Just moved from Newport Beach, CA to Las Vegas and the first item on my list was to find a salon. A neighbor recommended Moxie and I'm simply thrilled with the results!

I have lived in Vegas for 12+ years and this is the first time I was VERY pleased when I walked out. Everyone loves the cut (done by Carlos) on me and the colorist (Susana) was so sweet and conciderate and did a great job! The color looks so natural and goes well with my skin tone.
Carlos even had to fix what was done by another stylist form another salon and it still turned out cute!
I finally found a place I can go and not woryy about what they are going to do to me!
I would say it is well worth the $$$.

Used CitySearch to help me decide where to get my hair cut while I was in town. Wanted someone new and a new look at my hair. Chose Moxie for the rating and the couple of reviews I read. Zena did a fab job cutting my hair -- going to have her do the cut again next time I'm in town too!

This was my first visit to Moxie and I was very pleased. The staff was friendly and appreciative of my business.

My appointment was right on time! My hair cut, root touch up, toner, and style was done very professionally and I walked out of there with gorgeous hair which I received compliments the next day at work.

I've already made my next appointment! They did a great job and the staff was amazing!

Everyone at Moxie is extremely nice and helpful. I have my hair done by Chris and he is great. He is always on-time and takes great care in listening to what you want and then makes suggestions accordingly. I've looked for a long time for a salon that is welcoming and professional and I have finally found it.

Moxie saved my hair. They are the only ones who were able to bring me back to the color I wanted and Impossible was not in their vocabulary. I am very grateful.

My old stylist colored my hair black and told me she wouldn't have issue in the future to change it if I didn't like it. When I went back to her 2 weeks later she told me that it would be impossible.

This was my first time at this salon and was definitely impressed when I walked in. The salon is very nice and the staff is friendly. My stylist sat me in the back and asked me what I was going for. I told him I wanted to go lighter & wanted a full head of highlites. It was the most boring hour I've ever had in a salon....my stylist said nothing while he was putting my highlites in...i mean nothing! I kept trying to create small talk, no luck. Anyhow, the highlites came out pretty nice, but definitely not enough! (especially for a full head). I really enjoyed the cut by Luba...very nice! I have long hair and she kept it that way but gave me a nice shape. l I was shocked at checkout, my bill was around $220! Thats not including a bottle of $40 prep spray. The menu says $95 for full highlites (a little more for my long hair) and $55 for a cut. So how did the bill get to $220??????????? I would like to go back, but not if it's going to cost that much! i would rather color my hair at home for $10. Anyhow, if you have a big wallet (not sure who does during these hard times), then it's worth going here.

After visiting so many salons in Las Vegas, I found Jazmin at Moxie Hair Studio's. I had the color & cut and let me say that Jazmin is kind and knows what she is doing. The color is fantastic and the cut is out of this world. This is the first time that anyone has gotten the BOB just right. She also provided the most amazing shampoo with a scalp massage. I look forward to many visits to Moxie Hair Studio's. Thanks again for the amazing look that you have givin me.

It was my first time to a Salon in Las Vegas. I found out about the MOXIE through this site, and it lived up to my expectations. I was greeted immediately the moment I walked in the door and offered a beverage. It seemed really busy, so that was great. Everyone was smiling, laughing, talking, and just having fun. I had a great vibe and didn't feel rushed at all. My stylist was Emmanual. I have to say he is the best! He listened to exactly everything I had to say about what I wanted. and styled my hair EXACTLY how I imagined it. He gave me a lot of advice on hair products, and recommended a SHU for my new look.. He took me from dull dark brown hair to blonde in a couple of hours without damaging my hair. The best part is the cut, I went from a bob to Pinks cut and can't stop touching my hair and looking at myself in the mirror. What surprised me the most was the price for my type of style and color. They aren't kiddng when they say affordable. My hair was not crunchy , it was silky and soft....it was perfect!! Funny thing is..... now I go back every three weeks and would go any where else. Overall, my experience was amazing. Very professional!! Thanks to all the staff!!

Wow i just found this web stie to post a review today. Unfortunately my disasterous cut and color took place a few months ago. I have never seen a cut as bad as mine. I arrived at the salon and was not greeted by a smiling face. When I finally was escorted back to have a quick consult on what I wanted done It was not brain surgery. I wanted my hair double processed ( the same way it was already) and cut in the exact same style. Alter about 2 and a half hours ( my hair is less than shoulder length) I realized my hair now had a red tint that I had never seen before and my already thin hair had been thinned by the stylist. I was very apprehensive when I met my stylist and her hair was about an inch long. It was the worst excuse for a cut and color I have ever experienced not to mention the ridiculous price.

