But just like any Vegas restaurant, the prices are much higher than other Rainforest Cafes. It's a cool atmosphere with the mechanical animals, rainforest sounds, and storms. It's actually great for kids too. Food is good and drinks are good, but the price just doesn't match. BUT the chocolate lava cake is AMAZING!

there were about 12-14 people altogether in our party and we had to spend two hours, 1,5 out of it - waiting for food. And it is too much junk. Not very good quality. All I liked was the scene

This restaurnant is simlair to Red Robin in terms of noisiness, kids, and food options, but not as tasty. I've eaten here twice and the food is ok. It's not super flavorful and not well priced for what you get. However, the atmsophere is pretty fun with the cheesy animal decor, and the thunderstorms are fun to watch. If you're looking to redeem MGMfood credit, don't use it here though. Mgm will only credit for restuarnts they own, which apparenly doesn't include this one. Overall, it ok.

The food was great! We had a shrimp pasta dish, paella (OMG!), and bananas Foster. The service was good and friendly, maybe a bit rushed. The food was fresh and plentiful....the entrees were a bit too much for one person to eat and we didn't even have an appetizer, plus, we can both eat! Because the entrees were delicious, we forced ourselves to have dessert, predicting that it would be great, besides, we deserved a treat. Good thing we shared the dessert.

Aquariums are a nice feature.

About the only possible con is that this is not the place for those who are looking for a quiet relaxing place to eat............there were a lot of kids there and making a lot of noise, on top of the jungle noises and rain/thunderstorm.

I would definitely dine here again.

This place is a novelty inside the MGM Grand. We ate there before seeing Ka. The service was good, and the environment stole the show. It's easy to watch the fish tanks, or the little animations that certain animals make throughout the dining area, but the food was just ok. I probably got my fill the first time I went and will not go back.

Despite the fact that we have a Rainforest at home, we decided to go here for dinner in Vegas. Overall a cute place with fun ambiance. We liked the thunderstorms every half hour or so. Service was slightly sketchy, though, and the food all seemed to come out at once. It didn't help that the table was super mini when all that food came out. Not sure if I would go back anytime soon, but it was fun nonetheless. Good frozen drinks.

The restaurant certainly looked and sounded like a rainforest complete with lightning, thunder, and animal sounds. Unfortunately, the sounds were so loud that we could hardly carry on a conversation at our table. The noise was too intense for my easy going 4 year old.

The food was average comparable to other family-oriented menus. We ordered calamari and were disappointed when it arrived looking very crumbled on the plate. The flavor was good but the pieces were so tiny it looked like we were served other diners' crumbs. The rest of the food we ordered was okay but slightly over-priced.

Our server was very inattentive and seemed to disappear for long periods of time. We waited over 25 minutes to be served our drinks. It was disappointing.

Pros: Valet Parking, On the Strip, Reservations Accepted

Cons: Noisy, Noisy, Noisy!!, Inattentive Service

If you visit Las Vegas I suggest you eat here. Their shrimp is the best I've had. Especially the coconut shrimp.. Make sure you leave room for the volcano.

THE RAINFOREST CAFE IS LOCATED IN THE MGM. IT IS A GREAT PLACE FOR CHILDREN. THEY CAN ENJOY A GREAT MEAL FOR KIDS, CONSISTING OF DINOSAUR-SHAPED CHICKEN NUGGETS. THEY HAVE SIMULATED RAIN STORMS AND ELECTRONIC ANIMALS THEY CAN WATCH AND ENJOY WHILE THEY EAT.

we went to the rainforest cafe for our anniversery dinner. after waiting in a long line we ended up getting the worst seat in the place. i was seated facing the line that waited to get in (within inches and they were staring at me also) and my back was to all the jungle vegitation and animal noises. that was the reason i wanted to go there in the first place. i would have rather waited longer on such a special occasion rather than feel the whole thing was ruined by the horrible seating. i kept trying to turn completely around to see something other than that line of people that was staring at me. the food was good but i will never go back.

PROS: good food
CONS: bad seating arrangements

I took my family to the Rainforest, for dinner, and it was a mistake, so-so food, overpriced, and not very good, but who could tell with the noisse and racket. It was terrible.

Yes the key thing in other reviews is kids. And where you have kids and rainstorms, you have lots of noise. This place is extremely noisy. However, it is a unique atmosphere. Food is just marginal and nothing different.

I have taken many children here for a tour and lunch. I had worked at a day care center and set up a tour. The staff is very friendly and our tour guide was very knowledgeable about answering the childrens questions. We all enjoyed the lunch that was served us. The food is great.

The Rainforest Cafe, located inside the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, is a must-see if you have kids -- although it's cool enough for just adults. The ambiance is awesome, like you've just stepped into a rainforest: you're surrounded by realistic-looking animals and real aquariums, and under a canopy of trees. There are "rainstorms" every half-hour. The food is delicious, too! The prices aren't especially cheap, but they're not overly expensive for what you're getting, either -- they average about $12 - $14 per person. For a one-time fee, you can get a pretty good discount on your return visits. Definitely a Las Vegas must-see!

The food here was pretty good, the BBQ chicken pizza really hit the spot. The atmosphere is a little overwhelming, but I suppose it achieved what they were going for. The service I received, however, was horrible. The waiter was inattentive and spent most of his time watching the basketball game at the bar instead of serving us. They never brought the salad my girlfriend ordered but they made sure it got on the bill. The management did apologize, but I doubt I'll ever return! The worst service I've ever had in Vegas!

I had a party of 13 and decided to call ahead, when we go there I was glad I did because there was a long line waiting to get in. We we're seated immediately and they made extra room for my extra guest. The waiters were friendly and efficient, the drinks large and the food good. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the portions were huge. I didn't find the prices that execissive compared to the rest of Vegas. The decor is a bit tacky though kids will love it and it's fun for a one off thing. There are animatronic jungle animals and every half hour a simulated thunderstorm. It's a bit loud and chilly inside the restaurant but we still had a good time.

I've eaten at Rainforest Cafes in Orlando, Philadelphia and now Las Vegas. The dining experience is the same nationwide. Mediocre food, hideous service and grossly overpriced. At least they are consisent. Consistently poor. Dont waste your time.

Great for kids. Neat atmosphere for them -- very entertaining, nice special effects, good appetizers. Decent cocktails, but better fruit-based smoothies. Don't there expecting an knock-out "adult" night, but its cheery and lite, great fun for the family. No nudity or adult themes. The food is on the same level of Cheesecake Factory (or less). Kids love the menu and the parents should be happy just to see their kids happy, even if the night isn't an all out adult-fest! No gourmet feast, but it works all around!

When my family and I went to Vegas I had to babysit my niece and I can't think of a place where i could bring her. Then my sister told me that there is a Rainforest Cafe so we went there and she LOVED the place. She got a little bit nervous when the gorilla started moving but she realized after a while that it was just a show. And she doesn't wanna leave that place. The food is awesome too.

I was convinced by my friends to go here and didn't quite understand what they meant by a tropical rain storm every 15 minutes. When I first step foot in this place I was suprised by how great the atmosphere is. I was instantly sat at a table in the middle of a jungle setting, right next to the waterfall. Not only do you see monkeys, snakes, and parrots all over the place, but you hear the noises they make. And when the storm comes you can't miss it! The sky changes colors, you see and hear lightning and rain! But don't worry the rain doesn't actually fall on the guests. This is an exciting place to eat and the food was great too! Don't forget to order a tropical drink, they are too die for!
