Yext.comI don't Know about Dr. SImon but Dr. Parantala has been amazing with my Dog and me. She takes all the time in the world to talk to me and she is very meticulous when she is checking my dog. I have been taking my dog since he was 8 weeks old and I haven't had a problem. I highly recommend this hospital. Dr. Parantala is a very honest and a very loving person. My dog now is 2 he is healthy and happy dog and not afraid to see his doctor!

I'm somewhat confused as to why people only write about one vet (Dr. Simon) at Warm Springs when they have several on staff. Dr. Parantala actually works at both Warm Springs A.H. and Desert Inn A.H. (the facilities are tied together) and she is fantastic! Very knowledgable, professional, thorough and up-to-date with her information. She's very caring and I'm truly grateful to have found her. We have several cats and she is excellent with them! She has done everything from check ups to surgery with our crew of kitties. Desert Inn has some more advanced facilities, but you can't beat the front desk staff/vet techs at Warm Springs. There are 2 ladies in particular that are so great (I wish I could remember their names!) The hospitals both use a web portal too which is great.

I've used this Vet Mike Simon 4 20 years, especially over the past 10 years for my 2 pit bulls. The last 3-4 visits my 10yr old dog was seriously protesting his visits. My 5yr old dog kind of protested on our last visit & I did not think much of it really HOWEVER I had thoughts rumbling around in my head. On 03/26/09 I took them both 4 their shots, nail trim, etc. & they both started acting EXTREMELY WILD, NOT wanting 2 even enter the building. It was a real task trying 2 get the pair of them in the Sally Port door. Finally we were in & the Vet & Assistant came 4 my 5yr old first & I literally had 2 push his butt skidding along the floor out of the room 2 go get his nails trimmed. He has never acted that way before! He's a WHITE dog. When he came back in 2 me he had a HUGE red cherry thump on the bridge of his nose, he was panting profusley & his eyes were beet red & bugging out of the sockets. I gave him some treats & they then took my 10yr old. When they brought my 10yr old back into the room the Vet Assistant asked if she could give the dogs some treats I said Yes. My 10yr old took the treat & here is what my 5yr old did: the Vet Assistant leaned down 2 hand him a treat & he ducked his head & ran from her around my back side 2 get away from her. I watched every move she made & every move my dog made because of that HUGE red cherry thump he had on his nose. He was CLEARLY afraid of her. I was not going to say anything until she tried 2 give him the treat & I then realized she obviously had cracked him on the nose with the clippers or something. He's a super gentle dog & offering him a treat is generally a good thing. I called the Vet back into the room & told him of my concern. He insisted no one had harmed the dog, he grabbed some treats & gave them 2 both dogs, both of which took the treats w/o hesitation. My little one RAN from the Vet Assistant when she offered a treat but easily accepted the treat from the Vet. The Vet Assistant did something 2 BOTH of my dogs & I will NEVER go back there again & I recommend HIGHLYyouDON'T take your dogs there either. We are at a NEW Vet 05/2009, first visit my little one was so frightened after Warm Springs Animal Hospital treatment that he urinated and defecated on himself. 3rd visit he's improved 90%.

My mom took her dog here and left her for the Thanksgiving holiday and when she picked her dog up, the dog was covered in feces. This means the animal was never cared for. The animal hospital could have at least cleaned her before they let the owners see the dog in that condition. Appropriate filings have been made with the city and it won't be too long before they're shut down.
WARNING TO ALL, TAKE YOUR PET HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

I have been taking my pets to this vet for a few years and Dr. Simon is very good. The staff is very friendly and treats and handles the pets with care.
The review from Stephanie sounds like a she is a disgruntle employee that is black balling this vet and the practice, which is a shame, for her downfalls that she can't keep a job.

I honestly feel that it would be a huge mistake to bring your pets here. Your pet will be greatly mistreated, whether it is during a surgery (your pet will most likely be awake), boarding (fed a tiny amount 1 time a day, and not receiving the toys u leave for them), x-rays (your pet will be slammed around because the techs do not like doing xrays), etc. The list goes on. The doctor is not happy in his life and takes it out on his employees, therefore making the employees unhappy, and they take it out on your pet. I love my pets and would NEVER bring them here.