I had to write this.
The minute you walk in, you are welcome with attention, smiles and soft drinks.
The decor and atmosphere are sophisticated, bright and spacious.
Every body's attitude make you feel comfortable.
I have to talk about Emmanuel. He did my color and I have to say that I was blown away with the result and the technique. He did high-lights ans low lights to give me an amazing two tone color.
He used a special tecknique with plastic instead of the usual foil method.
The result is fantastic. First it took a lot less time ans since I left the salon, every one asks me where I got my color. This is the best experience ever. I definitly recommend Moxie and especially EMMANUEL who really tried to understand what I wanted and guided me with humor thru this wonderful experience. I will be back

I have been going to MOXIE for about 2 years and never had a bad experience. I'm reading all this horrible things below and could only think that jealousy is driving other slow Salon to continuously bash on this One. If they were so bad I wouldn't be going there on a monthly basis and they wouldn't have been voted #1 in Las Vegas. Talk about PICKY...... That?s ME. I want things done a certain way and always done my way. Everyone from the Stylist, Colorist, Assistants and Manager, have made sure that I was happy and well taken care of. Stop bashing on a great Salon and maybe start taking care of your clients like they do and your client?s won?t leave you to go to MOXIE.

I had very long hair and had it cut short by Zena. I explained the style I wanted and she cut it like I wanted it. She cut it the perfect length to transition to short hair and styled it professionally. I have never had to wait more than a few minutes to see Zena. She is wonderful.

The place itself is very nice as were the people, so it was too bad I went there for a haircut & not just to hang out. Reviews on this site rave about Jeff, but I found that he lacked the finesse & skill you would expect from such talk. Since I'm new to the area & it was my 1st time there, I asked for something simple: the same basic cut I already had, just clean it up. I don't have difficult hair. I asked for the same layers on the sides & back, thin it out a little & taper the sideburns. Instead, I got something resembling "Simple Jack" from the movie "Tropic Thunder". It was so blunt & completely not like my original style. I'm accustomed to a great stylist in another city, and I'm used to my hair looking even better as it grows in with the subtle & expert cut. Now, it's only getting worse by the day.
Jeff said he trained many others; it's scary to think there's an army of stylists out there trained by him. I'm trying not to be too harsh, but I'd be doing a disservice to others by not putting out a strong warning. I can only hope that my hair grows out fast & then find a truly competent hair stylist.
As for the rest of the staff & services, I can't say. But, I'm never going to take another chance at Moxie.

Also a former employee, I agree with all of the comments about the inexperienced and un-professional management, receptionists stealing stylists tips from the cash drawer, no hot water because the gas bill was not paid, no assistants or training available, shady pay structure, and a cold, indifferent, 'everyone out for themselves' attitude amongst the staff. There are 2 so called Art Directors who just carry the title so they can charge over $100.00 for a haircut, but don't direct the staff at all, and the owner takes 60% of the stylists earnings but 1099's them as independent contractors so they have to do all of their taxes. The owner also never shows up for staff meetings, and thinks he can sweet talk the staff into believing that everything is o.k.. He is a foreigner who is here to take advantage of the loop holes in our labor laws and exploit innocent workers so him and his tacky girlfriend can go to nightclubs and act like they are celebrities.
What a joke, and what a shame such a nice looking salon has such horrible people running it. Fortunately, karma usually catches up with people who take advantage of others.

Zena has been my hair stylist for the past 5 years. I met Zena in South Beach, Florida when she was working in a salon along Lincoln Road .I was on a business trip when I needed a quick cut.

I was pleased with the results and when I called to make another visit a year later the salon told me she was working in my home town in the Soho area of New York City.

I truly believe that the universe allowed our paths to cross, and as result of that, not only is she a great hair stylist, but we have also become good friends over the years.

I get compliments all the time about my creative hairstyles and the healthy look of my hair.
That never happened before.

Zena is the best hair stylist but just wish she was back in NYC to give me my monthly cuts....now I have to plan on a visit whenever I'm in Vegas.

Whenever my colleagues are in town I tell them to head over to Moxies to catch Zena's hair magic.

This salon is the worst. Master stylists are SUPPOSED to listen to what you want and to what suits your lifestyle. Terrible. Zena (the "Master" Stylist) even went over to the other stylists & asked the OTHER STYLISTS what they would do to salvage her nightmare of a haircut. I wouldn't refer ANYONE here. It is the WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN.

