Both girls that work there needs to take a class in customer service. They didn't explain about how to fill out the appreciation for employment, other customer there were asking me what to do,lucky for me that I have common sense. And the white girl, didn't use eye contact at all, maybe she is afraid of black.I could tell the the looks of things that they would call someone that they like,so I will not waste my gas.

There are too many people out here in las vegas with great customer service skill that will love to have both of those girls jobs...get rid of them.

Hi have had quite the experience at Labor Ready too. There was a fat white girl who worked the desk. I went every morning for about a week. I arrived at about 6:00am (when I was told to get there) each day. I explained that I had three babies and had to work to feed them. I was quite humble and desperate. When she would get phone calls right in front of me for workers, she would avoid the people who were waiting there and she would then call the people she liked on the phone. It was very rude. She was rude to any new face and the experience I had, this particular women seemed to favor African American men. I believe in equal rights however I am against favortism. I guess she assumed because I am white, I didn't really need the work. Oh well! What can you do? Many things including that, lead to my divorce. My wife ended up splitting and taking my three babies with her.

In conclusion, I would say... If you are super desperate for money.... say a prayer and go to labor ready. If you have nothing else to do that anyway, I guess your chances of making money are better if you just go. No one is going to knock on your door and hire you. On the other hand, I would suggest trying everything else first before Labor Ready. Of the years.... I have been to labor ready maybe 15 times. I have actually been sent out for work twice. One of those times, I only worked two hours (because that's all they needed me for) and I was paid for four hours. That part was cool. Labor Ready is like playing the ghetto lottery. If you win... you get to work for a day for minimum wage.

Waste of time. Don't bother applying. I was highly qualified, but they use their "regulars" first. After four hours of waiting, I left. Stay away.

The only good thing about :abor Ready is that they offer daily pay. You are required to stand in line at 4:30am. You are in a line of over a hundred people. They then assign you to a minimum wage job. Thats if they haven't filled all the kobs by the time you get your turn in line. I would definitly avoid them, if you can. Of coarse daily pay can be great, but this is not a long term solution. They have so many other agencies that will pay you well above minimum wage. Get what you are worth and don't settle for peanuts.
