BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!!! I would recommend this boarding facility for anyone. Having just moved here from Michigan 9 months ago I did not have a familiar kennel to board my golden retriever, Sunny. I like somewhere that allows the dogs "free run" during the day, and Joyce (owner) and Renee were the sweetest, kindest people ever. Along with the younger man that works there who is very friendly and helpful. Sunny had a wonderful time, my phone call to check on her was welcomed. I was encouraged and felt 100% comfortable during my first drop by visit. They were not expecting me and were very happy to meet myself and Sunny. Sunny also was groomed beautifully. Being a golden she LOVES to swim and was very matted. She came back to me gorgeous. I will only use this kennel for as long as I live in the Las Vegas area. Thank you so much America staff...us doggie parents really appreciate the pride and quality care you provide to our furry friends!!!

My experience at this pet hotel was very positive. I would definitely board my (uncastrated, docile) male here again.

AD-CH let me pick up after-hours, just ring the bell. Great staff make dropoff and pickup painless and fun for everyone.

What a crazy woman the owner is.... I stopped by at 3:30 am just to see if someone was there and no one was. I tried to get in and made a lot of noise no one was at that place!! I went to pickup my dogs in the morning and would not give me a refund. She said the staff was probably sleeping. Mam if the staff is sleeping and did not hear all of the noise I was making then how would they hear if somehting was happening to my dog!!! I was just reading on here to see if other people are having problems and my gosh I wish I would have read this before I boarded there. I will never go there again!!!

I own this hotel. I challenge anyone to come and check out my facility. Any of the old posts from July 09 and before were from the old owners and old manager. My hotel is a 5 star facility with hands on owners. I also challenge anyone who boards somewhere else to go to the facility at about 3am and see if you really get a human in the building NOT!!!!!! I am the only facility that has 24 hr. supervision with a live person, not a camera. And about the recent posts, these are from disgrunted employees who got fired because they could not meet the high standards that I require to work at my hotel. Grow up people and leave the posts to real customers with real experiences. Again, I challenge anyone to come see my facility and there is no appointment needed. My place is spotless all the time, not just when a customers makes and appointment to see it. That is the difference between a 5 star facility and a copy cat facility.

I am so mad at this hotel they took horrible care of my dog. When i picked him up he was shaking all over and so afraid. Like no one had gone near him for days. I wanted to see the room when I got there to get him and they took me back to his room there was poop and pee in there and the water looked like it had not been changed in days.... Iam so upset.

I boarded my dog at America Dog and Cat Hotel on Patrick for the past ten days. I picked her up and she has lost so much weight I don??t think they fed her very much at all. She never has a problem eating when I leave her as I go out of town at least every three weeks for 7-10 days. When I asked the manager why my dog was so thin and how he was eating he did not even know who my dog was. He asked someone else and she said my dog was not eating why didn??t they call me?? Ten days is a long time for a dog not to eat.. I know this in not true she never has a problem they didn??t feed my dog. Not only did they not feed her but when I picked her up she was covered in fesces and smelt like urine. I don??t think they even took her out of that room. This was very expensive and a big mistake my dog could have died the vet said she lost so much weight. I just hope no one loses there loved one because of this hotel. Beware!!!

Well the business was sold to another person. And guess what they do not have a record of our purchase. I have my credit card statement that shows I paid on Dec 17,06 Do you think the new owners would even consider offering us something, well no way. So we are out 849.00 So I suggest to anyone out there that they get plenty of proof when you purchase their very expensive rooms. I can't believe a business owner would take the chance of losing business because of word of mouth. And believe me I will never recommend this place to anyone.

