Dr. Forte has done a Major staff overhaul
by Amy S.
Dr. Forte has made a MAJOR overhaul to her staff and the wait is now very minimal. I encourage you to give Dr. Forte and her staff a try, I have been going to her since she opened her practice.

Forte Family Practice is AN ABSOLUTE JOKE
by Brenda A.
Do NOT go to the doctor unless you are looking to wait for 2 1/2 hours just so the lazy receptionists (if you can even call them that) sit around, go on lunch break and don't inform the doctors that you are there. This place is an absolute joke and personally, their license should be taken away for bad business practices. Until EVERY SINGLE RECEPTIONIST is fired from this place and re-staffed, it would be in your best interest to stay as far away from this place as you can. It's very unfortunate, because I hear the doctors are very good, ( I went on a referral), but I never even saw the doctor because the staff is so rude, incompetent and horrible. A five year old would look like a genius compared to these idiots that watch the front desk. Do not waste your time!!!!

Forte Family Practice is PLEASUREABLE
by PAUL M.
What a blessing Dr. Forte is in my life. She has been my doctor for the last 6 years. I have seen employees come and go like any business but i had the honor of meeting her new office manager Angela. She's compassionate and personable and more importantly truly seems sincere. Kudos to Dr. Forte for bringing her to the office. What an asset. I am looking forward to watching the office continue to grow and continue to bond with Angela and her staff!!

Cathaline Pearson is Awesome!
by Anna Z.
Reading the previous reviews I must admit there is much truth to them. "To say the office staff is incompetent is an understatement. They lack professionalism by any definition of the word. They are terribly unorganized, rude, unsympathetic, lazy, and generally unintelligent." That sums it up pretty good. But we have to also weight the pros and cons of seeing a provider who we have a good relationship with and trust. I have been seeing Cathaline who is a PA, I feel she treats me like a friend and she is genuine. She is always available to see me on short notice (when you can get a message to her), but I learned to walk in while she is working if I need something. I will always be grateful to her for diagnosing my thyroid problem when I thought I was going out of my mind.

Unethical Practices
by Gwen M.
I was overcharged and under served at Forte Family Practice. I can't believe that they are still in business.
They misdiagnosed me after I waited four hours to be seen. Horrendous.

The office lied to my insurance
by Michael S.
I went in to get a prescription refill and was charged the normal fee of $150.00. They billed my insurance for $350.00 for a bunch of bogus items on the report. Dishonesty will eventually hurt us patients. Find a new physician!

DR. C
by Katie E.
DR. C is a wonderful doc, he listens to everything and takes everything to consideration ( 25yrs old/ F)
I was very sick and in the hospital for 2 months, then after seeing him and getting on the rght medication i'm up and moving and feel back to normal. He's very smart and and looks out for you. He takes the time out for all your questions. Thanks Rob C.
The staff may be hard to deal with and you may have to wait but it's worth it. It's not easy to find a such a great doc in Las Vegas.
Thanks again Dr.
Katie

I love Forte Family Practice
by Samantha N.
I love Forte Family Practice. Dr. Forte is so kind and knows what she is doing. Her P.A.s and other doctors are great too. I would recommend Forte Family Practice to anyone who needs a doctor!

Dr Chiascione is wonderful, office staff SUCKS!
by Anonymous
Dr. Chiascione works out of Forte Family Practice, and he is a brilliant and caring physician. I never feel rushed during the appointments; he takes his time to explain everything. He listens to all my questions and gives understandable, thoughtful, accurate answers. I give him an A+ for service.
The office staff; however, make Forte Family Practice unbearable. The previous reviewers aren't exaggerating when they describe the staff as INEPT and LAZY. First of all, the nurse won't answer her extension, it always goes through to a voice-mail - which states she'll return your call within 72 hours. Hahahahahahaha! She has never ONCE returned my phone calls for blood test results. I've always had to go down to Quest myself or schedule a new appointment just to get the results. It's ridiculous to fork out another copay just to have the doctor say, "Your labs are normal."
The office also refuses to respond to ANY requests faxed from pharmacies, that includes refill requests. My pharmacy faxed their office 3 times with a substitution request for a generic equivalent (required by my insurance) and got NO response back. It wasn't even a refill request, I just needed doctor approval on a generic substitute of a similar medication! I ended up being without a medication for four days because of the office "misplacing" the faxes.
I hate having to call the office at all because the staff act like you're inconveniencing them. God forbid if you have a question and want to do more than just schedule an appointment. When you do call (repeatedly) and finally get through to a person (by pressing the wrong numbers and just getting to the operator) they are so rude and short with you. I can't understand why these people still have jobs!?
Going to the office is even less pleasant. Sometimes you're left standing there at the desk waiting patiently while the office staff gossips to each other about their personal lives, and then they turn and look at you like you're interrupting their conversation! Oh my God, do they understand they are supposed to be working?
The staff needs some serious re-training or the doctors should hire people who actually care about their career and the patients they serve. It really is a shame because Dr. C is such a nice man and has really helped me, but you've got the crappy staff to contend with. Note to staff: If you are disorganized, have a nasty attitude, poor people skills, and a rude demeanor, don't work in a doctor's office!

Wont go there
by T. N.
I will say, Dr. Forte was very good to my father before he passed away. Even when he passed away, she personally called to see if my mother needed anything.
With that being said, since Dr. Nardell has left there, I will never go back to that office. Like everyone else said in here, the front office staff is horrible. They're rude, uncaring, and seem to hate thier jobs.
Even with appointments, your wait is long. If you don't have an appointment, an ER at it's busiest time will get you in faster, and treat you better.
The one and only time I've seen someone other than Dr. Nardell there, they tried to misdiagnose me with a condition I have, even though my chart clearly stated all throughout that I had this condition.
If you need a doctor, you're better off opening the phone book and picking one while blindfolded rather than going to Forte Family practice.

