I love this place! The mountain is huge and the runs are super long. If you stay at the embassy suites you can take the gondola from the back parking lot right up to the slopes and never have to drive or take a shuttle. There are 4 beginner slopes (green) and they vary from very easy right up to a mile long intermediate slope with tight turns and narrow but fast areas. pack a lunch if you can because basic hot dogs are $8.

Heavenly Ski Resort has many slopes and lifts that you can quick get back to the top of the mountain. That said, there is often a crowd of people - especially on the weekends. Lift tickets are a little on the pricey side.

What can I say - our family loves to ski at Heavenly esp. since the Marriot opened time shares at the base of the Heavenly Gondola several years back. With a huge mountain, there is enough variety to satisfy a range of levels of skiers. In addition, they have excellent ski programs for kids.

this is the place we go skiing all the times. view is fantastic. service is perfect, even though it is always crowded. best time to go is on Wed. then you can totally enjoy the skiing without a bunch people around you. best deal is to a group seasonal pass, which cut the expensive ski cost to minimum

Wow just truly wow. Before I came here I went to resorts like Donners ski ranch and Bear Valley. Those are NOTHING compared to this. You have not skied until you ski (or snowboard!) a resort like Heavenly. My favorite part about the resort is that you can be up on the mountain all day without even having to come down and even glimpse at your car! There are so many trails up there and they are not just for experts, there are trails for every level at the top. Thats what I really like, when you feel like a challenge you can go on a harder slope, but if all of a sudden you dont feel like you're up to it, you can casually turn onto a green slope. They have bathrooms and food up there too. I like getting hot chocolate when my fingers and toes have gone numb from the frost. Even though there are SO many people there you basically dont have to wait in line for a chair, lines go really quickly. But the fact that there are so many people does take a toll on the begginning and end of the day. Especially at the end of the day I have to wait for 45mins in the cold for the Gondola. IN the morning its better but there is also the problem of rentals. It takes also about 45 mins being in that tiny little store with people walking all over you and it gets really hot. The lift tickets are hugely priced! I use that $5 off coupon from albertsons whenever I get one.

This is definitly a world class ski resort. High slopes, incredible views of the Lake below. There are two ways to get up onto the Mountain, The Nevada side where all the big hotels are or the California side. When you first get onto the the first big ski lift and look back, what a view. It is absolutly breathtaking, you are looking down and you can see the whole Lake Tahoe. Even though the ski resort is quiete crowded the lines go really fast. The ski and snowboard instructors are so good! I love taking lessons. And they come from places like Brazil, South Africa, Sweden, Australia. The prices are crazy though! absolutly crazy. you'll go broke on a lisft ticket alone.

Heavenly is a great mountain to ski at. It is one of the largest in the Lake Tahoe area, and has slopes in California and Nevada. The views from the top are absolutely beautiful! There are lots of lifts, and just about all of them are high-speed and carry 4 to 6 people at a time.

Even if you are not a skiier, you can ride up the gondola to a mid-way point and look at the views, as well as cross country ski, snowshoe and a few other activities.

The skiing is great at Heavenly; however, it can get quite crowded, especially on weekends and holidays. The daily lift tickets are quite expensive, over $60 per day; however, they sell season passes for less than $500 (some restrictions apply). If you live in the area or come to Heavenly quite frequently, their passes are a great deal.

There are a few different base lodges. Most of the base lodges provide free parking; however, if you go to the gondola at Heavenly Village, you will have to pay to park.

There are also lots of nice shops and cafes at the bottom of the gondola area.

PROS: Beautiful Views, Variety of Terrain, Fast Lifts
CONS: Crowds, Price of Lift Ticket