I am the owner of the America Dog & Cat Hotel since July 31, 2009. The recent review of a dog getting hurt at my facility is absolutely false. We were playing with that dog for about 45 min. with the ball. There was nothing wrong with that dog, and when the husband came to pick up his dog, nothing was said about any injury to the dog. Also, the owner has a white vehicle with all white interior, now if that dog was injured in my facility, the back of his vehicle would have been stained with blood. The owners just called the next day and told us about the injury that they said happened in my facility, they should have brought the dog in so we could see what they were talking about, instead they demanded their money back and they are now bad mouthing us to everyone.
As for all the other reviews, that was before we owned this hotel. We don't allow things like that to happen in this hotel.
The owners are hands on owners. The care and safety of the dogs are our number on priority. Most of my employees are vet techs. and I am a licensed nurse with a strong medica background. I would have noticed if a dog was injured at my hotel. I welcome anybody to try us, I guarantee you will be a satisfied customer. And another thing, we are the only facility that is staffed 24 hrs. We have a live person working the overnight shift, not a camera. If something happens, the owners are called no matter what time it is. Come check us out.

I had been boarding my dog there since she was a puppy. I had really come to like american dog & cat and so had my dog. We also really love Heidi, she is a great person and really cares for the animals. Recently my dog got bite at the hotel. She had to have 15 stitches in her back. The bite was down into the muscle, so she obviously screamed out when it happened. No one said anything to us when we picked her up. I understand that accidents can happen in these environments. I work with my dog around people and other dogs all the time. My dog is a therapy dog. I may have decided to stay on as a client had the situation been handled with some care. But the owners were extremely callous the way they treated us. Our family (especially our 2 children) was very upset about what happened. We received no compassion from these people. They did not try to compensate us for the $500 vet bill. Nor did they refund over $400 in doggie daycare. Not even "Sorry " I now have heard they have had other complaints...I wished someone would have warned me. BE WARNED!!!

After being quoted one price, agreeing on details (like pick up time) I had the paperwork faxed from my vet. Upon arrival the price increased by $25! By that point I didn't have the time to call around to other places and get appropriate documentation. It was completely unacceptable to get one quote, agree and then be faced with a huge increase. I was also concerned that both when I dropped off my puppy and picked him up there wasn't anyone attending the dogs. For the outrageous price I had to paid I would expect that at least one person would be out monitoring the dogs and playing with them. I would not recommend this place.

I used American Dog & Cat Hotel , First time visitor . I had no complaints , I needed boarding ASAP and i got a reservation made and my puppy dropped off in the matter of a couple hours with no hassles , when we arrived she ran into play with all the little dogs her own size , the friendly staff took the whole family on a guided tour of the Facility . For our puppy being rescued from the Human Society i would never make her go back into a cage , there suite ( we chose a mini for our Dashound) was well more large enough for a small puppy. She even got her own plasma T.V. in her suite , the price was well worth it , she is not locked up , she plays all day , sleeps all night . I do recommend this place while u are vacationing ,

When I called, the manager made it painfully clear that she had 32 RESERVATIONS and that my drop off needed to be quick to accommodate 32 RESERVATIONS. She did not ask me to do an eval since my dogs had been to an all day play daycare before.

When we arrived, it was sooo stressful, there were two dogs in the room facing the lobby that kept barking at my dogs; there was a cat (YES! a cat) unleashed and wandering around the lobby which one of my dogs is a rescue and I was told he absolutely does not get along with cats; I asked about the first day being free as advertised on their website and the manager quite curtly said that there was no way possible she could give me free daycare when she has 32 RESERVATIONS on a holiday weekend; she reviewed their shot records so quick that she thought some were missing and told me that she couldn't take them to which I had to go over them with her; I had to repeat myself several times because she was in such a hurry; and finally, another dog came in while we were waiting and my male dog growled and the manager immediately told me that she couldn't take him because he growled and it meant he was unsocialized and aggressive and that she didn't have time for him. As I tried to explain that none of us saw what happened considering we were going over their shot records (could have been the cat, could have been stress, could have been anything), she just responded that she had 32 RESERVATIONS and she didn't have time to find out what happened.

I was inconvenienced and left with my dogs. However, it worked out for the best after reading some of these reviews. Needless to say, the whole interaction took about 7 minutes and the manager most truly treated it like nothing more than a business.