Very Bad Service
by Nicole M.
I'm glad to see others share my view of this appallingly bad office. The front desk staff is awful, the wait times even with an appointment are unacceptable and the doctors are rushed and as a result, not thorough or good. I would avoid going here at all costs.

Bad Service
by Scott F.
I have to agree with most reviews here. The staff isn't interested in helping you. You have to wait 2 or 3 hours for the doctor to see you and the billing system makes no sense. The doctors are too busy to do a good job.
I couldn't in good faith recommend this place.

Horrendously Unprofessional; Inept
by wzwriting w.
I can't believe that Forte Family Practice is allowed to practice. The staff are stupid and/or lazy and there is no other explanation for their appallingly inept service. If you have an appointment, rejoice, you'll finally get several hours of time to yourself to write that novel if you don't mind the uncomfortable chairs. After I waited 6 hours to see the doctor or oestopath, whatever DO is, she said she didn't know what my condition was, but then later I found out, she only ran one lab test. I had to go myself to the lab to pick up the results. She had given me medication to treat what she guessed it was, but when it turned out not to be that, no one from the office called to tell me. And it wouldn't have mattered because they only took one test. When I called to tell them I was still suffering, they said I had to make another appointment and come in. Like they say "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." So rather than waste another day of my life in a sea of incompentcy, I made an appointment with an MD from a more efficiently run office. It is truly unfortunate that people so lacking in professional character and ability are allowed to practice medicine.

Best Doctor and Staff in Las Vegas, and most anywhere else
by Cathy E.
I have been a patient with Forte Family Practice for approximately 14 years. I had several physicians prior to finding Dr. Forte and her excellent team. Dr. Forte has always looked out for my best interest. She has an excellent staff and her office team is very good. There are times when an appointment time is missed and usually it is because of a patient emergency or during a specific time when health issues are very high, like cold and flu season. Sometimes waits are to be expected. Even in those stressful times, Dr Forte and her staff always make sure that when you are seen, you are their primary focus. If you don't want to hear the truth, then possibly her practice is not for you. But if you want the best care and a group of Dr's that want to care for you, then Dr Forte's is the place to be!

Flu Shots Not Available
by Judith B.
I have been with Dr. Forte Family Practice for a few years now. The fact that you can be a walk in or go in on the weekends is a great plus. The other doctors or nurses available are very good.
I had just made an appointment two weeks ago for a flu shot and was to have my appointment on 10/15. I got a call yesterday that they had run out. I do wish that they had put mine aside where I did have an appointment. This is an inconvienince for me now because I have been staying back east to help my aging parents and have to leave on the 16th. I was told they ran out and would have more on the 18th...now I miss this. I don't like just going anywhere for my shots. We have been told that this year there is plenty of flu vaccine so this is disappointing.Other than this one problem it is a great place to get your care...lots of concern and they stay on top of all treatments.

Forte Family Practice
by Anonymous
My family and I have been going to this office for 4 years since moving to Las Vegas. We have seen various Doctors and PAs most of whom are no longer there. The doctors have always been great... a special acknowledgment for Dr. Ng and Dr. Cathaline who have both been wonderful! The nurses there are also great and friendly.
However, the office staff is awful. And the wait, at times, can be an hour even when you have an appointment. I was at the office 2 hours for one appointment to get a prescription refill. The staff is uncaring and incompetent, and act like they hate their jobs. Please Dr. Forte.... restaff your front office at Cheyenne!

Horrible office staff at Dr. Forte's office. Dr. Nardell moved
by Casey L.
I am one of Dana Forte D.O.'s first patients. Her office staff , which started off great, has become increasingly incompetent and rude. Receptionists keep you on hold and treat you like an inconvenience. Lab tests- didn't receive calls back after. Had to make appointments for results. Couldn't get prescription refills - in fact the pharmacy assistant joked about *that* office- I had to physically go in for refills many times. I can go on and on with stories of how BAD the office is. One week a couple years ago Dr. Forte's schedule was full so I took an appt. with Dr. Nardell. He is a skilled MD. Knowledgeable, kind, careful, listens well, answers questions and shows up when you need him. Recently I could not get ahold of Dr. Nardell post surgery (which he assisted). He didn't get messages I left. Had to call after hours when the phones were "on service". He helped me right away once he KNEW I needed help. Not his fault. It was that office staff ... again. Dr. Nardell did something about it. I will not be back to Forte Family Practice. DR. NARDELL is at: Mountain View Medical Offices- Suite 370 (Tenaya and Cheyanne) Phone- 558-2111

Totally disorganized & no help
by D M.
Our family had been going to Forte Family Practice for awhile, but they could never seem to do anything for any of our ailments, it was always.... "We can't help you with that, you have to see someone else" I understand sometimes you need to see a specialist, but it seems like this office can't seem to treat anything. Then they lost our records and another family members for several months. We haven't been back.
PROS: none
CONS: no help & disorganized

They actually TALK to you about how you feel

Recently we moved to NV from another state and my 83 year old father needed a doctor right away. The closest place (we thought) practically gave him a pad of paperwork to fill out and told him to come back the next day. On our way home, we saw Forte Family Practice and I thought I would try that before taking him to the hospital. They saw him right away. They also set him for a check-up the next day. They said if he didn't feel better to come back the day after that. When we didn't return the third day (because they had taken such good care of him, he didn't need to go back), they called us just to make sure that he was okay and that his condition had improved. Dr. Forte is now the doctor for the entire family and it's as if we had never switched doctors -- quite a statement after having the same doctors for 25 years.
PROS: Wonderful bedside manner and they actually hear you.
CONS: Not enough doctors like Dr. Forte around
