I am delighted my grandchildren are benefitting from this school.
Their parents are active in the school. My grandson and grandaughter love school, they are always curious, and Heart to Hand grows and nurtures their enthusiasm for learning, life and friendships. We are so fortunate to have Heart to Hand.

Heart to Hand is more than a school for my two children. It is a place where we have found a community of friends and teachers with whom we share a passion for healthy growth in an environment that preserves the children's innocence, accentuates their creativity and imagination, and inspires a profound reverence for human kind and nature. We embarked on this journey three years ago after informing ourselves about Waldorf education. We are confident that this unique and holistic educational approach is what our children need. I often think and have heard from other parents at Heart to Hand how lucky our children are for being immersed in such a magical and unique program. Many have said that they wish they had had the opportunity to attend a Waldorf school themselves. Everyday I witness how creative and imaginative my daughters have become. They often play and invent or retell stories and songs using simple objects (silks, rocks, wood, water, leaves and soil) both indoors as well as outdoors. We as parents are committed to help and guide our children to develop their full potential in life and face the world with an open mind and heart. This school and i'ts community are without a doubt our best allies to achieve this priceless goal. I am very excited about the 1st grade that is beginning this fall.

My two children attend this school and we couldn't be happier. The school is based on Rudolph Steiner's philosophy for Waldorf education and truly allows children to experience childhood while being immersed in a rich language-based curriculum. My children love the circles, when my daughter first started she would sing and do the hand motions to the songs, now a year later she is making up her own songs and movements to go with the songs. The imagination is valued at this school. I love this school.

I wish I had a positive experience to report with this school. We were impressed and excited at first and the staff and management made many promises to us. Unfortunately, they totally misrepresented themselves. After only a month they sent an email saying that they could no longer provide care for our child who is five years old. No parent meeting, no phone call, nothing just an email with no notice. Their reason was classes were going to be merged with a higher teacher to student ratio in older class and they were going to start provided care for babies and toddlers (more income). Please beware of any promises they make to you. There is a big turnover in teachers there and they do not provide a consistent summer care program.

My child attends the Heart to Hand School in Reno. Heart to Hand is a Waldorf Initiative in Northern Nevada. The Waldorf based curriculum teaches kids how to be conscious of the world around them and encourages their creativity. If you are looking for an alternative to schools filled with TV, junk food, and overwhelming structure, this is it!
