5 Stars: Best Animal Hospital in town!!! (by Danny R.)

This is the Best Animal Hospital in town, and trust me I have been to many many animal hospitals here, the doctors are outstanding and the front office staff is Very kind, helpful and understanding! You dont need an appointment to get in to see a doctor it was told to me "any time the hospital is open a doctor is on duty", you dont have that at other animal hospitals here in town. I'm Very impressed and Very pleased with this VCA Spring Mountain A.H. and I will be coming here as long as the services stay the same as they are now, and I hope they always will, cause I dont want to switch again to another animal hospitals. I highly recommend this animal hospital to anyone who may read this, and to all of my family and friends. Thank You, Thank You VCA Spring Mountain Animal Hospital you're the GREATEST!!!

5 Stars: Wonderful, dedicated Vet! (by Christine S.)

I have been going to The Spring mountain Animal hospital since 2001. I now live about 1/2 hour away, but I still go to this hospital only to see Dr. Wallace. He is so caring and so through with all my dogs. If he does not have the answer, he will find it. He stays late, and comes in early. He is the most dedicated vet that I have ever seen. All vets are expensive, but when it comes to your animal do you really want sub-grade performance because of the price? I do not! I would not shop around for a cheap doctor for myself -- I would never do that for my dogs!! I will never go anywhere else. It is true, they have had some turnover at the front desk, but I have always encountered wonderful and helpful people there. I board my dogs, and it has been the same people working in the back for as long as I can remember. I trust the VCA and will be a client for life!

2 Stars: Mr. J P (by J P.)

The current front office staff at this hospital is the devil to deal with;
Their telephone manners and assistance in trying to speak with a veterinarian regarding your animals conditon are appalling self centered and lacking any concept of customer service or ability to deal with adversity.

The medical staff, Dr. Knighton and Wallace are some of the finest vets I have ever known and their work is the best.

I and a client of this hospital for over 5 years, within the last six months have spent almost $15,000 for major surgery and treatment of my geriatric animals; yet my last visit, with yet another front office staff has resulted in my being asked to take my animals elsewhere. As a result of front office turnover, poor staffing and training I am made to be some ogre and asked to stay away.

Be sure I'll do just that.

5 Stars: Nothing but good things to say. (by Emily S.)

We have a pug puppy and started taking her to VCA on Spring Mountain. I lucked up by finding a good vet on the first try! Everyone there was so friendly and you can tell they all really care about the animals. It's not just a job to them. Also, you don't need an appointment which is really good for me as well. Friendly people, great customer service, and they truly care for your pet. Couldn't ask for more! As long as we're living in Vegas, this will be where I take my precious Katey.

PROS: Don't need appointment.
CONS: None.

1 Stars: Horrible cut on my dog (by Mary M.)

My lab mix was sick with an ear infection and he also needed grooming so I took him to VCA Spring Mountain. The trip cost me over 500.00 dollars and they shaved my poor dog down to the skin and left him a huge bare spot on his tail. When I was getting him out of the car at home, I noticed that they had cut most of the way through his leash too. I will never take another one of my babies back there again.

4 Stars: Very Caring Staff (by Sandra G.)

I had a very old and very sick dog. They were the only animal hospital that would see my dog trouble. The when I got there my dog was very sick. They put her in a room right away and did everything they could to try and make her well. Unfourtantely she had a tumor on her kidney that couldn't be treated. They could see that I was very upset and that my dog was part of our family. They made sure I understood everyhing that was going on and tried to console me and help me through this whole ordeal. after about a week after I had to put my dog to sleep they sent me a card telling me how sorry they were for my loss. They could see trouble was a part of our family and they took the time to send a hand written card to me. I have a new dog now and I plan on keeping them as our vet.

5 Stars: Wonderful Veterinarian (by Karyn S.)

I recently adopted a dog from a local shelter. The dog was in pretty bad condition both visually and medically. I took the dog to Shannon Sura at VCA Spring Mountain Animal Hospital for evaluation. She was fabulous! She treated the dogs medical conditions and gave him his shots. She even helped shave the matted hair from my new cocker spaniel. A few days later she called to check on the dog's progress with prescribed medications. She sincerely cares about pets! I have recommeded her to everyone I know!

PROS: Dedicated veterinarian
CONS: None!

5 Stars: Great Animal Care (by Annette M.)

I have been with this Animal Hospital since moving to the Las Vegas area 13 years ago. The staff is very knowledgable and caring. The main vet that I use is Dr. John Wallace. However, during the last 13 years have seen almost every vet in this office. Unlike most Animal Hospitals you don't need to make an appointment you just walk in, which at times this can be more convenient than making an appointment.

2 Stars: Expensive (by ning w.)

This VCA animal hospital in spring mountain road is soooo expensive. They have lodging for pets but they don't have backyard for the pet to take a walk or run around. We put our pets over there, 2 dogs to be exact, for less than a week, maybe around 5 days, and it costs us arms and legs. We were flat broke after paying the hundreds of dollars bill. There is also one employee that I don't know how she can get a job over there. We asked her the phone number of a specific animal kennel. She said she has the phone number in her computer, it took her about 15 minutes to look for the number. Finally we asked her to look at yellow pages, she said no, she said she was sure she has the number in her system. After looking around and didn't find the number finally she got the yellow pages, and still she can't find it there. Finally her friend told her how to find the number. My goodness!
