Central Christian Church

As a visitor to Las Vegas, going to church was not a high priority for me. After being brought up in the church for many years, I have quit going for many reasons.After my daughter moved to Henderson,she started attending your church and was immediately impressed with the message of the church and how it was presented in a down to earth manner.After hearing her renewed interest in religion once again, she convinced my wife and myself to go to church with her. Now when we get to come visit our daughter, attending a service at Central with her is a high point of our time there, because of the lessons being taught by the great people we have come to admire at this oasis in the desert.

Although I believe there intentions are good, I feel there is a lack of solid biblical teaching. The times I have gone it was very Entertaing, however church is not where you go to be etertained, it's where you can serve, and grow.
Jud Wilhite is a very motivating speaker, and seems to be a great guy, I just hope that his preaching becomes more Christ centered with more biblical reference.
I am not trying to be devisive just realistic.

Having gone to a large church in California where suddenly one Sunday you wake up and realize all they want is your money, coming to Central is to me the most Jesus-based church I've ever been to. I think Jesus would have spoken calmly, didn't need a $500 suit, or a robe to channel what God says, he would speak in a calm smiling manner--so at Central, not only do you get to rock out, watch a short flick, and then listen to a guy that tells stories and jokes, and seldom asks for some of my small amount of money, this is home.

I went to services on a saturday and haven't missed a service since. The band is amazing, the messages are extremely applicable to daily life, and I don't have any complaints at all. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I have found a home in Central.

Central is an awesome church. I've been part of the church for years and have found the people to be genuine and authentic. They value people, pray for people, and in general really care about sharing God with others. I've been behind closed doors in meetings with both Jud Wilhite, the Sr. Pastor, and others like Mike Bodine and Michael Murphy, who serve on the staff. I have been very impressed with their spirtuality and care for people. They are the real deal.

Unfortuanely, the previous reviewer sounds like a disgruntled employee taking cheap shots. Don't believe it, but find out for yourself. They do services in Henderson and Summerlin. I think you'll be encouraged and challenged. I've always been glad when I attended there.

I love this Church. They are truly spreading God's Word. They have several meeting times for their general service , as well as , meetings of learning classes and meetings of small groups. The small groups are formed to learn and associate with members of the church on a one to one basis. They have separate rooms for the children to meet with peers of their own age while the older members meet to worship together. The wear is informal. I see dresses and heels , sports shirts and slacks, shorts and sandels and jeans and t shirts. The pastors are young and very excited about their duty to spread the gospel. They help those in need with a food bank, money to pay bills and house payments. Everyone there is friendly and treats you as a brother. There is a library , bookstore , coffee shop and seperate smaller chapel inside the large church meeting place to find inner peace when you need to be closer to your Lord. Best of All......the music ROCKS!!!!!!!!!

This church is awesome. I can't say enough about this church. I'm so glad that my girl-friend Janice took me there one Sunday. I had my doubts, but now I'm devoted to Central Cchristian church. I was baptized Roman Catholic when I was a baby and the church hasn't done anything for me now, but when I went here to this church Oh! Boy! ,I fell in love with this church and the people who make you feel so welcome. I call this church my church. And the band is awesome as well. I go ever Wedsneday and Sunday. And on August 28th I'm gonna be baptize Christian.

I just started going to Central Christian Church and loved it from the moment I stepped foot into the building. The band is awesome! The members at Central made me feel welcome and were a great source of information. I would recommend this church and suggest that if you are looking, you need to look here.

Big church, warm feeling. Central has something for everybody. small groups keep you connected,and many community activities.
