Renaissance Ceramic Pools

We choose this pool company because of all the ads we saw on them brag about how much faster they are than the concrete pool installers. However my neighbor hired another contractor to install his pool (with more features) and mine was just a basic drop in shell they said the had in stock and my pool was finished in 9 months. My neighbor was swimming in 3. We started our contract early too, and we were promised it would be done by summer but it wasn't. They had excuses every time we called to complain. Their customer service is rude and never calls back or answers the phones. My pool also needsto be run the same amount of time as a concrete and uses the same amount of chemicals with the heat in the summer here. It was NOT a better value and I could have had a nicer pool in a fast contruction time.

Customer Service: They don't let you know when they would be coming out or what they would be doing. Once pool shell in ground with water they do not maintain water quality. Our pool was a breeding ground for mosquitos, bugs and algae. When we told them about the state of the pool it took them several days before they came out to clean it. This is all before the pool is up and running.

PROS: Ceramic pools are great!
CONS: Absence of Customer Service ie. letting customer know what's happening.

I think they have just gotten too busy in Las Vegas and have not added the staff to compensate. They never followed up with me at any point. When people didn't show up for weeks and weeks, I would have to call and try to find out what the delay was. It did not take the 8-10 weeks like they said. Although I was not in a rush since I started in the winter, I was very disappointed in the service. Also, the price you pay is just for the pool, pump, and 3 feet of decking. Everything...and I mean EVERYTHING else is a separate contract with the subcontractor they use. Ceramic pools are expensive and it's what I wanted, but there were really only 2 choices in Las Vegas. The other company had a bad product and lawsuits, so I knew better than to use them, but then you're left with no one else but Renaissance. Yes, they were always nice and friendly, but it takes forever to get issues resolved.
