We were there a year or two ago and had the worst possible time. We loved Laughlin...just not Harrah's. We did not find a eating place there that we liked, so we went down to the other hotels. The room was horrible, the service worse. When we complained to the front desk they made some smart remark about getting what you pay for. I wish we had gotten THAT much even. I know we had really cheap rooms, but this was the worst experience we have ever had in a hotel...and certainly did not expect it from the Harrah's name. Next trip we will go to Laughlin instead of Vegas and we will be staying somewhere other than Harrah's - at any price.

Situated at the top of the 'hill' in Laughlin, Harrah's is the largest hotel and casino in this small strip on the River. They've got a relaxing pool and beach area where you can cool off in the river or lay out. Room accomodations are simple and nice, and theres plenty of gambling and eateries throughout the hotel. This is a nice slow paced alternative to Vegas, and be sure to get a players card for when you gamble for lots of freebies like rooms and buffets.

Occasionally we receive coupon offers from Harrah's/Laughlin for a two night stay their hotel. The offer is usually in conjunction with a slot tournament, or Blackjack tournament. Why not? The rooms are free, and we like the access to the Colorado River. We also enjoy the ferry boats that run almost 24/7 back and forth among all the river fronted hotel casinos in Laughlin, and taking walks along the river. Harrah's Laughlin has the best beach front of all the hotels, and the pool is magnificent. Just keep your money in your pockets since they seem to have the tightest slots I've ever played!

This buffet is amazing. My favorite thing was the dessert bar. They actually have a chocolate fountain in which they will drench big juicy strawberries and fluffy marshmallows for you. I can't say one bad thing about the food.

We loved the pool and beach front access, in fact I would rate their beach as the best in Laughlin! The casino employees are wonderful and very helpful, however, the buffet was one of the worst experiences ever. My husband is disabled and the cashier yelled at him bvecause he was in the handicapped line and wanted to know the nature of his disability before she would help him. Then, after dinner , the elevator broke down and we were stuck for over 30 minutes, the a/c in the room was broken, and every one that came to the room gave us a different story (maintenence was knock ing our door through 1 a.m.). Upon arriving home we found out that we were charged twice fior a room that we were told was comped.
