I purchased a 7 ft Christmas tree from this Cheyene location on Dec. 1st, 2007. Two weeks later on Dec 14th I notice this tree inside my house is drying up and alot of the needles are starting to loose by just touching it. I checked the water and the tank is half full so it has plenty of water. I made sure to check everyday for water, and its fine. By Sunday the tree is pretty much DEAD!. The entire tree were stiff and the needles just fall off with a light touch of your fingers. Monday evening I decided to call Star Nursery and spoke with a manager and explain to him what happen and if he can do anything for me. I told him I have the receipt. He hesitated at first but said that he will replace it, but I have to bring back the original tree. I paused for a moment and said to him, "YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING, RIGHT ?" I have to drag this tree that is stiff and all its needles are about to fall off back to you?. His answer was Yes I have to bring it back. So much for trust. A business as large as Star Nursery need to see my DEAD tree and receipt of purchase to make sure that I was not lying. For one lousy tree. I've done mail ordered all the time for fresh wreaths and other fresh trees decoration and when it arrived damaged they send you new one but never did they asked for me to send back the damaged wreath or garland.I think Star Nursery is loosing their touch with its customer value. I am a woman and I am the only one that has to bring in the 7 ft. tree myself and set it up on my own. I consider myself a strong 40ish person, but when I brought home that tree on that Dec. 1st., my mail person happens to be there to help me bringing in my tree. Imagine if I was a much older woman, who just wanted a nice Christmas tree to enjoy, and have to go through all this trouble, through no fault of her own, because she got a bad tree.Star Nursery, I am disappointed at you. I have purchase and been going there for so many years since I lived here from 1990. You have disappointed me. Word of mouth is a very strong thing and I for one will never go back there.
