This Drs office has the worst and meanest staff I have ever seen. They all seem so angry and their immediate reaction is defence and yelling. Any time I have ever been there I have been blindsided by bills and the office staff has every time yelled at me to get me to understand them. I am an adult and can just as easily understand anyones point with out the attitude. Dont waste your time.

AWFUL experience with this Sahara office. I am over 50 years old, have seen many doctors in my lifetime in different states and never have I experienced anything like this! I would not refer my worst enemy to this office. The Office Manager is EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional! A few days after I was seen by a doctor, his nurse called me with test results and follow up information. I later had a few questions for the doctor, but was told by the Office Manager, to whom all calls into the office are re-directed, that I could not speak to my doctor and that "the doctors DO NOT speak to patients over the telephone - you must schedule an appointment to speak to them." I then left a message for the nurse to call me and behold, I received a return call from the Office Manager. After several unsuccessful attempts to speak to my doctor and/or nurse, I finally had to leave a fake name and a different telephone number in order for the Office Manager to give the nurse my message - and I NEVER got a chance to speak to my doctor about my test results. The staff at the Sahara office has absolutely NO people skills!

Dr. Scarff has been the most attentive and intelligent OB/GYN I have ever had. After the birth of my 1st child I had an infection that went undiagnosed for 3 months by HPN doctors. At the recommendation of a friend I went to see Dr. Scarff who was able to diagnose and correct the problem within 2 days. Turns out I had a rectal fistula. At any rate, he let me know then that if I was to ever have another child that it would have to be by c-section due to scar tissue. Well 5 years later I was pregnant and would not have considered anyone else to deliver my daughter but him. While he is very upfront and maybe sometimes blunt I have never heard him be in appropriate, just to the point and truthful. On the day my c-sction was scheduled I actually went into labor, showed up at the hospital and Dr. Scarff was called immediately. He arrived at the hospital within 30 min and was able to keep me relaxed as well as laughing during the procedure. I say kudos to Dr. Scarff... I will say that I cannot speak on the staff or billing department other than to say there may have been times where they were abrupt, but I assume everyone has a bad day... I know I do.

They should get - 5 stars. Dr. Scarff has got to be the most unprofessional, manipulative and unethical doctors I have ever met in my entire life. I saw him with my first child after being referred by a family member who delivered her 2 children. His bedside manner wasn't my cup of tea. He made degrading jokes about women in general as well as about his ex-wife and his current girlfriend. I figured he was just a "man's man" kinda guy, but that didn't mean he wasn't a good doctor, right?! So I go into labor on my due date with my first child, the maternity ward nurse contacted Dr. Scarff who I had seen 2 days prior and they tell me he's on a mini vacation in town. He wasn't even out of the city! So they're going to send a different Dr. who I had never heard of. I was calm and collected and didn't really big deal it. The dr. over the phone had me start pushing and then when I was crowning the nurse called her back and she told them to have me stop pushing because she had to finish running some errands and had to drop off her kids! An hour later she shows up. Dr. Herrera I think her name was. She walks in and says, "So we're having a baby huh?". My husband wanted to strangle her. Story short the baby was fine and I was stupid enough to go to Dr. Scarff for my second pregnancy. This one had problems right from the start. I was confirmed pregnant at 8 weeks because he wouldn't see me before that and found twins. I was extatic! A week later I was to have a follow up appointment just to go over the nutritional and physical issues with having twins and he didn't have time the first appointment. Well I go in on my appointment day not for my actual appointment, but for spotting. They tell me my appointment isn't till the following week and Dr. Scarff won't see me because he's at lunch. WOW! So I ask to speak to a nurse. The office person tells me to leave the office and then call a nurse because they don't speak to patience in person! So I call the nurse after I leave, trying not to fume over my encounter with the office shrew and get a call back a half an hour later telling me to go to the hospital that it's an ectopic pregnancy. I reminded her that I was having twins and she said then it must be a miscarriage. I go to the hospital and they confirm I lost one of the babies, but the other one was okay. I was devestated and relieved at the same time. So I continue on with my pregnancy as planned. Near my 40th week, but not on or after, Dr. Scarff tries to convince me to go in for inducing. For some reason I actually let him talk me into doing it the next day. He says, "I'll see you in the morning and explain everything then". I'm paraphrasing of course. I go into the hospital in the morning, wait 1 hour for my room and then the nurses wait another hour to see if Scarff is going to show up. He doesn't so they ask me, "Why are you here?" No one knew I was scheduled for inducing. So they ask me "Are you doing Pitocin or the 24-hour?" I didn't even have time to research any of it. I had no idea. So they finally get a hold of Scarff and he told them Pitocin. Well about 3 minutes after the IV drip was started I have a constant contraction. The most excrutiating pain I have ever felt in my life. The baby's heart rate plumets and she hits the code blue button!! I'm rushed off for an emergency C-section as my husband and 2 1/2 year old watch in disbelief. Everything went okay thanks to some quick thinking surgeons and their awesome staff who happened to be prepped for a scheduled c-section. If that OR hadn't been ready, I would have lost my son. Dr. Scarff shows up the next morning, milkshake in hand. " So you had a babyitsaboy!" Apparently his popular catch phrase. What an ass! The surgeons and nursing staff had already told me it was the Pitocin that caused the emergency and that I should never have been induced before 41 weeks let alone before my due date and Dr. Scarff actually tried to convince my husband and I that it was some fluke and not the Pitocin at all. And then this idiot Dr. Scarff tells me he's going on vacation for a week! That's why he wanted to induce eary!!! He says his associate Dr. Kramer will be by after my 3 days of recovery to release me. Well apparently Dr. Scarff forgot to tell him, because he didn't show up till day 4. And came in saying " I didn't even know you were here!" Sheesh! Then to top everything off, Dr. Scarff's office didn't file with the insurance company for 6 months at which time we were with a different insurance company and so the old insurance denied the claim. Then they sent me a bill from Dr. Scarff's for $8500+!!! He didn't even perform the surgery! And I had already paid $2500 when I got out of the hospital for my total co-pay. Worst staff and worst doctor ever!!! Try Women's Specialty Care. The best staff and best doctors!!!

