Barbers DO use clippers, not scissors-only cuts as one reviewer described. When I commented on this, I got a look like I had suddenly started speaking a foreign language.

Probably the worst haircut, and for sure the worst shave I've ever had.

The shave; The lady that gave me the shave commented that I was too "tense" and it was my fault she gave me a bad shave - her words, not mine?!? BTW - the "bad" shave apparently cost as much as the good one -$25!!!

The cut; The barber - Vern - talked constantly and ignored my direction on how I would like my hair cut. I now have essentially a bowl cut and have to spend more to have it fixed.

If you just need a trim to maintain a cut, then maybe this place is fine, but I can guarantee I will never go back!

JUST like the barber shop I went to when I was a kid!! Great, friendly people, guys that look like REAL barbers and not unemployed real estate agents. Great haircuts, (and they give shaves!) comfortable chairs, TV, newspapers, even has that faint smell of Pinaud talcum powder from 40 years ago. They even have a HOT Japanese girl who cuts hair as well, which is the only clue that this shop is in Las Vegas.

If you are a guy and want a great traditional barber shop haircut at a fair price, you won't be disappointed. Real barbers old-style dedication to doing good work, and very professional people.

I've had the same barber for 14 years, ever since I moved to the Las Vegas Valley. Not the same barber shop, but literally the same guy cutting my hair for 14 years. This is a barber shop for people who want a barber. What more needs to be said?

PROS: Everything
CONS: None that I know of

This is a barber shop. It is not a beauty shop that cuts mens hair on the side. It is not a stylist who makes you look all pretty. This is your old fasioned man's barber. We talk, we read dirty books,(well ,ok sports illustrated swimsuit issue is as risque as it gets), we get our hair cut with the same guy every month. Real men only please.Way out on Eastern, the building is old and so is the barber. Well worth the drive to get a real haircut. Also you don't pay a fortune. Get it done for around $17.

My husband used to get his hair cut at the fast clip joints and his hair was never the same as the people were always quitting and new people getting hired. All the barbers at the Village Barber shop are experienced and they stay put. He gets a nice cut each time he goes. Yes, it is more expensive than the clip joints, but how often do you really get your hair cut? It is well worth it if you look better and your hair is cut uniformly. He looks forward to going there as he enjoys the conversation.
