Book Magician South

The owner of this store is rude and unprofessional. She raised her voice, embarrassed and humiliated me for asking for a cash refund for a new $34 book returned the day after Christmas in the original shrink wrap. Customer service is important in this economy, there are other stores to spend your money with that will be kind and welcome your business, this store does not welcome your business in my opinion. She now has by husband's Christmas gift and my cash, refusing to give a refund!!

One of the things I miss about not living in San Francisco, Bay Area, is the scarcity of used bookstores concentrated in one neighborhood. Do not despair, however, there are a couple of good used bookstores in town. One of them, Book Magician, is closer to downtown. They have a wide range of used books. The only gripe I have is that the staff could be a little nicer.

Great store to look for that book you loaned somebody 10 years ago and can't find it in print now. Nice atmosphere, enough books to find just about anything you might be interested in.