Abay L is his daughter. Funny how he needs his family to write a positive review for him. From my experience I would not recommend anyone taking your pet to this hospital.

I took a dog there 10 years ago for minor checkup and nail trimming. She came home terrified of having her nails trimmed. 10 years later she still is terrified of nail trimming. Don't know what they did. Took another dog there for emergency surgury where my mare had kicked my heeler in the face. They removed two or three broken teeth and basically accused me of being negligent. I took a puppy there for shots and got average service. I stopped going there and have never been back.

Dr. Simon and his staff have been taking care of our pets for 20+ years. Most recently, we had to deal with the passing of our much loved cat. Dr. Simon was there for us every step of the way. I would recommend Warm Springs Animal Hospital to anyone who wants great care for their family pets!

I have known Dr. Simon for 12 years and he has given us nothing but the best everytime we show up. He has been practicing for over 25 years and his diagnostic skills are top notch. The staff is friendly and so kind to my animals. I never had any reason to go anywhere else and with service like this i never will.

We have been taking our animals to Dr Simon for 13 years. I wouldn't go anywhere else. My first pet which was a Sharpe had epilepsy and suffered from seizures. Doc Simon was always there, from support and medical care, to the tough decisions of putting him down. The staff at W.S.A.H. were just the most caring and wonderful people ever. My dog died at the doctors during a seizure and Dr Simon and his staff were just a rock of support and care. They handled taking care of my beloved pet and after they had him cremated for me he was return in a beautiful ceder and brass box. All this and it wasn't highway robbery either. Although I would have paid whatever the cost. It was nice to know I wasn't taken advantage of in my fragile state. We now have two new dogs and they both go to Dr Simon. God bless Dr Simon and the staff at warm springs animal hospital!

I came into this place for my dog to have a basic check-up. The wait time was 35 minutes before we we're called into the room. We waited another 20 minutues to have a doctor to perform a basic check-up on my dog. The service was at most average. Overall- not good and not bad.

We started taking our dogs here when we first moved to Vegas and lived down the block. The staff was so pleasant and friendly. After a few trips you were like one of the family. Doc Mike Simon has been the best. He treats are dogs and all other animals well and gives them the best care. He has helped us make hard decisions when we had to. He does give the dogs the best of care and after surgery or other problem he does follow up to see how they are doing. We moved way accross town but still make the drive when our pets need anything.
PROS: A vet that is good to pets and people.
CONS:

Hi everyone. I would not recommend taking your animal to this place. The doctor is unhappy and he takes it out on his employees and animals. He puts on a false front..its a very different story when your animal is out of sight. Trust me i know!!! I would not post this if it was not true.
Pros: sorry but there are no pros
Cons: almost everything..the treatment of the animals, treatment of staff, horrible environment

I have taken my pets to Warm Springs Animal Hospital for about 8 years. I would definitely recommend this doctor to anyone who loves their pet. Very friendly staff and a compassionate and understanding doctor. I had a very sick dog and Dr. Simon was caring and very helpful to make me understand what was wrong. I will continue to take me pets here...
Pros: friendly, caring, great $
Cons: ? I can't think of anything

Great care and a friendly staff....I have been taking my pets there for several years. Dr. Simon is wonderful with animals.
Pros: Compassionate care
Cons: none

Dr Simon is not a very good doctor. He rolls his eyes when told that he has a room to go into. He mistreats his employees and in turn his employees mistreat your pet. You pet will get slammed around, not fed properly, not get their toys or bed that you leave for them while boarding, among other things. He performs surgeries while the animal is awake and does not care. He also lets his employees that are not licensed to work on your pet. I have witnessed all of the above firsthand. If you love your pet DO NOT take them to him.
Pros: Absolutely NOTHING
Cons: Surgeries while animal is awake, animals slammed around, no food for your pet, no licensed tech

Good place to get health care for your pet. Efficient staff and ethical doctors. My pet has received multiple procedures without complications. Doctors there do not try to gouge you with unecessary meds. like other facilities in the valley
Pros: efficient staff
Cons: lots of users, may have to wait to be seen
