I have a memory of both I and my wife, for some reason, bypassing Litl Scholar at first and looking in to a few other Daycaresmaybe we joked about the name or something, I cant quite remember, but for some reason we dotted around to other Daycares in the area before giving it a visit. These other centers (though Ive no doubt they are fine places) just did not give us the instant feeling of home, of comfort, that we were after for our children. But that is just the feeling we found, almost the moment we were through the front door, when we finally did tour Litl Scholars campus. It was a very particular feeling we wanted off of a place, as we were new to the state and it was not just our intense, quirky, and sensitive two-year-old we were placing, but our two month old, as well. We needed a place we were not just comfortable with but that would feel like a true extension of homea place that felt that way not just for us, but that we could see evidence felt that way for the children. Our two month old is now three and our three year old now five (and moved on to his first big kids school) and in the three years Lit Scholar has been a part of our life, we and the kids have come to think of it as not only like home but a part of what we truly consider Home, a place we are glad is the first association with school for our children, a place I am personally glad they have in their formative memory of the world. There is such a feeling of nurturing, of personal, intense connection from the staff to the kids I find it quite difficult to explainI mean, our two guys are handfuls enough and (it has to be admitted) just dealing with them, alone, sometimes gets a bit much, so how they are able to feel so individually loved, the center of the world, how they are made to feel welcomed and loved by every member of the staff when these folks have to deal with dozens of other kids at the same time is quite beyond me. Litl Scholar was a gift and the feeling that it was the place for our family has done nothing but grow over the years.

Lit'l Scholar Academy is amazing! My daughter has only been there for 3 months (Toddler Program), but I have seen her develop quite a bit in the short amount of time. Within 2 weeks she was essentially potty trained, and now she is singing her ABCs and talking about colors. I can tell she is truly learning when she goes each day.

My son is currently attending Lit'l Scholar Academy Summerlin for Pre-school and he absolutely loves it! Mrs. David is an amazing teacher! He has made so many friends and is always excited to go to school. I cannot believe how much he has learned this year. Mrs. David has prepared him for Kindergarten and I am so grateful for that. The entire staff and teachers are so sweet! They know all the kids by names as well as their younger/older siblings names. My 2 year old will definitely attend the preschool program when she is of age.

My son has attended Litl Scholar Academy Summerlin for 2 years now (Pre-school and Pre-K) and it has been great. He has grown and matured so much these past 2 years. He has made some wonderful friends and is so excited about learning. He is very prepared for Kindergarten next year thanks to their curriculum. The teachers and staff have become family and we are going to miss them very much.

My four year old son has been attending Litl Scholar Academy since he was around 6 months old. We really have fallen in love with the school. The staff is terrific! All the teachers work really hard, keep their spaces very clean, and are very communicative with parents. We appreciate all they have done for our son and will continue to bring him to Litl Scholar before and after school. Its really nice because someone from the staff walks the older children back and forth to the elementary school for the parents that work odd hours. This is really convenient and helpful to parents. This facility is more like a school and less like a daycare in my opinionand Im a teacher myself. I would highly recommend Litl Scholar to anyone with children. If there is any constructive criticism I would give it would be that I wish they had parent conferences. Parents are curious how their children interact and learn at this age. With my son being an only child I do not get to see his behavior with other children. If they sent home reports occasionally I could better assess his learning and social patterns. That would have been helpful instead of having to ask his teacher if she felt he was ready for Kindergarten. But overall I feel this school really has exceeded my expectations!

My daughter has been there for around 8 months time and she loves to "go to school". Shes always happy to be dropped off and comes home with great daily stories. I highly recommend it to any parent looking for full time or part time programs. My daughter has also had great potty training sucess here. I love the staff, they are very friendly and helpful. The who facility is very clean, I have nothing but wonderful things to say. I am very happy that I found a place that gives me peace of mind when I drop my precious daughter there.

My daughter has been attending this school since she was 6 months. She started in the infant room with Mrs. Crystal. I was so nervous to leave my brand new baby with them, but they took such good care of her. She is now almost 2 and loves going to school. The facility is very clean, the staff is warm and friendly and she learns so much. She comes home with songs and crafts. I recommend this place all the time.

Lit??l Scholar set me on my path to academic success! Long ago, I attended preschool and kindergarten at this family-owned, well-established Las Vegas early learning institution; years later, I worked there as a teacher and center director. I??m now a museum educator with two graduate degrees and experience at prestigious museums across the country. And, I can state with certainty that Lit??l Scholar is one of the best early childhood education programs available anywhere.

We are not happy with the education or the care given at this facility. Front office has major attitude problems and they are confrontational when we inquire about our daughter's well being. She is miserable and we are looking for a different place for her to attend.

When we had our baby - we looked at several childcare facilities in the Las Vegas area. Most smelled like dirty diapers - in many - the babies were laying in their cribs in the dark. Lit'l Scholar was light and bright and "cheerful". It has far surpassed our expectations and I can't put into words how incredibly happy I am that we took a chance and sent our baby there. Not only was he doing art projects at the age of 3 months - but I can say that I consider his care providers to be his second Moms. They teach him something new every day and are great at communicating with us - whether it be to tell us he fell and bumped his head while playing with his little buddies - or to tell us that he is progressing from Biter Buscuits to Cheerios. Lit'l Scholar is safe, the workers are loving and friendly. Our son is always in a good mood when we pick him up...and always happy in the morning to "play" with Rachelle and her crew. We don't feel that we would find the kind of exceptional care, personal attention and satisfaction at any other facility. We have high standards and can say 100% that Lit'l Scholar has far exceeded our expectations. Our infant is constantly coming home with art projects, pictures of him and his little daycare buddies playing and holiday gifts he "made" for us. We brag about Lit'l Scholar to everyone who asks what we think about daycare. It is expensive - but - really - is this an area you would want to hold back on? I would rather pay the extra money and know that my little guy is being stimulated throughout the day and not stuck on his back in a dark room where they never go outside.

This kindergarten is run by a disorganized elderly teacher. She scares the students enough so that they are afraid to even ask her a question regarding anything.
This school is supposed to be a 'non religious' kindergarten. My child often comes home saying that her teacher told her that God makes it rain, this was stated a week after an elaborate science fair held as an open house for all kids and parents. I was very upset to hear that my child was being taught that a simple weather pattern such as rain was God's doing. One of the reasons why we chose this particular school was that it was supposed to be non religious.
NOT RECOMMENDED.

Pros: Cheerful Ambience

Cons: Disorganized, Kindergarten Teacher is Harsh and Intimidating

.

My son just joined the two-year old classroom and the teachers are irresponsible and untrustworthy. They were very inconsistant with the explanations of why my son was upset and crying when I picked him up at an unusual time. The director had a very arrogant and uncaring attitude and hasn't called me when I left several messages with the front desk.. This place is the most expensive daycare in my area and is not worth the money I paid for. I am very disappointed.

PROS: Price includes lunch, clean and lots of toys with big area to play.
CONS: Inexperienced teachers, Incompetent director, and expensive.
