Ratings_icons Quiltique is huge, neat and clean!

Such a great shop - very neat and clean. Loads of fabrics, so give yourself plenty of time to look thru everything. I would suggest visiting this shop when in Vegas!

Ratings_icons Quiltique is the best shop I've seen in years.

The best shop I've seen in years! One of the owners was kind of rude but the rest of the staff was very friendly and helpful. They all seem to have a lot of experience and the samples are wonderful. There was a man running around with a little hand vacuum. That was strange. I wish I lived closer as the classes going on looked like a lot of fun. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Las Vegas.

Ratings_icons Quiltique's is Awesome

Fran .

This store is a visual overload and very friendly staff. The fabric selection is very hip and fresh, I only wish we had a store like this in San Diego. I am really tired of the "country look" it is time for us to move on and Quiltique's has definitely done that. The class selection is something to behold, I am driving many miles to attend. Just not to kind to my darling hubby, hard to restrain $$$$$ !

Ratings_icons Quiltique is great

Quiltique is the best Quilt shop around. Sometimes I just go in there to see all the beautiful quilts and colors. I have started buying all my fabric and thread from them as the quality is far better than anywhere else I have shopped. I also bought my machine there and have never regretted it. The staff was so helpful in helping me decide. Next on my wish list, a new sewing table!

Ratings_icons Quiltique is wonderful.

I have shopped regularly and taken many classes at Quiltique for years. I drive 200 miles round trip just to shop and take classes there. They bring in top recognized instructors, IE, Ilene Roche, Libby Lehman, etc. Their fabric is fabulous and modern. Their staff is always helpful in person or on the phone. I have recommended several friends to this store and they love it. The prices are like any other good quality quilt store. I have shopped at quilt stores in multiple states and the prices are comparable. I was surprised when someone in this post complained about the staff not being helpful and rude and then turned around and was mad because the staff was helping a customer pick out fabric and had the fabric strewn in the isle. How can it be both ways?

Ratings_icons LOVE THIS STORE

corrinne k.

I was forced to retire and was very bored. Saw Quiltique which is near my home and stopped in to see what it was. Well I fell in love. This place makes you feel good the minute you walk in. I decided to take a class for beginners to refresh my knowledge of quilting that I had not done in many years. The class was free and very good. I am now on to bigger and better things. The staff has always been more then helpful. You may have to wait as they can be very busy at times. I am not good at picking out the colors so always need help. The staff will work with you until you are happy with your choice of fabrics. It is a little expensive compared to Jo Ann Fabrics but the quality is worth it. I would recommend this store to anyone.

Ratings_icons I LOVE QUILTIQUE

SANDRA M.

I go to Las Vegas quite often. When I do, I head for the Quilt Shops. The first time I walked into Quiltique I was so amazed. I stood in the middle of the store looking at all the beautiful colors of material. I was so exited, I have never been in a Quilt Shop with so many happy colors. (if anyone is looking for dusty brown plaid-they won't find it here)
The ladies who work there are very helpful, and I go home with a lot of good quilt ideas. I LOVE QUILTIQUE Sandra Marciniak, Buffalo, New York

Ratings_icons Beautiful Store & Helpful Staff!!

Lisa C.

I was in quiltique a a month ago and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I was surprised at the negative reviews. Maybe the unfriendly rude staff was replaced or maybe she just wasn't working on the day that I went in. I asked a lot of questions about quilting and everyone of them was answered in a wonderful friendly manner.

I recently called and the salesperson on the phone was just a helpful as when I was in the store. The store is beautiful and they have a wonderful selection of fabrics.

I would definitely recommend this store.

Ratings_icons From a "local's" standpoint...

Gorgeous, large store. The newest fabric lines and all the old favorites - wonderful selection. Easy access from a major highway. POOR customer service. For you ladies from out of town, this is NOT typical of all Las Vegas quilt stores...there ARE much friendlier places to shop while in Vegas.

Ratings_icons SHAME ON THIS QUILT STORE

Anonymous

I have never been made so uncomfortable as this quilt store has made me. Rude, unfriendly staff, and list prices do not make this a place to shop. No reason to visit this one, there are others in the area that are much friendlier and better prices. I would not recommend this store to visitors, They cater to the few that they like, and if they don't know you, you become a perfect shopper for them to take advantage of. Beware of this beautiful looking store.

Ratings_icons Definately worth the trip -

I felt compelled to write on this one. I usually just read the reviews on this website but I had to stand up for this shop! After reading the other reviews on Quiltique, I felt I should tell you all that I love this store and they have never been "almost rude" as one reviewer wrote.

I have been to this shop 3 times on various trips to Las Vegas. I went out of my way to get there the first time and will continue to make the trip to Henderson to do so. Being an avid quilter and embroiderer, I always visit quilts shops in my travels, so I have been to LOTS. This shop is truly one of the best, brightest and above all friendliest. I truly cannot believe some of the negative comments on this shop. My experience has always been positive and I usually leave with a very full bag of goodies.

