This company refuses to pay myself and the 5 other employees as of today 8/16/08. Beau Bijon continues to do business paying new employees cash.
They also store shampoo in moldy bottles and clean the dogs rear ends with the same utensils they clean their beards and eyes with.

This company tops it! They refuse to pay the former 5 employees and are currently paying new employees cash. They are claiming the IRS has holds on all of the accounts for tax fraud but still have the doors open and are pocketing whatever is leftover. It's hard enough these days to keep a job but to have worked for free and watch these ungrateful ma and pa shops just decide it's not in their best interest to pay payroll. Disgusts me.
I want my money and I think it's a shame they are getting away with it.

Pros: none

Cons: Everything about them

We have two dogs that I have been taking to Beau Bijon for over 3 years, since they were puppies. One is a Westie and one is a Schnauzer. We took them to two other groomers (PetSmart down the street being one of them) and we were not happy with either one for different reasons. Then, thankfully, we found Beau Bijon.

The owners and the groomers are very friendly and have always been professional. The environment is clean, state of the art, and classy looking. You can see directly into the grooming room through a glass wall which takes the mystery out of what is happening to the dogs left in their care.

Our dogs have never been rushed and have always come out looking clean, expertly cut, and most important happy. Our dogs go there about every 5 or 6 weeks and always perk up with excitment as we drive up to the door. For our 2 dogs we expect them to be there for about 3 hours.

We've not had a single bad experience there. Any questions or concerns we've had have always been met with professionalism. The groomers always come out to ask if there is anything special we want done even though we usually get the same thing done every time.

I once left my checkbook behind and by the time I got home I received a call about it. I feel so comfortable with the staff there that I did not pick it up for a couple of days.

Price-wise, yes, it does cost a little bit more than Pet Smart but I have never paid $70 for either dog! The most we ever paid was $60 for one of our dogs and that was because we requested a special shampoo be used due to her skin allergies. They supplied the shampoo, by the way. Usually it's about $50.

The extra cost is worth it to us because:

1) The place is clean and professional.
2) The groomers are of a higher caliber than any other place we've been.
3) The owners are great people who are dog lovers.
4) Our dogs are treated like the family members that they are.
5) It is convenient to where we live, in Summerlin.

I have to say this about the owners of this dog salon. He made us feel comfortable about getting our Bichon groomed and dematted. She was only 9 months at the time and her first experience. We were nervous and had no idea what to expect. We were told it would take about an hour and a half. But 30 minutes later, we get a call to come pick her up. After paying them $70 and seeing our pup shaved down to the bone, we went home only find that our baby girl was so miserable from the plucking of the ears! She kept shaking hers head for days so we took her to the Vet. We were told that inside her canal was so irritated and swollen that they must have pulled her hair out with some type of grip pliers all at once. HC cortisone was given to her for 2 weeks of her misery.
Now that she's one and a half years old, it was time for another cut. We took her to Petsmart and told them of our last experience and making sure that no hair was to be plucked out. It was a 3 hour process of bathing and cutting her twice with the trimmings. Why is it that Beau Bijon takes 30 mintues and charges $70 ? And that didn't include my Vet bill !