I wandered in to your studio a couple months ago and had the good fortune to have Zena cut my hair. I?ve not had a regular stylist for a long time and was extremely pleased to get the best haircut I?ve had in years.
As a financial services advisor I require a trimmed professional appearance and Zena captures it perfectly. Who?d have thought, a woman with red hair can do this!

I was lucky to get an early morning appointment with Jeff. It's hard to find a good stylist so I was a little scared at first of what Jeff was going to do with my hair. My hair is very thick and difficult to cut but Jeff knew exactly what to do. I just gave him a idea of what I wanted and he did a Fantastic job! I guess all his years at Vidal Sassoon made his a master at what he does! If you need a haircut at a great price then see Jeff!

I'm a private person and one of the things that I dislike about going to a salon is sitting out in the public area with foils and color in my hair. I look like an alien. I loved this salon the first time I walked in. It has an open feel to it and most of all the separate color area. The colorist takes you to the back room and does the color there. I'm out of sit and comfortable for the first time. My stylist also stayed by me and kept checking the color and making sure that it was as I asked for. The price was VERY affordable and I will recommend Moxie to my friends and family.

I just moved to Las Vegas from New York City. My stylist at Vidal Sassoon in NYC recommended Jeff Dille, he told me that they had worked together at Sassoon's in San Francisco, and that Jeff had moved back to Vegas, his hometown. I scheduled a cut, and a consultation for color. Jeff requires a consultation before scheduling a color appointment, which I think is so professional. That way he had a chance to see my hair, suggest color options, and personally schedule the adequate amount of time. The color was perfect, and I didn't walk out with stripes like most colorists have given me in the past. Jeff great, I highly recommend him!!

For once I was able to walk out of a Salon with the exact color I requested. I moved to Vegas from San Diego and been looking for a place for the last two months and a friend recommended Moxie to me. I finally made an appointment and went in. From the first moment I walked in I was greeted by professional staff who offered Coffee and within 2 min. my stylist walked up and introduced herself. She was wonderful and pleasant. My color looks amazing and I'm have never been happier. I will for sure return and would recommend to family and friends.

Just recently I told my husband he really needed a haircut. He said he was tired of barber shop cheap haircuts that last 2 weeks and was going to try Moxie. A stylist named Jeffrey cut his hair, and he couldn't stop talking about how much he LOVES HIS HAIRCUT! I've never seen him so happy about a haircut. He said Jeffrey took so much time and is meticulous. He actually recommended him TO ME! It's usually the other way around. So i went in and it was true, he was on time for my appointment (a rarity in this town), was very thorough in his consultation with me, my shampoo was great, and he didn't chatter the whole time or talk about himself non-stop. Very serious and focused. My haircut looks great and is easy to style for once. Go see Jeffrey.

I had my hair cut at Moxie by recommendation from a friend who had hers cut by a stylist named Jeff. Her hair looked great, and she told me that Jeff had just moved to Vegas from San francisco where he had been an Art Director for Vidal Sassoon! I was thrilled because it is so hard to find well trained stylist in Las Vegas.
Jeff was very friendly, did a thorough consultation, and was meticulous with my cut. I have never had someone cut my hair so skillfully. I highly recommend him. I sent my husband to him and he got a great cut too! Affordable too.

I am so impressed with the service I received from Moxie. After having a baby and getting highlights during my pregnancy elsewhere, I wanted to go back to a single color. The salon I was going to used color that just kept washing out and within a week, my highlights were back. I saw Fausto at Moxie who found the perfect color for me and gave me a cut that is still manageable weeks later. My hair looks healthy again and the cut is awesome.

I loooove this salon! I have been looking all over for a great hair salon here in Las Vegas, and I finally found one! The woman at the front desk was very nice and helpful, and the salon is just beautiful! They offer the best hair products and have them on display very nicely. The stylist who colored my hair did a very good job--he gave me the exact color I desired, knew what I wanted, and was not pushy at all like I've experienced in the past. I've been searching for the perfect color for over a year now and the stylists that I've been to in the past have colored my hair and it came out nothing like what I had asked. FINALLY I have the color I've been wanting, it is SO BEAUTIFUL!! You can go online while they color your hair--that amazed me. Overall, the service was excellent. I'm so thrilled that I found a high-quality place for a great price! I'm not going to stray from this hair salon because none of them compare to Moxie. If you're looking for the perfect salon, go here and you won't be disappointed. I cannot wait to go back!!

