If you are going to do a British Pub, then at least do it right! Attention to detail very poor, especially with food and service. Been going to sister pub on E. Trop. for years, and used to be excellent, but food quality and service declined over time. Was happy to see this one open on West side of town, and excited to take Brit friends there. First, the waitress although new, and very sweet, was poorly trained. She didn't know what a Shandy was!! Didn't know who the Queen was, and thought the picture they had was the Queen of England, when in fact it was the Queen's Mother! What? The food took ages although there were hardly any people in the pub, the baked beans were cold, and served in a small dish, (very unBritish), and no brown sauce on any of the tables. We explained that Brits like HP or Daddies brown sauce with our " Full Monty" breakfast bangers (sausages) The water was the "foulest" I've ever tasted, and could have come from the toilet! Yuk! They did not have proper creamer for the coffee, or sea salt, and the custard was lumpy, instead of smooth & creamy. So many demerits, and lack of basic quality. Food should always be fresh, the correct temperature, and taste good. Get a British cook, and waitress,or train the ones you have properly. The place itself, had the required atmosphere, but I hate to think how the cook manages on a Sunday, when they serve traditional British Sunday Roast. Not a great experience, and would have to think hard before bringing other Brit friends here. Saving grace, were the Chicken & leek, & Steak & Kidney pies, but everything else rated a zero. I understand that the owner is British, if so, then that makes it doubly disgraceful

The fish & chips were good but the portions were really small. Your best bet is to go on Monday evening when they have their "all you can eat" deal. "McMillian's Pub" next to The Orleans on Tropicana blows them away when you're talking about the very best fish & chips. Their deal is on Thursday evening and you won't regret trying them out.

They have an awesome selection of on tap beers. Some I hadn't seen anywhere else. There is ALWAYS football (or for us Americans, soccer) on big screen TV's. The schedule of upcoming games is posted for all to see. The pool table can be frustrating if there is a crowd.

The beer selection here is fantastic! Also, this is one of the best places to watch soccer in town. The food is pretty good, try their chicken fingers or their homemade "crisps". Very delish!!

We love this place! The fish and chips are awesome and the service is really good here. It's a very authentic Irish Pub even down to the wait staff. Prices are are very reasonable, but it sometimes gets a little crowded, so your best bet is to go a little earlier than the standard rush hours. I've also heard that they sometimes offer live entertainment, which is also a plus.

Fish ans chips, steak and kindey pie, whatever pub food youa re craving the Crown and Anchor has it. Every time we go was start our meal with a scotch egg off the British starters menu. My husband assures me that it taste authentic to the vbest of his memory. For meals, we have had fish and chips, steak and kidney pie, steak and mushroom pie, banger on a bun, cornish pastie, ploughman's lunch, and the roast chicken. All of the items tasted out of this world. The only disappointment was the apple crumble for dessert. The fruit was canned which cause the crumble to taste like metal.

Be sure to check the game schedule, some of the more popular games have a cover charge of $10 - $20.

PROS: Great specials. Live premiership games.
CONS: Desserts were not so great.
