good school to attend first before going to a university. It's cheaper and they offer lots of courses.
I just thought some of the staff there are not fair to other students. When a student is really in need of help, I just felt like the staff I had to contact to help me, just flatly refuse to help me. thanks

The Community College is a good place to get your education and they are certainly cheaper than UNLV.They have good choices in classes and the teachers that I have had in my classes have all been wonderful. If money is a factor choose Community College. There is plenty of parking for everyone.

This is a great college to get general requirements taken care of at a much lower cost. It has an excellent schedule that offers several night classes. There are also many classes that cater to hobbies or just personal interest. This is a great place to start school until you know just what you want to do to keep the cost down, and it is also a great place to continue education or continue a learning experience.

I came to this college after deciding that another college out of state was not for me. This college was acceptable, there were one or two teachers over the three year span I spent there that were really great. I especially liked the online classes, they were super convientent and flexible, although they actually required more work. I spent all my time at the West Charleston campus, there are many other campuses. The parking is not great, I hear it is getting worse with new buildings going up. The computers are rarely available, which is frustrating. The library at the west charleston campus is rediculously small and has very few books, but there is a full service clark county library conveniently located next to campus. Given a choice, I wouldn't go back, but it was okay.

PROS: online classes
CONS: small library, few available computers

This college is pretty big for the size of a college. Parking is free. This college offers many classes for the entire year. You can take it for credit or audit. The fees are absolutely cheaper than UNLV, however the fees are increasing every now and then...

I currently attend CCSN's cheyenne and w. charleston campus. The Charleston campus is a nice size campus offering tons of good college courses. It is way smaller than UNLV being that it is a Communtiy College. I feel these smaller colleges give you more opportunity for 1 on 1 time with the professors. The design of the Charleston campus is extremely nice and colorful. I love ccsn!

PROS: All
CONS: Ways to travel

I've taken several business classes here in computer training. I feel it's better than going to UNLV because the university teaches ancient computer stuff and the community college is more up to date with current business techniques and practices. Anything from the internet to computer programming, they teach some interesting classes. The only slight draw back is that for the most part they give you a book and expect you to do all the work instead of sitting in class teaching you from step one. They are there mostly to give you homework and answer any questions you might have. It's not like they take a lot of time explaining things. But it's still fun to attend classes there and of course there's always lots of girls to meet. Plus, it looks good on your resume.
