RENTERS BEWARE
$+$+$+$+$+ Camden Palisades +$+$+$+$+$
Camden Palisades has been Monopolizing cable TV at the mandatory rate of $45.00 per month extra for several years, as part of the rental contract. Therefore; Unlawfully, Restraining the renters' Right to choose and take advantage of the competitive rates offered by cable TV - Century Link and Satellite providers; DIRECTV and Dish at the rate of $19.99 per month including 145 channels. The new Monopoly scheme is the Internet access WiFi for additional $47.00 per month, Century Link offers the same access for $19.95 and Dish at $14.95 for high speed internet, even Camden's collaborator COX offers high speed internet 50mbps with WiFi for multiple devices access directly to consumers for $19.99 per month with free equipment and installation and extras.
The so called Technology Package is a SCAM to extort more money from the renters and Suppress Competition, that is a violation of the ANTITRUST Laws. The Scam also puts the tenants at the Risk of Eviction for not paying the fees as part of the rent, not simply discontinue the service if it is directly through a provider.
At the renewal of the Lease, the residents will be subject to Unreasonable Rent Increase, in addition to the monthly charges for: (Water, Sewer, Trash and Management Fee! $34.00 - $70.00) and (Technology Package Fee $92.00) and Renters' Liability Coverage. Even though; comparable apartments within the community are offered at a much lower rate to lure innocent newcomers into the TRAP.
Taking advantage of the residents' reluctance to move again and pay a new deposit which Camden defines as Decoration or Administration $500.00 NON-Refundable Deposit, in addition to charging a cleaning fee $85.00 plus other invented fees upon moving out, yet another SCAM.
(In all other apartment complexes it is a Refundable cleaning / security Deposit)
Lack of Security, Mismanagement and Dishonesty are the trademark of Camden Palisades' Deceptive Business Practices and the corporate culture of Camden Living ,
Avoid falling into the TRAP and suffer the consequences, rent somewhere else with a Decent Management.

Older apartments in a bad area of town. Grounds are beautiful (in phase 2), but you'll pay for that in your water bill. Lots of dog poop on the ground and many dogs running around off leash. Don't let your kids play in the grass, it's nasty. Entrance/Exit gates are never closed Monday - Friday and in this area they should be closed all the time. No lights in phase 1 making it dangerous and unsafe at night. They are now allowing security gates (about time, this should have happened 5 yrs ago) but they are charging residents $150 for them, and they leave the door when they move out. Management has promised lights over there for a year now. Amy has no management skills and has her staff totally dependent on her. Precious is a joke, I have NO idea how she got in the position shes in except that Camden has low standards. Josh is ineffectual and most of the information he gives is just plain wrong. Staff changes often, 7 management changes in 9 years. Leasing staff never leaves the office so if there are problems in the complex they never know. They say they have night patrol but this is tricky as it's one guy for a few different complexes. Ghetto neighbors and because the office doesn't care much you never know who will actually live in the apartments. The mentally ill tweeker they moved in above me wasn't even on the lease. And once I notified the office of this they still let her go 2 months without a background check. So you never know who your neighbors are. After all the ''fees'' you end up paying $900-$1,000 for an old apartment in a bad part of town. Everytime a lease renewal comes up you will be raised $$, until you are paying way more than new people moving in. Just say no. (If you're still on the fence go over there and view the lovely tagged trailer right outside the property with F THE COPS tagged all over it. It's been there for 3 weeks now)

I have been living here for few of months now. This apartment is nice and gated. You can see many greens here. They do have swimming pool and jacuzzi. The parking is covered. It's a good place to live in.
