I love my 3-year old, 3,500 sq ft Beazer home but since last Christmas, some serious construction issues started to surface, including plumbing. Toilet had failed in 2nd level bathroom, and water slowly leaked into sub flooring area, eventually penetrating through first floor ceiling. After multiple inspections by licensed plumber as well as my insurance adjuster, it was deemed to be a faulty installation. Installer did not address the thickness of bathroom tiles, could have doubled up on the wax ring but did not. Due to the leak, there's been standing water beneath the flooring, damaged cabinetry, and caused molding in the house. Multiple emails to customer relations for 2 months were never responded to with the exception of automated email replies, even when I included a cell phone number. As I sent out my last email threatening legal action, an area customer service manager reached out the very next day, stating they've responded to every concern by door hanger AND phone calls, yet there was not a single missed call or message left on my end. The very manager insisted Beazer will not take responsibility, for the simple reason that there is no way to prove previous/first owner of house did not damage plumbing, even though the independent plumber verified there was no sign of removal since the initial construction/installation. As of right now, I am filing a complaint with the Nevada State Contractors Board and awaiting response. My neighbor who owns a similar Beazer home also had their master shower glass assembly fall out completely middle of night, leaving shattered glass all over area. Months of negotiation with the builder yielded to no results. Beazer customer service carried same shoddy attitude, showing no concern over the matter, and refused to fix problem. However, the very moment my neighbor filed complaint with the State Contractors Board, Beazer initiated contact and took care of the problem by replacing all that was broken.

We bought our home in 2002. We have never had any problems with service. We send an email and they call with 2 days to schedule the service. We had issues that were more than 2 year old (the warranty period) but they still came out to fix it. I think they have learned the hard way about using some contractors, but they have always come to fix any problems we had, big or small. They have a lot of upgrades that come standard with the home and they offer a competitive price. There are always problems with a new home, but Beazer makes fixing those problems go as smoothly as possible. I love being able to submit my warranty requests online 24-7, instead of calling.

I purchased a home from Beazer homes in November of 2003. It was the third home I had purchased in Las Vegas, my seventh home overall. I have been very pleased with the quality of the home. I did not do any upgrading with the builder, as I could get better pricing doing it on my own, but the standard quality of the home is acceptable. The sales agents were very helpful and friendly. The service team that comes to fix any problems is GREAT! The home has a two year warranty, and yesterday I submitted online a request for service. They called within two hours and set up an appointment for the next day to schedule repairs. Beazer Homes has been the best large-scale builder that I have had the pleasure to do business with in Las Vegas. When I shop for a home, I look at many contractors and locations. Beazer Homes have consistently been homes I have been interested in for architecture and location. Prices for the quality of home are wonderful as well.

PROS: Great customer service and quality of home
CONS: None!