This shop specializes in bright, contemporary fabrics and quilts and always have inspiring projects made up to get me jazzed about sewing. They have an extensive class schedule although I have not been in town long enough to take one. I would definitely recommend this store to anyone who loves to sew, quilt or do machine embroidery. Just my 2 cents -

Ratings_icons Beautiful store...nightmare customer service

Dee L.

While the store itself, and the merchandise, are fresh, new and beautiful, I was VERY dissappointed in the lack of good customer service and how cold the staff in this store was. Will not be back to this one...will stick with the little, more personable shops next time.

Ratings_icons Miss this one...

Betty J.

I recently had the chance to visit Las Vegas with my husband, for a work convention...while he worked, I had the chance to take a quilt tour with some of the other wives. The store that stood out most on that visit was called Nancy's Quilt Shop. BEAUTIFUL store and they were actually in the Better Homes and Gardens Shop Hop magazine for 2007, so I was very excited to go there and see it for myself. It was everything the article said it was...and helpful, knowledgeable staff! Beautifully displayed fabrics and a really wonderful discount room.

The store that would run a close second for me was called The Christmas Goose. It was different in that it had a more "country" feel to it, though they did have all the newest fabric lines and brights. They also sold wonderful gift items and had the most incredible pattern area I have ever seen...sliding doors with pattern after pattern! This store had the friendliest, most helpful staff, too - they very obviously LOVE what they do!

The store that I know I will NEVER go back to was on the other side of the town, called THE QUILTIQUE. While it was a very lovely store at first glance - a riot of color and new fabrics - the sales staff there were VERY unfriendly, almost rude. I was never spoken to in the entire time I was in their store and several of the women I was with commented on the same thing when we left.

Fabric bolts were strewn over the floor of an entire aisle, as one of their employees was trying to help someone choose fabric. I could not venture down that aisle to look at fabrics, so missed that whole section. Bolt upon bolt of fabric was stacked on the floor behind their cutting area also, so customers did not have access to any of those, either.

At one point, an employer snapped horribly at an employee running the cash register, embarrassing her in front of paying customers (I was told by the employee later, that the woman was an owner). From the "upscale" look and feel of this store, and from the way the employees treat each other and their customers, it was apparent that this store is in it solely for the money.

I actually did NOT make a purchase there. I tried to purchase a fabric, but was told they only had it available for a packaged kit they were selling and could not sell me any. With as many quilt stores as Las Vegas seems to have in town, there is no excuse for rudeness, and my money will definitely go to the other stores next time. I do not intend to go back or recommend it to friends that may visit. Thank you. B. Joyce, St. Charles, MO

Ratings_icons Don't Miss This Quilt Shop!!

Jeanne T.

While on a business trip with my husband I had a chance to visit several shops in the Las Vegas area. This is the Best one by far of all the shops in the area. If you like a bright cheery atmosphere and beautiful quilting fabrics dont miss this place. The staff is VERY helpful and pleasant even gave us directions to all the other quilt shops in town. They have endless array of fabric of all styles and all the notions you will ever need. I purchased 2 quilt kits, 3 books, some embellishment items and a Bernina foot. They sell Bernina machines, as I am a Bernina fan, and had items that I had never seen. Even if you arent into quilting this shop has something for everyone. I have to say I totally disagree with the review that said the staff is unfriendly and not helpful as I had the opposite experience.

PROS: Beautiful store, lots of quilts to see, great selection
CONS: Hard to reach without a personal vehicle but you can take a cab

Ratings_icons Wonderful quilting store

This is a wonderful store for all your quilting needs. They have the material, the classes to teach quilting and even sell sewing machines and supplies. My grandmothers did quilting and I wanted to learn how to also. I did not take classes at this store, I learned at a comunity center. When I took classes I didn't know this store existed. After quilting for awhile you learn where all the best stores with the supplies you need are, and this is certainly one that all quilters should check out.

Ratings_icons Quilt Store NOT!

Donna W. | insider Insider | Rank: 23,515

I have been a quilter for almost 15 years and of course fabric is my currency. I am a coordinator for a quilt program for a local hospice so I look for a lot of fabric. I also submit my credentials to local businesses to ask for their help in supporting the hospice program to ensure that every dying child gets a quilt.

I have been into this store on a number of occasions. I have never been assisted in my search for a particular color, pattern, or type of fabric. The sales personnel act as though assisting a customer would be beneath them.

I took a class from them once. Classes were advertised as being free of charge with stipulation that class materials be purchased from their store. A $20 REFUNDABLE deposit was required to reserve my space in the class. Since I have quite a large stash of fabric (as do most devout quilters), I found it only necessary to purchase a couple of 1/4 yard pieces to prepare for the class. The sales personnel took great pains to inform me that they found this unsatisfactory. They were also very put out that I asked for my $20 back when the class was completed. They wanted to hold it as "credit" on my next class. Since I found the class not very informative, I insisted on taking my money with me.

This store is not run by quilters and therefore the personnel are not informed enough to assist quilters. I would not recommend this store to anyone who might need some assistance with the selections.

PROS:
CONS: Expensive, not helpful, unfriendly personnel.
