On my first trip to Vegas, I had great conversation with the Reservation agent that checked us in. On the other hand, when I went to speak with someone at the counter, another rep was extremely rude. I was standing in line and when it was my turn, the rep said ""next in line"". When I went up, he said no, not you and pointed to another guy who was standing on the side. I said, "" excuse me sir, I was here first, and the moron said, ""he only needs a key"", and I said so do I. Nonetheless, he still persued in assisting the other guy. I spoke with Management and was offered a free meal in one of their restaurants. I did not care for that, what's fair is fair, and that jerk should have been fired. Must of been gay.

My family stayed at the monte Carlo and weren't overly impressed - i'd say it was adequate but lacking some of the wow you expect in Vegas

I saw the show with Lance Burton and it was pretty amazing stuff. His illusions were somewhat believable, but I did notice some strings on some of the floating things he did. Other than that, it was a bit overpriced.

Monte Carlo is my choice among mid-priced strip hotels. The guest rooms are nice although the bathrooms are a bit small. The restaurants include Andres, one of the best French restaurants in the city. The casino is easy to get aroud and never seems crowded, even when the hotel is full. The pool area incudes a wave pool and lazy river.Good value

I just came back from las vegas this valentine's weekend. I paid about 3-4 hundred on a hotel that was nice in the lobby but even the hallways to the regular deluxe rooms looked average i could have got another hotel for one hundred a night and it would have had CABLE which monte carlo didnt have, the sheets were not smelling fresh, and of course i notice everything about the rooms being neat and when we finally checked in (dont bother checking in early it didnt work for me) sheets were half assed! Sorry i will never stay at monte carlo again.

If you are in Vegas and want a great dinner stop by Andre's. It is not cheap, but in line with what you expect for a high end restaurant. The menu is great and the service out of this world.

I really liked the Monte Carlo resort, it is beautiful! They just redid the pool area a few years ago so that is new, with more then one pool and a lazy river you are sure to find a good spot because it doesn't get too crowded. They have a big casino and some shops that you could go to if you start loosing too much money. They also have a shuttle to other hotels right from the inside of the Monte Carlo!!

The Monte Carlo Resort & Casino is absolutely beautiful, inside and out. There are plenty of shops for those that aren't too interested in gambling. The casino, however, is beautiful. Be sure to look up when you first enter from the street - there is a unique, stained glass garden on the ceiling.

The rooms are fabulous and the staff is very nice. While it is a little more expensive to stay here than at other Vegas resorts, it is absolutely worth every penny.

We had a great experience at the Monte Carolo recently. We arrived early in the day (around noon) and to our surpise our room was ready. Nice size bedroom and bath. The room was very clean. We had breakfast in their cafe each day. It was great - homemade cornbeef hash and eggs benedict. The hotel is in a great location right on the strip. We will stay there again on our next visit to Vegas.

Monte Carlo was a very pleasant stay. The rooms and hall ways were quiet and the hotel & casino staff were helpful and friendly. There were enough restaurants and stores in the hotel to meet our needs.

The only thing that I did not like was the location and the rooms did not come equipped with a refrigerator.

I have stayed several times at the Monte Carlo. While it is not as upscale as Mandalay Bay and does not have as cool of a theme as some of the other hotels, it was perfectly acceptable. the room was clean and spacious. The pools had a lot of seating and there was a lazy river that was fun to float on.

the casino was under construction when I was there so that was not so great. The location is right in the middle of a few other casinos that are close to walk to. I liked staying here enough but part of me kept wishing I were staying at the venetian or somewhere upscale. .

This was my first time staying on the Las Vegas Strip. We choose the Monte Carlo because of the price, deals and hotel rating.

Pros: Professional and helpful staff. Received a $25 dining card and other discounts at restaurants and stores in the hotel. The rooms were nicely kept and especially pleased with the spa and gym.

Cons: The 4-star rating was below standard compared to other hotels that I stayed in with the same rating. The price to use the gym was very expensive and the deluxe rooms do not come with a refrigerator or microwave. At check out, the attendant was not able to give me a receipt and I had to wait until it was mailed to me.

I would not mind staying at the Monte Carlo again although I did not like its location on the strip.

