Despite the ambiance (which is crowded, mismatched, and somewhat sketchy), their sushi is simply amazing. I went on a Monday (cardinal sin for sushi eating), yet the sushi/food was very fresh and flavorful. One can tell the pride that

This place is the ONLY place I would eat Sushi in Vegas. For the last 10 years, I tried to come by here for their all-you-can-eat-sushi every time I visit Vegas. They use to have polaroids of patrons lining both walls and I had quite a few up there :D. On weekends, you can get all you can eat with all you can drink (including alcohol)...quite a deal! I love this place and everything is fresh! My all time favorite: albacore & yellowtail sushi and the last samurai. YUM YUM! If you come often - ask them for the frequent diner card.

Five stars for Sushi on Rainbow... literally. Sushi on Rainbow is on the NE corner of Rainbow & Spring Mountain and their food here is superb! I believe it's $20 all-you-can-eat lunch & $25 all-you-can-eat-dinner. Their ingredients are always delicious and at the peak of freshness. There are very few places in Las Vegas where you can find affordable (and good) all-you-can-eat sushi. Sushi Roku at the Fashion Show has very Americanized sushi and The Original Osaka is "ok" but rather expensive. Even SushiSamba at the Palazzo/Venetian is too trendy for its own good. The authenticity and flavor just isn't there. Be sure to pick up a Buy 9 get 1 free (or something in that nature). Even more opportunity to get your money's worth and so much more.

Pros: Value, Menu Selection (uni is off menu-try it-it's delicious), Authenticity & Flavor, no fluff

Cons: Location (Rainbow & Sp. Mtn isn't the safest place at 9pm)

I like sushi on rainbow for their all you can eat lunch and dinner specials - its one of the only ways I can afford to eat sushi. As an added bonus, they have fresh fish and their staff is friendly and fun.
You will be surprised when you go inside because they are located in a strip mall where the majority of the businesses are either run-down or out of business.
Go visit them for lunch! They deserve our business - great food!

This small restaurant does not look like much from the outside, but it is well worth a visit. They do all-you-can-eat sushi and also have individual rolls. In addition, they have dinners for those who just want Japanese food-- like beef teriyaki, rice bowls, and tempura. I really enjoy their tiger rolls and california rolls, and my son loves the sticky rice and vegetable tempura. The staff is very friendly.

Yoshi is a sushi chef there and is very entertaining. Ask him about his magic tricks! The sushi is good, they do have the all you can eat. You have to try the New York Girl in Vegas roll, that is by far my favorite and seems to get good reviews all the way around.

Located off the Strip, Sushi on Rainbow's a pretty unassuming place located in (surprise) one of Vegas' many strip malls. The place was easy to find via car and not terribly busy. Two things set this all you can eat sushi place from places like Todai. One, they roll the sushi when you place the order (which makes them fresher). Two, they include their specialty rolls in their all-you-can-eat special. I don't know of any place that would include Caterpillar Rolls, Dragon Rolls, etc in their buffet. Essentially, 3 specialty rolls will get you your money's worth at this place. My date and I have been to quite a few sushi places and when we go all out, our bill typically ends up north of the $120 mark. A $50 bill for the two of us was quite the bargain, especially since the quality was comparable to places like Sushi Roku and Kaizen. The staff is friendly and efficient. The restaurant itself is clean and comfortable. Skip the more expensive places on the Strip and get your fill at Sushi on Rainbow.

Pros: Great Service, Great Sushi, Low Prices

Cons: None really

Friendly staff & customers along with great value and good quality sushi make this my favorite sushi place in vegas. I like the less trendy atmosphere... and don't miss the free all you can drink with your all you can eat sushi on Sundays and Mondays. Yoshi is a funny animated sushi chef. The rolls and ngiri are not dainty portions... I mean they slice the salmon thick baby. Yummy cajun albacore, and try the orion or tiger rolls which are my favorites

This place is da bomb. I will never go to another sushi place in this town. You can go a la carte if you wish, but if you decide to go AYCE, you just order whatever you want, and the chefs will prepare it for you, fresh. The best part of this place is that every single employee in this place is authentic Japanese, and so is their sushi. I've had some best Hamachi and Salmon that you could ask for during my AYCE trip here, for $20.95 for lunch, $23.95 for dinner. Quality is top notch, almost NOBU good, at fraction of the price. So, if you crave some excellent sushi and don't want to pay outragous mark-ups for hip, club atmosphere, this place has no competition in this town. Two thumbs way up (coming from a real Japanese person who actually knows sushi).

This is one of my favoirte places for sushi. The rolls are quite big and filling. This is the only place to get a tempura california roll. It's incredible! You have to try! Best place for value and consistantly good sushi.
