look into them at the commission, LOADS of complaints, and yes, they do try to take a good chunk of your pay. They often just post on craigslist, one of them was saying the pay was 14/hr, which for a designer that's a JOKE. you can't make a living on 14/hr as a designer and then they want 65% of monthly income as a fee. HUH? HOW? we're taxed 20-30% already, so that would leave us with only 5 to 15% of your pay?

you gotta be NUTS to do this. a job placement company is supposed to make it's money from the people offering the job(the hiree!!), not the people WORKING.

I have read the reviews from Lee C.,Craig B,Debra W.,Linda S., May god bless you all. I have been a team member and work at active again for a year before I started my own employment agency. They are license and regulated by The Labor Commissioner in the state of Nevada. We are not allowed to smoke in that office. So that is one lie. Mr. Duke Adams ,the owner is very strict when it comes to who we deal with.We are not allowed to charge anyone if they are not actually hired. And all the counselors where instructed to explain the contract. And to Lee C. I think you are way out of line. That never happen because if it did really happen,You could always report the incident to the labor commissioner for sexual harassment. But you did not.And you could have notified the employment agency about the incident. Like the old saying, there is always two sides of a story.And yours is fully imaginative and unfounded. Why don't you just write a book where you could make money out of your polluted mind .I am sure that some idiot might buy it.

The most horrific experience I have ever been through.... I am new in town, so I thought I would give it a try. The place was a dump. They wanted 65% of first months pay. I went with it. They gave me a receptionist job at some massage parlor. I went to the job and just told myself to go through the motions. I get there my boss was a nice lady. I thought this could work for the time being, no big deal. We were both Asian and got along very well. I am sitting at the front desk the first day for about three hours, no customers had been in and I was wondering how the place made money. Some fat man comes from the back and start talking to me, trying to flirt. He tells me with his strong Asian accent that he wants some yum yum. I think okay I can get out of this place for 30min to get him something to eat. I follow him back to his office to get his order and money. He shuts the door and walks over by the desk pulls down his pants, lifts his fat gut and says come here and give me some yum yum. I am in shock... in awe... I am frozen.. I run out to the front desk gathering my purse and stuff. I here my boss and the man yelling. I here the man saying I thought she was a new live in... the women calling him a stupid s#4%... I left and never looked back. A month goes by, Active again calls and is wondering where the 65% of my first paycheck. I could not beleive, they had the nerve!Lee

I called this agency due to an ad i had seen in the Jobs Today section of the newspaper. I was MORTIFIED first of all by the appearance of the people in the office. Chain smoking, and quite dirty. ( Not to mention in the bottom of an apartment complex)- After filling out a extensive application, which included questions that are absolutely illegal to ask (and which i have never been asked by a job for direct hire, such as who my spouses name was, who they worked for, and who would take care of my children, oh, and height, weight, and a host of others, but then to read that they will take from you 65% of oyur FIRST months GROSS wages, and if you accept a job, they require you pay them upfront $200- VERY unprofessional, and when i asked them to shred my application, i walked out, only to see them staple it and put it in a drawer. Unprofessional, and NOT worth your time!

CONS: You should never have to pay for a job!!!!

I was shocked to see the two bad reviews this agency has recieved on this site. Yes, they do charge for finding you a job. It's a lot better than hunting and pecking on your own when most of the ads for a "secretary" in Las Vegas turn out to be something dealing with porn on your own. I was placed in a great job just a few years ago by this company. Not only was it paying what I needed, but it was also near my home. The friend I made there still one of my very best friends, and my boss there is still a pal of mine. Here's a review for all the hundreds of people who this agency did right. Just like anything else, check it out on your own before you take someone else's word, especially someone angry. P.S. Work with a lady named Lisa if you can. She's awesome! 702-737-1003

I used active again when i first moved here.They placed me in a job working for a slum lord.They didn't check out the job before they placed anyone on the job.They charged me alot of money to place me at the job.But told me that I would make a certain amount of money and then it changed after i signed the contract but i was never told.After i got to working and found out what it was like i called active again and asked them to place me at something else and they ignored me.I wouldn't recommend going here unless you want to through away your hard earned dollars.

CONS: they make your pay alot of money to get a job you can get yourself

This is the worst kind of employment agency that there is. I went to them when I first arrived in town. I was flabergasted at what I was charged for a $7.00 per hour job. They take like 40% of your incom for the first three months. They offer the same jobs anyone else does, but they milk you good for it. They advertise alot higher wages than you will actually get. They are not a useful job tool. You can find so many different employment agencies throughout town. You should never have to pay for employment. Especially in Las Vegas. You can find daily pay jobs here, and there are so many options available to you. Look around before stopping in here.
