Trop Aquarium

Went there to get a couple rainbow fish. Beofre purchasing browsed around, and tanks and equipment were way over priced....and so were the rainbow fish. Brought the two fish home...one day later those two fish were showing signs of ICH and not only then a couple hours later ALLLLLL of my other fish had ich. I would not reccomend buying fish or an ything there. They could have had a bigger selection for fish instead of putting the same fish in like 20 different tanks around the store to make it look bigger. I still am going to Atlantis Tropical FIsh on 95 and Lakemead, just ask for "POPS" and he will always take care of you. He even will test his own water with you there showing you. Nicest people ever at Atlantis Tropical FIsh, best prices in town and have HUGE varities of FISH there! Good luck everyone!

I new Dan Riggs for about 15 years, Dan is the owner of Trop Aquarium. Dan is the guy that got me started in the fish hobby. I live in Pennsylvania now and Trop Aquarium is the best fish store probably in the country. Their staff is very knowledgeable.

i have been in this hobby for 10yrs now and never seen a fish store like this one. many of you that are new to the hobby might like this place because the staff there "seems" to know what they are talking about. and they do in most instances. only problem is that they are like sales people, they get you to buy unnecessary equipments and chemicals that you wouldn't need. while i was shopping there i hear their staff lying to customers, so i tested it out one time pretending i didn't know whats going on. as soon as i said i didn't know what to buy they started lying. i don't know if they are just money hungry or desperate of sales, but their feeder shrimps, live plants, and many other fish there are so over-priced.

The best informed staff -- really helped me alot in figuring out filtration system for a tall reef tank -- a difficult project. Thanks for all of the help -- reliable and informative.

The ownership of this store is the best around; helpful & educated staff & a great variety of fish. Especially helpful if you are new to the hobby & do not know what goes with what. 5 years later I am still a success with my fish thanks to their great start!

I HAVE BEEN GOING HERE FOR THE PAST 5 YEARS. THIS WAS THE ONLY PLACE THAT I WOULD GO FAR ANY TYPE OF FISH AND OR ANY EQUIPTMENT. THEY HAVE THE BEST PRICE ON TANKS. THEY CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM JIMMY AND THE OWNER. WILL ALWAYS GO THERE TO GET EQUIPTMENT. NOW LIVING IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, STILL MAKE MY WAY BACK OUT THERE JUST FOR TROP! EVERYONE IS VERY KNOWLEGABLE! GREATEST PLACE FOR ALL FISH EQUIPTMENT!!!

When I originally went in they sold me an aquarium for 1 dollar per gallon which was a good price. They told me I could have it set up for salt water for $150 more. When I came back with the cash it was a whole different story. they started totalling it and it was $250 and climbing. I cancelled the sale and bought the stuff I needed for less money at another store.

I love going to this store. It is such a relaxing place to shop. You can choose from several varieties of fish. They have mostly tropical fish, but you can get a goldfish here too. The prices on their fish are very reasonable. I have had one fish die, and it was 2 days after the deadline, they still assisted me, and gave me a knew one. I also love the array of fish tanks they have.You would be suprised. Small, and large, round huge and so much more. If they dont have it for you there. They will order it for you. I have been a faithful customer for over 3 years. If you are looking for a store to get an out of the ordinary fish. Then this is the fish store for you.
