Why Brake Masters?

At Brake Masters, brake repair is our specialty. Our technicians are ASE certified and trained to recommend only those repairs you really need. Let's face it; the auto repair industry has a bad reputation. At Brake Masters, we believe it's because most companies pay their employees based on the parts and services they sell you. This can lead to unnecessary repairs and expenses. At Brake Masters, we do business differently. At Brake Masters quality and honesty are our specialties

No Hard-Sell, No Rip-Offs:

Unlike other auto repair companies, Brake Masters employees are not paid based on the parts and services they recommend to you. There is no high pressure to get you to buy services your vehicle may not need. No scams. No rip-offs. Just expert advice from people you can trust

Last month I needed my drive belt replaced, and I was a little worried about whether or not I could tell them what I needed accurately because I don't know much about cars. The mechanic was understanding and my repair went smoothly. Spent more than I wanted to but was still cheaper than the dealer.

The customer service was excellent and that's something a lot of other shops in Las Vegas should have but don't. They have rotated my tires, replaced my power steering fluid and changed the oil each time without any problems or unfair pricing. Not sure if they are the cheapest but they are quick and convenient.

I have had bad experiences with auto repair shops ranging from quick jobs like changing air filters to complicated engine repairs but these guys didn't give any trouble. I told them the problem with my car not wanting to turn over. Told me that I need a tune up and new plugs and wires. Gave them my keys, and when I came back there were no extra costs.

Went to Brake Masters to have them service the brakes on my 98 Chevy Tahoe. The brakes feel so much better than before. They changed the brake pads and turned my rotors for the same prices as everywhere else Ive been. I was in and out with no complaints.

I've have been to different shops all over Las Vegas, and end up coming back to Break Masters. I don't get my breaks done here, but I get all my flushes, A/C, check engine, and my power windows.
They always get it right the first time and the prices are reasonable. They take the time to explain and even show you the problem. I haven't had a trust issue yet.
The only gripe I have is with the wait. I had an oil change that lasted half the day. I find if you can get your car in before 9am, you will see it again that day. I would recommend them. They get the work done.

I have to wonder if the other reviewers really went to the Brake Masters I went to, because this was the best place I've ever been! I got excellent service (they were really friendly), and they took care of my car better than I expected. In fact, I had been told at another shop that I needed to buy all new everything for my brakes, but at Brake Masters I wasn't told that at all. The manager even took me out to the car and showed me what was going on. I trusted him and I left there very happy with the service I got. I'll be back for sure!

Don't use this establishment! I would choose someone else. They are horrible and didn't guarantee their work. I brought my car in for an alignment and when I noticed that the steering wheel was crocked I brought it back to have them fix it and they told me they would but I would have to pay again. They said they wouldn't guarantee the work because they saw a scuff mark on the tire and I probably drove over a curb and caused the car to be out of alignment. I only drove the car once since I brought it in for the alignment and that was to work and back on the highway where there are no curbs and it was approx. 30 miles if that. I just want my money back, I cant trust them working on my car. I'm sure it will be a fight to get my money back!

I went to get my brakes fixed here just needed the pads done and I was told I needed to get all this other stuff done. The bill was way more then just pads I felt like they were trying to take advantage of me because I was a women. I have heard from other friends after this that the same thing happend to them. I would suggest going to a mechanic that you use always that you can trust or bringing in the hubby to talk shop with them. I didn't like that they made me feel like I was unsafe in my car if I didn't shell out all this money.

PROS: specialize in breaks
CONS: to many add ons, take advantage of the woman consumer

I had my car inspected at Nissan when I had my major service. They advised that I needed new brake pads. I thought I it would probably be more expensive at the dealership, so I shopped around. I went to Brake Masters and they gave me a quote of $450. They said I needed all kinds of stuff for my breaks. I figured if I had to spend that much on my brakes, I might as well get it done at the dealership, which I trust more. I had to pay Brake Masters $45 for the quote, since I didn't get the brakes fixed there. I went to the dealership later that week and paid half of what Brake Masters wanted to charge. I'm not a big car buff, so I don't really know the terminology, but aside from the brake pads, the dealership was able to smooth out the metal parts instead of having me buy new ones.

I have been happy with the service I've received at this location. I went in with squealing brakes, and they diagnosed and fixed the problem with a minimum of hassle. The service manager appeared trustworthy. He took alot of time to explain and show me what they had found, and what it would take to fix it. Just as a precaution I had him talk to a male friend first, to make sure I wasn't being taken. Once brake work is done here, there is a lifetime guarantee on brake pads (not labor). I feel very comfortable taking my car here for brake issues.

PROS:
CONS: The wait is long - bring a good book or have other transportation!