The manager never acknowledged my dogs or asked questions about them (i.e. names, ages) or even introduced herself or the daycare facilities. She kept confirming that I was only there for daycare, which made it seem if I wanted to pay to keep them longer, she would have made an exception.

I do NOT recommend this place, there are several other all day play daycares that are soooo much nicer and more competitive with rates and special care. Of course, I can't comment on the treatment the dogs get at this daycare, but the manager does not give a warm welcome that you would expect at these prices and most of all, the place to leave your loved one.

I am a concerned citizen and I feel that it is so petty that you take your dog to a animal resort or hotel and then come and complain about it! You spent your money for your dog to stay at a animal hotel and it is just that a animal hotel...you have the choose to bring your animal his or her own food, toys, and bedding if you don't they do provide it for you. Your dog is in a comfortable room or suite with entertainment and i could bet that the staff play and socialize with your pet while it is staying at hotel! They have play areas for your pet to go and socialize with other pets that are staying at the hotel so your pet doesn't feel lonely! But all you people want to do is complain that your pet wasn't treated like royalty! People work hard at there jobs and I think people need to take a second to realize that! At a animal resort/hotel there are more animals then just one persons pet so figure how many rooms and suites there are to clean up and animals to take care of but no one thinks about that they think about how there dog wasn't watched over every minute it was there or that maybe there dog might smell like urine! I mean come on now the first thing a dog is going to do in a new environment is urinate to mark its new territory all dogs do that! If you want your dog pampered and treated like royalty then you need to dish out more money and get a private dog sitter that way you pay them to take care of just your dog but that is not what a animal resort/hotel is they take care of multiple pets feed, medicate,and clean up after. So in conclusion STOP COMPLAINING it is not just your pet at the resort/hotel...I am sure all the employees do their hardest to make you and your pet happy if they do not meet your standards I am sorry they are human!

But all you people want to do is complain that your pet wasn't treated like royalty! People work hard at there jobs and I think people need to take a second to realize that! At a animal resort/hotel there are more animals then just one persons pet so figure how many rooms and suites there are to clean up and animals to take care of but no one thinks about that they think about how there dog wasn't watched over every minute it was there or that maybe there dog might smell like urine! I mean come on now the first thing a dog is going to do in a new environment is urinate to mark its new territory all dogs do that! If you want your dog pampered and treated like royalty then you need to dish out more money and get a private dog sitter that way you pay them to take care of just your dog but that is not what a animal resort/hotel is they take care of multiple pets feed, medicate,and clean up after. So in conclusion STOP COMPLAINING it is not just your pet at the resort/hotel...I am sure all the employees do their hardest to make you and your pet happy if they do not meet your standards I am sorry they are human!

I have my doubts about America Dog and Cat Hotel. When I picked up my puppy after a recent stay, I noticed his rear end was wet. I asked why he was wet and I was told they had to wash his ??bottom??. It wasn??t until I got home that I saw the there was still fecal matter on his butt where they attempted to wash him. So I proceeded to wash him again. My dog is over three years old and well house broken, and I wonder where he got the fecal matter. Was he left to potty in his suite, or did he pick it up from other dogs? Either way, it is totally unacceptable. The question remains. Shortly after we were home, he proceeded to urinate on the carpet.

The daily fee for staying at this place exceeds $80 per day, and you have to pay for the day you drop off you pet, AND the day you pick him up. In other words, if your pet just spends the night, you are charged for 2 days lodging. What a rip off.

Although I have two days remaining on my pre-purchased package, which they refuse to acknowledge (pre-purchased package of 13 days, minus a 5 day stay and a 6 day stay), I will not lodge my dog there again. I care more about the care and welfare of my dog, than him having a TV in his suite.

I now take my dog to Petsmart Dog Hotel. The rates are $25 per day and they have 24 hour staff on duty. Also, they have a vet clinic on site.

These people are so mean and only looking for your money. As long as you pay and a lot, they will smile and keep you in good graces. They are in it for the momey and that's all. You can find many more caring places other than this one. Don't be fooled by the decor.