While my first time experience with Moxie Hair Studios was a long 2 day process, the end result was excellent! While there were mistakes made by the front desk upon my arrival, they were quickly resolved satisfactory. The stylist who colored my hair was very nice. The stylist who cut my hair was nice, however it was difficult to understand her & in the end, my cut looked nothing like the haircut in the picture shown to me, of how this stylist wanted to cut my hair. We were the last ones to leave, it was late, I was tired! When I got home and could really look at my, I was very disappointed. The next day I went back in the morning and I could tell by the looks from the girls in front, that they thought my haircut was - a - bit - strange! The sides didn't match each other and the back was a cut that did not mesh with either side! The highlights I paid for were too few and hard to detect. (My stylist did say I could come back in a couple of days if I wanted more highlights and she would not charge me) So, because the haircut was such a mess, I went ahead & mentioned that as well, since I also noticed that my original color was still present on my underneath hair. I did not know what Moxie was going to do about all this - I thought, well maybe this is the style of what's hip and I was not in style or hip! I was very happy to find out that they were very professional and addressed everyone of my concerns with respect and in a timely manner!
One stylist - I believe his name is Fausto (?} recut, re-colored and re-highlighted the heck out of my hair! Needless to say, I am very satisfied and will return! I feel bad for the other 2 stylists, because they were very nice, but Fausto was nice as well, and did a fantastic job!
The only negative for me are their prices at Moxies. For me. Maybe not for you. So - try them! They sincerely want their customers to be 100% satisfied!

Really impressed. I have had a lot of hair nightmares in my time, but they really worked some magic on me this time. I love the natural look. The price is reasonable and the service exceeded my expectation. I rarely write reviews but a salon that is worth raving about is few to none and this one really is #1.

Finally found a colorist in Vegas who can get it right. Zhenia is awesome. Got the perfect shade of blonde I have been trying to get for years (even in San Francisco had no luck after many, many salons). Decent prices - although be sure to mention if you want a blow-out which tacks 35 bucks on to your bill. Also the salon itself is one of the nicest I have ever seen - very, very Vegas / Red Rock. :)

I had the best experience at Moxie! From making the appointment on the phone, being greeted warmly when I arrived ....the whole experience was wonderful. I am so thankful to have found Zhenia and Zena. Zhenia gave me the most amazing highlights- bright and sunny- exactly what I asked for. Zena did an amazing cut and blowout. This is my 5th salon try in 4 years, I've had a very hard time finding a good colorist especially. Now I will look no further! Thank you to the entire staff, you have a truly special group there.

I just left Moxie Hair Studio with the following expierence. The colorist Liz was great, very professional and knowledgeable. I was scheduled with Zhenia for a haircut, Liz informed me that she would be about 20 minutes late and gave me a complimentary conditoner on my hair. Well 20 minutes turned into 35 before someone came to tell me it would be an additional 10-15 minutes. I have a new baby at home and could wait no longer, I paid for my color and left with wet hair. I had to come home and WASH the conditioner out of my hair myself. I asked for a Manager and they told me she was in a meeting. Needless to say I will not be back and find this place comical.

When I initially called to make my appointment, I was expecting to not get in since I needed a next day appointment. Well to my surprise, I got one. I was greeted the second I walked in the door. They offered refreshments several times. You can get on the web while they color your hair. My hair looks great. I was completely satisfied with my visit. My only complaint is that I had an appointment and I had to wait like 10 minutes, but I can't complain since I didn't even expect to get an appointment that quick.

I was recently in Moxie, and wow! The staff was incredible..everyone was beautiful and friendly..the kind of people i like! i instantly knew they would make me look just as stunning. I recently had some cosmetic surgery..so i just needed that extra oomph. Being on bed rest for about 7 weeks ( i had 3 procedures done).. my hair was tangled and brittle feeling, my color was faded and my regrowth was 3 inches. as soon as i walked in.. i was greeted with a smile and a hot cappacino! i went back blonde, and knowing how unhealthy and neglected my hair had been, my girl put on 2 fabulous treatments! after.. i got cut by the artistic director and my hair has never looked better! with my new nose, belly, breasts, and hair... i am ready to shine! my hair has never felt this incredible or looked this healthy and shiny. i will never go anywhere else other than moxie!

I have lived in Las Vegas for the past three years and have had no luck ANYWHERE including Moxie a couple of years ago. I noticed a co-worker's blonde and asked who did her hair when she told me the two Russian girls at Moxie I was surprised. It wasn't until after seeing her color at work everyday and feeling brave I called. I was surprised again. My color looks the best it ever has and my hair feels the best it ever has. Finally a salon is Vegas worth the hipe! Thank you Luba and Zhenia, my husband thanks you too.