Although maybe not the most elegant hotel on the strip, it is the best for the least amount of money. My friends and I go every summer for a "girls vacation", and refuse to stay anywhere else. We tried a few the first couple of years, but for the last 4 years, we have been staying at the Monte Carlo. Their service is great, their casinos are wonderful, the dealers are the nicest around, their pool is beautiful, and they have a brewery inside with great food. We keep going back, and they keep paying for it. We end up with 3 free nights each year. They've been remodeling, and it keeps looking better and better! There is no reason to spend an astronomical amount of money to stay at the Bellagio or Mandalay Bay. The Monte Carlo is a much better bargain!

My husband planned a weekend getaway to Vegas for my birthday. He chose the Monte Carlo because it was one of the better priced rooms and was located on the strip. We arrived at the hotel to be greeted by an hour long wait to check in. After finally checking in we opened the door to our room to find a smelly small room with paper thin walls. After unpacking we headed down to the casino, after losing tons of money and not getting any free cocktails we decided to go to Diablos to eat. It was not anything like the brochure in our room had us picturing it. The food was very good but extremely over priced especially on the alcohal at 6 draft beers for $50. Our first night in our room, the walls were so thin you could hear everything. The bed was realativly comfortable except I awoke itching several times through the night. I thought I was allergic to the laundry soap they had used to wash the sheets. After arriving home we discovered small insects in our suitcase. After having a exterminator examine them we discovered they were bedbugs. $700 more dollars to the exterminator to inspect and spray to help ( i say help because they don't guarentee) make sure they didn't breed and infest our house. I called the hotel to report this and was transferred from person to person until finally being told that a manager was unavailable and he would call me back. It's been 2 days and guess what. Yep no call. Inspect your bed before you sleep or you may awake to insects crawling and biting. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone pay the extra money to stay in a clean hotel.

I did not stay at this hotel, I actually stayed next door at the New York New York. But I did play at the casino in Monte Carlo, more specifically the poker room. I found the environment of the poker room to be very friendly and not pretentious in the slightest, both the players and the casino staff. The poker room ""host"" (the guy running the room) was very nice in explaining the different games they had going on. They probably have other games, but I played in a $50 no limit texas holdem tournament, which they run with only 8 to 10 people, so the game doesn't last forever. They also have a $1/$2 no limit texas holdem game for buyin of $100 min and $200 max, where you can join and leave the game at any time. The waitress did a good job of keeping our drinks coming, although there was one lull where she noticeably disappeared for a while. All in all, this was a friendly, non-intimidating, unpretentious environment. \r\n\r\nThis is in contrast to the poker room at either Bellagio or Caesar's, I wish I could remember which one it was. But at that poker room, the poker host was very pretentious. We had asked him what kind of games they had running, buy in amounts, blind levels, etc., and his response back to us was filled with attitude and pretentiousness. And very cryptic. He definitely had an attitude. And seeing as how we don't play poker in Vegas EVERY SINGLE DAY we weren't quite sure of what was going on, hence, our questions. We do play in quite a few home cash games so it's not like we don't know how to play the game. We just didn't know what the different games were in that particular casino. Snobs. But anyways, I guess what I was getting at was that the poker room at Monte Carlo was very unpretentious and very welcoming, in contrast.

Desperately needing some updating. The service was not very good for the most part and there wasn't a great deal to do there. Everything closed surprisingly early. One bartender explained to me it was just too slow in the middle of the week. Wonder why...

For a break from the rest of the Strip casinos, try the Monte Carlo. It is a bit older, a bit less luxurious, but every bit as fun. The brewpub/bar in the back is a great place to have fun, the casino has lower limits, and overall, this is what you should get out of Vegas!

The casino itself is ""nice"". Not amazing, not trashy, just nice. The rooms are clean, the overall hotel is clean and pleasant. You're not going to get the ritzy Vegas feeling here, but you also won't spend a bundle foryour room. My husband and I stayed here, and we found the staff to be very friendly and accomodating. We ate at both the Brewpub (nice, large, family oriented and served great peel and eat shrimp) and at the Chinese restaurant located off of the casino floor. That was also a good meal at a decent price. This hotel seems more family freindly and more casual than some of the other strip motels. Again, it is in a great location, center strip!

