The buffet is self serve even your own drink to the drinking fountain. Kokopelli Sushi all you can eat sushi one hour is really good. It is $19.99 for lunch. I think it is so so good.

Ratings_icons Fun Place for Family to Stay

Robin S. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 6,648

If your a family that loves fun things to do and watch, this is the place for you to stay. If your on your honeymoon you may want to look somewhere else, and come visit the Circus Circus for a fun night. Could be a bit noisy!

Ratings_icons It's good for the kiddies, I suppose

Jonathan Y. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 7,474

It's good for kids mostly because their casino has a huge arcade area with a load of carnival games with which to take away the money you've worked so hard to gamble with. Other than that, it's not real exciting. Rooms are alright too, but there are better gambling (and themed, errgh) options in the area.

When I was 19 and under 21. My friends decided we will go to Reno and yeah, we were there almost every weekend. We usually stay at Circus Circus because we will get carded if we go to the casino. I love to win their stuff animals tho. The place is clean and they have friendly staffs.

Circus Circus is a great hotel. The shows they have there, the "circus," is great fun and cool to watch. The rooms in the hotel are horrid (or the room I stayed in at this hotel was), so while the hotel is good to visit, don't actually stay here. The staff here are pretty nice I guess.

Ratings_icons Not bad

Kitty W. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,496

Circus Circus is definitely a great place for kids. The rooms are hideous and kind of uncomfortable and pretty dirty, but the shows them put on every hour or so are very entertaining for the kids. They also have carnival-type games where you can win stuffed animals and stuff. Its a good place if you actually dont stay here.

I know that when we drive up to Reno, this is the first place that we're going! They have a large amount of games, a theater, face painting and best of all circus acts every 30 minutes or so!

Ratings_icons Funnest place in Reno

Aaron K. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 9,423

It's nice to find a little refuge from all of the cigarette smoke and slot machines all around you. The carnival area is a really great place to take the kids and the young a heart. It's one of the things that I look forward to most whenever I'm in Reno. The hotel is a great place to stay with the family. Ask about specials.

Ratings_icons Circus is in town, or at least in Reno

Elaine Z. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 3,290

Circus Circus Hotel is a circus year round. I was just actually here during Labor Day weekend. The thing that sets it apart from the other two big Hotels is that it has the arcade for kids. There are SOOOO many kids there cuz parents have nothing to do with their kids while they are in the casinos. And there are machines right next to the arcade so you can play and watch your kid at the same time. The circus stage is right in the middle of that too and every half hour they have a show. The shows are stuff you see in a circus; balancing acts, unicycling, flying trapeze and shows with dogs. I did notice a difference in the machines from the other hotels, a couple were different and I found a couple that I really liked. Like there was one penny machine (slots) but you could play 15 lines at once.

Ratings_icons Its alright

Sandy H. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 478

Its not the best Hotel in the World. I did like the casino downstairs beacuse its fun for all the kids. And it does connect to the other 2 casiinos. But the room at this hotel are dirty and dingy. They are small and smoke filled. I was really afarid to touch anything. So if you are going to Reno, definitely visit thiscasino area, but don't stay here. It may be cheap, but its just not worth the grossness.

Ratings_icons It was an okay place to stay

Justin B. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,140

This was an okay hotel to stay in. It was really smoking, even in the non-smoking rooms. The rates were pretty good. There's not a lot of options of hotels in reno. When we go back we may stay here again. It wasn't horrible, it just wasn't anything great. We did find a great restaurant we liked here, but when we went back 5 months later it had already changed to something else!

Ratings_icons Great family place

J. P. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,127

I liked staying at Circus Circus because the room was very nice and there was a lot for the family to do. The staff was very accomodating. The only thing I didn't like was the location. Downtown Reno has become a dumpy place to be. Very dirty.

Ratings_icons I love it!

Randy N. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 3,418

Circus Circus is loads of fun (especially for kids), but don't actually stay at the hotel if you're going to Reno. I haven't actually stayed there, but I heard the rooms were bad. The interior of the hotel, however, is beautiful! The "circus show" they put on every hour or so are amazing! Definitely spend a few hours there if you are ever in Reno. I also like that Circus Circus is connecte to some other hotels (one of which I stayed at myself).

Ratings_icons I bad a blast here!

Sarah F. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 4,409

What a fun hotel! Our room was wonderfull. In the corner, so we had a window and a decent view of the area. We signed up for their players card and ended up with 4 free dish sets by the time we left! (only there 3 days!) the drinks were free and tasty. Restaurant was wonderfull and had some great food! We even had a blast in the arcade area and won lots of little prizes to take home to our kids!

Ratings_icons not all the bells and whistles

Erica H. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 4,404

Although it may be beautiful to look at, it's not all it's cracked up to be. The bedrooms are fairly small. They contain queen sized beds with metal springs that'll hurt your back after a two night stay. You have to walk through the casino to get to the arcade and circus area. The casino didn't seem too energetic, and it was full of heavy cigarette smoke most of the time. The dining is expensive, and definitely not worth the amount they charge. If you're looking for a place to crash, and this is your only option, then go for it.

Ratings_icons Bad And Good

I like the fact that Circus Circus to Silver Legacy to El Dorado Hotels all connected. Many choices of things to do. A lot of things to do choices of three casinos resturants, and bars and you don't even have to go outside. But buffet is self serve for your own drinks, drinking fountain. But all you can eat sushi lunch one hour for $19.99 at Kokepelli is the bomb.

Pros: Example: best croissants in town

Cons: What are the drawbacks?

Ratings_icons A great stay

hooter1

I have stayed at Circus Circus at least 6 times in the past couple years and am absolutely delighted every time with the immaculate accommodations and value. I recommend the Sky (rear) tower as the rates there are lower than the main hotel tower and you can park in a covered garage right at the base of the hotel lobby without having to walk through the noisy, smoky casino. The hotel is always immaculate, staff friendly and helpful, and you can check in as early as 8 AM.

Pros: workout room, free covered parking, terrific value

Cons: no pool, no coffee in room

Ratings_icons Great Deals

Join the One Club and register online for special offers. Best deals in town. Quiet, comfortable rooms, with great views. Art Gekko's bar and Kokopelli's restaurant are excellent. I like the second floor connection to Silver Legacy and the El Dorado. Circus Circus has no pool, but for a fee you can use the pool at silver legacy.

Pros: Circus Acts, Good food, Friendly staff

Cons: No pool

Ratings_icons Cheap, cheap, cheap

If you know what you're getting, Circus Circus is great. It'll be packed with kids and plenty noisy. The rates here -- especially on weekdays -- are ridiculously low.

Pros: Bargain rates

Cons: Loud, loud, loud