I had the pleasure of going to Moxie a few weeks ago for a drastic hair cut. From the moment I walked in the door til the time I left, I had an overall wonderful experience. The girl at the front desk could not have been any nicer. Although I was a bit scared to cut off 6 inches of my hair, my stylist gave me the confidence in him that I would leave looking fabulous....and I did. I love my new hair cut and I still am getting compliments. Thank you Moxie!! I will spread the word and tell all my friends and family about your talented team of professionals!

The adorable Yoav Tauber is a genius. The haircuts he has given me are amazing. He understands what my style is much better than I do. I have visited A LOT of high end salons in Vegas, New York, Europe, etc. I have a paid outrageous sums of money to stylists over the years. When it comes to cutting and styling hair, NO ONE comes close to Yoav Tauber. NO ONE. There is a HUGE difference between a so-called "high end" salon that has a bunch of snooty snots running it while charging outrageous prices, and a true high end salon that has talent. This is a fact and it is not up for debate. TALENT is CRITICAL!

Then I would like to say something about the staff in general. Unfortunately, I cannot name names because so many people helped me I cannot remember all of their names. From making my appointment on the telephone, to confirming my appointment, to welcoming me in the door, to showing me to the ladies' room, to offering me a beverage, etc., EVERYONE was so kind and warm - and in a genuine way. There is a very good vibe at Moxie - a good mood that permeates the air. This is rare in the salon world. Also, everyone I saw working in the salon was beautifully dressed, stylish, and had a very un-conceited confidence about themselves - very attractive.

I also found the salon itself to be very comfortable, hip, and extremely clean. The location of the salon is extremely convenient for me as well. Being just off the I-215 makes it a cinch without all the traffic. I love that! And the salon is not buried in a casino. Who?, I ask, Who has time for that? Just to get to a salon in a casino adds 45 minutes to an hour of parking and walking before one can even get started. No thanks!

To top it all off - AFTER my visit to Moxie, I get a thank you from management. How nice! AND a free Kerastase treatment!!!!! How can it get any better? It can't!

Moxie is a class act.

I just had my hair done with your celeberity stylists. What a joke. I can't do a thing with the few threds that i have left. I'm sorry but I'll have to get a wig untill this grows back in. I'm not a celebrity and can't just change my style like they do. Kelly Clarkson has left the building you know who you are who scalped me but I won't mention your name because you were having a bad day? I guess. This salon is uptight and very uncomfortable and not worth the hype. I guess I should have looked at city search first at least I'll be ready for Halloween. I just thought it looked like a great salon when checking out the area because my family were looking for a home. I guess I'll have to fly my stylist out from Detriot to do my hair. Maybe we'll stop by and she can show edward scirrors hand what to do. Have a great day

FYI: The two reviews dated 5-6-07 and 5-5-07 were entered by former stylist of MoxieHair Studios.
In hopes that these negative comments will not sway anyone from having a fabulous experience it is greatly enouraged that you come in and visit the salon and give yourself an opportunity to decide first hand for yourself if these comments are true. I made a oppoinment with moxie, i was referred by a friend. What a mistake...... Very rude, the place was so unorganized, What a joke..... I had an appointment and i had to wait 25 min and the stylist just rushed me ,did not listen to what i wanted, and i left very unhappy my color is horrible and this cut.????? i can now not style it . dont know what he did but its not what i tried to ask for . I will never go back and tell all my friends not to as well........Horrible service and way over rated!!!!!!!!

Former stylist of Jose Eber was patient, knowledgeable and simply wonderful. The salon is in a great location within Summerlin and very stylish, with computers to check emails. Great place. I highly recommend Moxie!

I was referred to Moxie by a friend to make an appointment with the creative director of the salon and was told she was one of the best. First off, I made an appointment for cut color and highlights. When I got there, I sat for over 20 minutes and finally she strolls over and quickly says "yeah, yeah, I know what you want" after I explained what I'm looking for. She gets started with foils and leaves me sitting, has the assistant finish the job and I waited for her an additional 20 minutes for my cut after my hair was washed free of dye. When my cut was over, I was unhappy with the color and cut. First off, the color looked like I was a beauty school student -- blond in the front bangs area and copper red all over. Very cheap and fake looking, not what I expected from a experienced stylist. The cut was thinned out so much that my hair looked like strings at the bottom and a rooster at the top. On top of that, I was I feel pressured into buying products which BTW are very expensive. Overall, the best does not always mean the best.

Pros: nice salon

Cons: sales pressure and price
