Beads Shack

I don't know what store Nrjee Jee E went in to but it could NOT have been The Bead Shack! All the employees were wonderful, friendly & very helpful. I was in town visiting while my husband was at a convention & I went to the store every day Monday thru Friday from 10am until 6pm learning new patterns & techniques. This store & the new friends I made are like family to me now & I hope I can get back there some time soon!

I would absolutely never purchase anything from this store again!! I went into the store not knowing anything about beading but willing to learn (not to mention willing pay for my materials). The girls there were very reluctant and unwilling to help. Free Classes - I think they could care less about helping you learn
(Well, as long it does not consume too much of their time). Plenty of stores in town... and I am sure someone would be willing to help me take on this hobby. You may feel "qualified" to teach how to bead....Lets learn how to have some respect for customers!

I'm in Vegas a couple of times a year to do trade shows. I found this store by chance and you won't be disappointed! The people are very knowledgeable and what I was most impressed are the completed pieces of jewelry.I've been very fortunate to take classes on my trips and have always come away with a piece of art.If you have the opportunity to stop in you won't regret it.

I was not into beading when I first went to this store. My sister-in-law was visiting from out of town and wanted to go.
She is a major beader. The beads are beautiful and she had brought a very nice beaded necklace for me when she came.
I asked her if I could make something like this, or do I need to learn the craft. She showed me the beads to buy and when we went home she taught me how to assemble them. It is very nice and I wear it all the time, who would have known I would learn such a wonderful hobby while she was here. I continue to go to Beads Plus to buy my beads.

This store is located in the Von's Shopping Mall on the corners of West Sahara and Decatur. What first drew me into the store was the unique window displays. Once I got inside I saw what the store is all about. They sell beads. Thousands of beads!! Beads in every color that you can imagine. Beads in every shape and design that you can imagine. They have fancy, crystal beads to make jewerly with. They have American Indian beads to make dream catchers with. They have beads to sew on clothing. They even hold classes to demonstrate how to use the beads, how to decorate with beads, how to make jewerly with beads. In addition to selling beads they also sell strings and other clever devices to string the beads on. They sell devices to clip beads on with. They sell the adhevsives to attach to beads. The prices are based on the weight of the beads. For instance if you buy a pound of mixed color beads it is so much a pound. They also have a small notions section with sewing supplies. They also sell small pouches to sew the beads onto. This is an interesting store for all of the "do-it-yourself" people who love to design.
They sell gift boxes of beads complete with all of the necessary items to make your own designs with. The staff are so helpful. It is family owned and operated. Parking is great as it is in a shopping center.

PROS: Fun, unique store if you are looking for anything to do with beads!!