My family and I have been coming to the Monte Carlo for several years now. The hotel is well set up so that it doesn't take you 3 days to find the exit door in the casino from your room. It always smells so good when you walk in too. Great foodcourt right off the elevators, allows you to take back to your room if 'room service' is too costly for you. The pool is great for kids with very good pool supervision by the lifeguard and easy visibility from almost any spot. The rooms are not overly fancy, but solid amenities, very clean. If you choose to go the buffet route--Monte Carlo has some of the best 'buffet food' on the strip--not greasy, good selection, well set up dining rooms. I love when they have online specials--rooms can be found at really competitive prices.

Stay here if you want to save money and you don't care about the hotel. The rooms are very simple and outdated. There is a foodcourt in the casino with mcdonald's...that's a clue. However, it is cheap, so if you want to spend very little, this could be the place for you.

We were treated very rudely by staff and management at this hotel and our attempt to resolve the situation was completely ignored. After being called a liar in the Brew Pub by the manager we left rather than have the experience ruin our day. We stopped by the guest services area after leaving to provide them with our name and room number so that the bill would be paid even though we had not eaten anything at that point. A food and beverage manager was called to ""resolve the situation to our satisfaction"". The food and beverage manager simply said that the restaurant manager was incorrect and that I was correct in what had occured at the restaurant, but never said that the manager had treated us poorly by calling me a liar and never apologized for the manager's actions. In my opinion this is simply not an appropriate way to treat guests. I will never return to this hotel in the future. After the food and beverage manager walked away with no apology another employee at the guest services area noticed what had happened and apologized for how we had been treated. Even he could see that we had been treated very poorly in this situation. There are so many good hotels to stay in Vegas. This is not one of them. And I say that after having stayed at the Monte Carlo several times over many years. But never again.

I got one room in Monte Carlo from Priceline. The price is okay, but the room is quite small. Even though I told them I want a non-smoking room, the room was still full of smell of smoke. The hotel doesn't look as good as Bellagio or Caesar Palace. You don't have many choices to play in casino, either. However, if you don't have many budgets for staying and gambling, this is still a acceptable hotel.

Had my renewal of vows ceremony in one of their banquet rooms, which turned out really nice. Service was good, price was fair and the ambiance was intimate and lovely. Next day we used the pool. Fantastic and really kid friendly! The food at the buffet is xlnt and the service and atmosphere is nice. We had two adjoining rooms on the third floor, every time someone flushed, showered or farted, we heard it! Our room was next door to a service station and at 3:00am they started doing dishes!! The machine was so loud that it shook the room! The front desk wanted US to move! At 3:00am!! They finally turned it off after we begged, only to turn it back on at 8:00am! They offered us a free breakfast, hey better than nothing...I won $2200 with a $10.00 bill on one of their slot machines, evens out.

They offered us a free breakfast, hey better than nothing...I won $2200 with a $10.00 bill on one of their slot machines, evens out.

Have been in this casino a few times and just can't figure out what the big deal is. It is a casino. The resteraunts are nothing special. The decor is nothing special. The help is nothing special. There is nothing to distinguish this property from any other casino.

We stayed in the Monte Carlo when it was brand new, since then it seems to have just stagnated. Nothink new just a place to seperate you from your money

We had absolutely no complaints about this hotel when we stayed there once, though we were a little nervous after making reservation's for some of our family who came out to visit. It is in a central location and fairly easy to walk to just about anywhere. We liked the fact that it isn't a big tourist attraction because the hotel and casino were both quieter and less crowded than any other we visited. We were always glad to get back to the Monte Carlo after visiting other places. The Spa was wonderful and so were the pools. The room was very nice, though not something that would take your breath away. The view from the room was extrordinary. Service was all you could expect and employees were friendly and cooperative. When we have family and friend's out here, we will surely recommend they stay at monte carlo.

So what I expect and the average person that pays more may differ. The rooms were of nice size but the walls are thin hotel was clean, the Spa was FANTASTIC!!, the amenities are Gilchrist and Soames (top of the line) didn't see the pool we went on 3/7/05 for one night. Excellent location on the strip not far to walk for most of the hotels on the strip casino was clean not much activity (winning) on the slots, the cafe was okay service everywhere in the hotel was friendly a plus for them for sure. I was told that the cocktail service was lacking especially around the slots.

