 8 the first night in Las Vegas to wait for a repairman that we found in the yellow pages.
We had to call a repair guy to come to us and replace the air filter that was so clogged, the generator wouldn't run. TV broken, DVD broken, kitchen table wouldn't stay up, fell to the floor. Curtains pulled down, broken.. couldn't pull up. The oven didn't work. POORLY MAINTAINED. No place to leave your car, we had to drive across town to find long term parking at the airport...The insurance you buy has a 1000.00 deductible. We made an appt with the general manager John Wiley when we returned the RV. You got it... he was conveniently gone to an appointment, he had our email/phone info and didn't bother to let us know, or leave word for anyone to help us. The staff is SUPER SUPER UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! DON'T WALK AWAY FROM SAHARARVdotCOM in Las Vegas.. RUN, RUN!!! Save yourself a lot of grief.

Will be renting this month, Sept., but so far everyone I've spoken to has been friendly and helpful,my rental unit is only less than 2 yrs. old and the pricing in comparison to others is competitive and so far, no hidden charges. Plus they are trowing in some extra miles, free, plus a T.V. and DVD player at no extra cost and unlimited generator usage. Will let you all know how it went upon our return

Awful place and it was referred to me by a business in LV. They hire convicts and drug users. The RV had no television and all kinds of things wrong with it. Cosmetic and mechanical. We had no idea when our levels were correct. They charge a $1000 deposit for the awning, but no tv/dvd player. They obviously have some unsavory characters who rent from them. I have contacted the business who referred them and told them my story. A successful business is built of repeat business and word of mouth. I doubt they get much.

an awful experience, they rented my a 4 to 5 year old beat up RV, that was missing window screens, cabinet doors bounced open, drawers didn't work properly, staff was rude, seemed inexperienced, didn't care about customers satisfaction at all. I thought I was getting a good deal which quickly turned into a nightmare. Next time I will rent from Cruiseamerica and Pay more and get the service and support from a nationwide company.

Took a motorhome to Sahara RV to get some normal upkeep stuff done to it. They charged $90 to inspect the vehicle; and then $90 an hour to do any repairs. Not saying that they don't do decent repairs; but how do you get away with charging that much to do basic work?

PROS: good central location
CONS: too expensive