When we dropped him off, the staff assured us that they would take good care of him and watch him constantly to make sure that he felt comfortable during his stay there. When we picked him up on the third day, he was too scared to come out of his suite, he was backed up into the far corner, and we had to go back with the staff to get him. When we entered his suite there was urine on the floor, other dog food in his bowl (we provided his own dog food and they assured us that he was going to eat "his" food), and his bed was soaked in urine. When I went to pet him, his hair was matted and oily. I asked the staff member what was on him, and he just simply replied "I don't know". My dog just wanted to get out of there. He couldn't run towards the door fast enough. Later I realized that he himself was soaked in urine. They didn't take him out of his suite often enough to let him go to the bathroom. I asked the staff how he was over the weekend, and the lady Lois said "It seems like he did fine." She had no idea! No one there could tell me what he was like over his stay. They were just interested in getting us to book another stay! We also noticed that his nose was scratched and raw. It is as if he got bit by another dog or scratched it trying to get out of there. Either way, the staff didn't bother to notify us when it happened, or they just didn't see it because no one was paying any attention to him over his stay. I am never taking him back to that place again. paying $80-$100 a night is ridiculous if he is not going to get the care they promise. Don't let your pet stay there unless you don't mind them sitting in a room by themselves the whole time and coming home soaked in urine!

We have been bringing our greyhound to the America Dog & Cat Hotel for over a year now and have been very pleased with their service. Because our girl can't socialize (retired racer; high prey drive, delicate), she gets a litte extra attention after play time. We have our own food items that we bring for our baby, and staff is very happy to oblige special needs. Our girl always returns to us as the same happy dog she was when we dropped her off and the staff very clearly loves her! Highly recommended!

The format of how the dogs are kept busy is good, but you don't get what you expect for the price paid. We would not recommend this place.

I was initially impressed with the facility, and ultimately purchased a multi-stay package for my dog, Sid. On his first stay he developed problems, not the hotel's fault, but because of his age (10 year old Great Dane.) He was unable to stand up after extended playing time, and when I arrived to pick him up, found that he had urinated several times on his bed, and the staff had more or less just trown treats and other food around him in a vain effort to get him to eat something.

I attempted to reach the owner, Chris to see what my options were for the remining visits- it was obvious that it was unfair to board Sid again, or to task the staff with trying to care for him. After repeated messages being left for Chris, (he did not answer ANY of them) I fianlly reached him, and was very directly told that it was just too bad that I had spend over $900 for hotel stays that I could not use. He said I could use them for another dog, sell them, or give them to charity. I tried to get a word in, but he cut me off, and said the conversation was "over." He then HUNG UP ON ME.

Chris was more concerned about keeping money that I would never be able to use than he was about the referrals I could provide. I was very surprised at Chris' lack of customer service skills, and ultimately his lack of care about customer satisfaction. He would have been able to make the money refunded to me back many time over if he would have done the right thing.

I would STRONGLY discourage anyone from using his business!

I was informed via a manager that the owner, Chris could not refund any payment since it was a pre-paid package. The owner could have done whatever he saw was fit, and unfortunately felt that retaining money he already received outweighed both my future business and referrals.

It was obvious that my dog simply didn?t do well because of his older age, and the ownership simply couldn?t see fit to do the right thing. To date, my calls have not been returned by the owner.

As far as I can tell my cats loved it as well. I dropped the cats off here when my husband and I went away for a long weekend. We went to see the place before actually dropping the cats off. I fell in love with the staff they are true pet lovers which made me feel safe. They kept my two cats together which also made me feel good. The price is a bit more than the vet but to keep them happy instead of in a cage all day it is worth it to me. I will be back.

This place is really cool, it's like a hotel and daycare combined for you dog or cat. They give you the first day free and free tours before you apply. You can leave your pet there as long as you like. The people there are really friendly and are animal lovers. They offer indoor park and private suites for your dog, and a three story condo for your cat.