At times, the Monte Carlo is affordable, but usually, you pay for more than what you get. The big downfall is the quality of the rooms. The walls are SO thin, I could hear TV's in five different rooms! The place is very nice but for the $$ you can find a better room.

This was not an enjoyable experience. The rooms had walls that were so paper thin I could not sleep the entire time I was there. I heard every toilet flush and shower turn on. The bed was very uncomfortable. The room was very dark and drab. The hotel is also too far off to one end of the strip so it takes a while to go elsewhere.\n\nThe diner is good & well priced. The servers are friendly.\n\nThe casino is more smokey than most, and I found the dealers less friendly than the Venetian or Mandalay Bay.

My husband and I stayed here last July 2002 and we had a great time. We arrived early and had a room waiting for us with a king size bed which was nice. We asked for a refrigerator and got it almost immediately, same for our luggage. They helped us make plans for the Grand Canyon and were just nice. The pool area is great whether you are a kid or just a kid at heart. The first time we came to Las Vegas we stayed at Bellagio which is magnificent, but decided to try someplace different this time. We made a good choice as Monte Carlo is linked to Bellagio by the tram, but it is more closely located to the hotels with more going on. We would definitely stay here again. The only thing we didn't like at Monte Carlo is their buffet.

I was quite impressed. This was my first stay in the Monte Carlo. Virtually every room appears like it would have a great view of the strip, I know mine did. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in. Two thumbs up!

Just got back from Thanksgiving weekend in Vegas, and have to say that I had a great stay at Monte Carlo. Went with three friends...two in suite, two in standard room. Both are nicely sized...not overly large, but both had plenty of room. Spa was great. Brew Pub was even better. Great location with many hotels, including NYNY and Bellagio within walking distance. Overall...when I go to Vegas I know I'm not going to spend a ton of time in the hotel that I'm staying in. Why spend a few hundred dollars more to stay at Bellagio when I only spend around 7 hours a day in my hotel room(most sleeping)? Monte Carlo is a great value, with great amenities, and is in a great location.

We just got back from our third stay at the Monte Carlo. Our first time was wonderful. Big Jacuzzi Spa Suite... everything was wonderful. The second time was on our honeymoon... same suite. Except the one they gave us when we first arrived was not unoccupied yet and when we finally did get one of our own we found that the surround sound in the room did not work. This last time we got just a Deluxe Room (224 a night!!). There was a cigarette hole burn in the curtain... what looked liked crayon or lipstick all over the bathroom wallpaper and noisy hotel staff. I was starting to think we had landed at Motel 6. We had a better room, and better kept at our stay at the New York New York Deluxe Room in September. The Monte Carlo has worn it's welcome out for me.

Of course it can't be compared to Bellagio or Venetian, but not even comparable to Luxor. Outside looks beautiful, but inside, ""what happened?"". Service/staff was lousy/rude. Terrible food! I was at their buffet for something quick, found an ant in my food. I called the assistant manager (manager was out), she was making excuses like she has bad eyes so need to bring the plate back to the chef. It was so obvious it was an ant (I had others examine this) She came out and said ""oh our chef said it's just gelatin."" She must think I'm stupid. ""I've never seen gelatin with legs, and antennas."" I called Food/Bev Manager to complain about her rude attitude. He wasn't helpful at all, didn't even try to apologize, instead he was backing her up. I wasn't looking for free stuff, just their apologies. Is that too much to ask?

One of my cousin's friend is a high roller in Vegas so everytime he's there they're giving him the best room they have. And I was so amaze how beautiful and big the room was. It has its own exercise room and a kitchen, a tv room, a dining, and 2 huge room and all that stuff, its like living in a very expensive condo, too bad we only had to stay for 2 nights. I felt bad for leaving that place i wish i can live there!

This property's design was inspired by the Old-World elegance of the French Riviera. Fountains, palm trees and statuary at its arched entryway set the stage for a relaxing Vegas getaway. With its faux turn-of-the-20th-century architecture,…