I was sent to collections without notice. The office called back and I tried to explain to the billing contact I did not receive another bill to notify me to prior to collections. I will quote her response, "IF YOU WOULD JUST SHUT UP AND LISTEN YOU WOULD HAVE KNOW YOU WERE GOING TO COLLECTIONS." I replied, "Wow, I can't believe you speak that way." For an OBGYN office to have a billing department with that lack of customer service and compassion is INSANE. I only went to the office due to insurance coverage only. I was pregnant with twins and had lost them both in June. I will never return to that office again!

Dr. Kramer has delivered my twins and first daughter. This man is practicing medicine as doctors used to back in the day. Dr. Kramer is a very intelligent, attentive and caring doctor. Dr. Kramer is doing what he does because he loves life, he loves his work. I could tell by watching his passion during both of my c-sections when he brings the babies out. He treats them as if they were his own. Dr. Kramer only deserves good praise. If you had a bad experience with an office staff member, write a letter to your doctor. If you are having an emergency, then go to a hospitol, that's what they are there for. Dr. Kramer, keep up the good work.

There is a certain way you say somethings to people. When my wife had spotting during her pregnancy for more than 2 days we called the office... "YOU NEED TO GET TO A DOCTOR'S OFFICE", says nurse Peggy.

The next day my wife had a full blown miscarraige and she called again- this time she spoke with Kelly who I found out later is a phome operator but she likes to pose as a nurse.

"DIDN'T WE TELL YOU TO GO TO A DOCTOR YESTERDAY????"

gee... thanks a lot. In St Thomas and can't get into see one today.

My wife in tears and not knowing what the phone conversation was about, I thought i would give them a call. Here is Kelly two minutes after my wife hangs up.

"SIR, WHAT IS YOUR WIFE'S PASSWORD. I CAN'T TALK TO YOU W/O A PASSWORD".

Turns out they give you a password on the first day about 3 months ago- my wife forgot it.

Last resort was to talk to the office manager Linda Gay. I am a business owner and manage a couple hundred people and always want to hear about our PERCEPTION.. even if I know we were right. I told Linda about my experience.

"I LOOKED AT THE HISTORY OF THE CALLS AND WE DID EVERYTHING BY THE BOOK, YOUR WIFE CHOSE NOT TO LISTEN AND YOU PAID THE CONSEQUENCES." This lady was thinking about her office liability and could give a crap about the patient's feelings.

Remember what I said about the way you say things to people...

I asked if she was indeed in charge of the whole office. She said yes. "Now I see where your staff gets their attitude". Then she starts in on me and actually raises her voice stressing her point that they did everything right. Hmmm... what a psycho.

All I wanted was to let her know the experience and get my wife's medical information out of their office which was, of course, another pain in the neck.

Dear Linda Gay, phone tech Kelly and the rest of the Glassman, Kramer & Scarff staff:

YOU SUCK!!!!!

Call me if you have any questions:

The service was absolutely horrendous and the Dr was very unprofessional; nevermind the fact the billing department not only tried to double bill my insurance company. they sent a separate bill altogether to me; they also took the money that was sent to them for the lab fees and never paid the lab. When I called to clear up the issue with their collection department, the billing clerk I spoke with couldnt have been more rude. I will never return there and will not only make sure no one I know goes there, I will recommend anyone going there now find a new ob/gyn.
