No complants here
by Valeri R.
I've have been to different shops all over Las Vegas, and end up coming back to Break Masters. I don't get my breaks done here, but I get all my flushes, A/C, check engine, and my power windows.
They always get it right the first time and the prices are reasonable. They take the time to explain and even show you the problem. I haven't had a trust issue yet.
The only gripe I have is with the wait. I had an oil change that lasted half the day. I find if you can get your car in before 9am, you will see it again that day. I would recommend them. They get the work done.

Horrible long wait time
by Laura G.
I took my car in for an oil change and tune up. Got there at 1:45pm and did not leave until 5:30 and they didn't even do the tune up. Two and a half of those hours the car was just sitting in the parking lot. They are way understaffed and I will take my vehicle somewhere else for the next oil change. Don't go here they are just too busy... And they don't take appointments so don't bother to try to save time by calling ahead.

I'll be a repeat customer!

I have to wonder if the other reviewers really went to the Brake Masters I went to, because this was the best place I've ever been! I got excellent service (they were really friendly), and they took care of my car better than I expected. In fact, I had been told at another shop that I needed to buy all new everything for my brakes, but at Brake Masters I wasn't told that at all. The manager even took me out to the car and showed me what was going on. I trusted him and I left there very happy with the service I got. I'll be back for sure!

HORRIBLE SERVICE - I WOULD GO SOMEWHERE ELSE
by Karen M.
Don't use this establishment! I would choose someone else. They are horrible and didn't guarantee their work. I brought my car in for an alignment and when I noticed that the steering wheel was crocked I brought it back to have them fix it and they told me they would but I would have to pay again. They said they wouldn't guarantee the work because they saw a scuff mark on the tire and I probably drove over a curb and caused the car to be out of alignment. I only drove the car once since I brought it in for the alignment and that was to work and back on the highway where there are no curbs and it was approx. 30 miles if that. I just want my money back, I cant trust them working on my car. I'm sure it will be a fight to get my money back!

I went to get my brakes fixed here just needed the pads done and I was told I needed to get all this other stuff done. The bill was way more then just pads I felt like they were trying to take advantage of me because I was a women. I have heard from other friends after this that the same thing happend to them. I would suggest going to a mechanic that you use always that you can trust or bringing in the hubby to talk shop with them. I didn't like that they made me feel like I was unsafe in my car if I didn't shell out all this money.
PROS: specialize in breaks
CONS: to many add ons, take advantage of the woman consumer

I had my car inspected at Nissan when I had my major service. They advised that I needed new brake pads. I thought I it would probably be more expensive at the dealership, so I shopped around. I went to Brake Masters and they gave me a quote of $450. They said I needed all kinds of stuff for my breaks. I figured if I had to spend that much on my brakes, I might as well get it done at the dealership, which I trust more. I had to pay Brake Masters $45 for the quote, since I didn't get the brakes fixed there. I went to the dealership later that week and paid half of what Brake Masters wanted to charge. I'm not a big car buff, so I don't really know the terminology, but aside from the brake pads, the dealership was able to smooth out the metal parts instead of having me buy new ones.

I have been happy with the service I've received at this location. I went in with squealing brakes, and they diagnosed and fixed the problem with a minimum of hassle. The service manager appeared trustworthy. He took alot of time to explain and show me what they had found, and what it would take to fix it. Just as a precaution I had him talk to a male friend first, to make sure I wasn't being taken. Once brake work is done here, there is a lifetime guarantee on brake pads (not labor). I feel very comfortable taking my car here for brake issues.
PROS:
CONS: The wait is long - bring a good book or have other transportation!
