May 6, 2009. The auto repair staff in the actual shop area are all competent and polite. Alfredo and Chris take the time and exhibit patience without talking down to the customer. Apparently "DARLA" was experiencing a frustrating day in her attempt to process my credit card in her new computer program and system. She couldn't get it right, had to redo it three times and still did not print out the correct bill. I, a school teacher, tried to lighten up the tension in the office by telling a story about a video web sight our school librarian had forwarded to our classrooms regarding the difficulty of adjusting to new technology. "DARLA" launched into a loud and hateful diatribe about how she hates teachers, the CCSD, and the lousy job we do as teachers. She also stated her prejudice against our young students who come from Mexico. She further stated that she votes "NO" against the teachers and the CCSD every chance she gets. I want CAR DOCTOR to acknowledge that it is my salary that paid the bill IN FULL! I am sorry that my hard earned money went to the Decatur Car Doctor and pays for "DARLA'S" wages. I had no choice but to pay the bill. The vehicle is a 1990 Chevy Silverado Truck. I cannot afford even a newer used car. I must depend on repair jobs to be able to get to work. I will fight to the death for anyone in the world to hold opinions different from mine; BUT not to have those opinions shoved into my face when I was only trying to lighten up the tension in your office that was created by "DARLA'S" incompetency. Maybe she is a product of an incompetent school system, just like the one she so vehemently hates now. I would also like to mention that I was a captive audience because I needed to pay my bill in order to secure possession of my vehicle. I could not have left her nasty diatribe. I was stuck. I too can vote with my wallet. I will not return to your business and like the UNLV professor (dlugosza@nevada.edu) who posted a negative rating, I too will post a negative review to all of my teaching colleagues throughout the CCSD.net. I feel sorry for Alfredo and Chris to have to work under such a nasty person in your front office. They, and your customers, deserve more respect than that "WOMAN" is capable of delivering. She should, at the least, deliver the bill with a smile, even though she may not feel like smiling. After all, your company is paid hard earned money for the repair services rendered.

On the above date, Car Doctor sent a completely incompetent fellow from Louisiana to repair my car which wouldn't start. I have been a long-time customer of Car Doctor, and never had a problem. Long story short...I wound up with a "new" battery (which I didn't ask for or need)...and I was $413 poorer. When the car STILL wouldn't start the next day, I got a charge from Checkers (who told me my OWN battery was dead), and managed to get the car to Pep Boys on Tropicana. They analyzed the problem and determined it needed a new alternator. For this I paid $208 - BUT the car did run, and continues to run since then. I tried talking to the owner of Car Doctor, but was completely unsuccessful...I wanted to return the battery, but held onto it until I could see if Contact 10 could help me. They never did get back to me. I have been ripped off before, but this fellow over-charged me by at LEAST $200, and if I find the time, I will bring this matter to small claims court. In the meantime, I will NEVER call Car Doctor again...and I urge all the people I know on campus, here at UNLV (where I work) to NEVER use their service. Sincerely, Annette Dlugosz

Nice to have someone come to the house and fix your car, even if it is only a battery jump. Better than calling a tow truck. And for those who use State Farm, they apparently will pay for a one-hour visit rather than a tow.

PROS: Come to your house
CONS:
