Whole Foods Market

I have been going to Wild Oats when they were Kathy's Health Food Store. I like their variety of vitamins and health foods but their veggies are a little pricey. I also heard from an employee that the store is going to start selling products that are not (health food quality). That would be a disappointment. But until then, a good place for varieties of health foods.

This is a great location is buy organic foods, I know that when I shop here I wont find packaged foods, i.e., pasta mixes, cereals, etc. with fake ingredients. The service is great everyone is always accomadating. The produce dept always has fresh fruits and vegetables. I can find all my nutritional supplements in one store and have all my questions answered. There deli has fresh food and tastes great.

I went to this store for the 1st time July 2005. I wanted to find some really fresh tomatoes for the salsa I was going to make. I picked out the tomatoes on the vine. When I got home and cut them up they tasted just like the ones I buy from Walmart. So, I really didn't see what was so special about there produce. I also bought dole bananas,white onion,green jalepenos, and garlic. I didn't find anything special, just higher prices.

PROS: Clean Store.
CONS: High Prices.

Shopping in this store requires a slow stroll to take in all the wonderful selections. The store personnel are curtious and well informed. I always find exciting things to try.

The Meat department is very well taken care as well as the entire store. The Butcher recommend the Skirt steak which was put through the tenderizer and marinaded for several hours. He also recommened we cook in slowly on the grill. They were the best steaks I have ever had.
