BEWARE! they killed my baby of 13 years. some1 should be held accountable
If you love your pet, DO NOT go here. In short, I was pushed through without any real concern as to what happened to my dog. Every time I called, I waited for a long time just to be told some b.s. Hundreds of dollars later, they sent him home with me, only to have him collapse later that night. When returning, a Dr. Tylor took over and wanted to run the same battery of tests and blood work on him AGAIN. Of course, I would be charged again! She then tells me that she wants to do a blood transfusion! And I would not be able to stay with him, even know he most likely would not make it through the night. I laughed, got my dog and drove him to a competent clinic. Which, by no surprise, he did not need a transfusion, in fact he had a horrible case of pneumonia. Which Desert Inn never saw after doing all those x-rays. It is too bad that they did not take me and my dog serious. He ended up with a fatal case of pneumonia. It should of been caught with all of the so called tests I was charged for. I only hope she loses her license like I lost my best friend of 13 years.

They killed my cat!!!!
After taking two of my cats to the "Feline Hyperthyroid Treatment Center" and paying $1,150.00 each for treatment, I brought them home and within 2-days they both began to sneeze and were subsequently diagnosed with a upper respiratory infection. Today, "Scooter", my beloved 18-year old cat died of this infection. The ONLY place he could have acquired this deadly infection was at the Desert Inn Animal Hospital. Prior to being admitted for treatment Scooter had spent his entire 18 years safely indoors. Scooter's life long companion "Muffy" is now also sick with this infection, she was also a victim of Dr. Lynch. So far I have amassed over $6,000.00 worth of vet bills between the charges from Desert Inn Animal Hospital, pre-treatment exams/referrals and post treatment hospital care for Scooter. Now I have to come up with the money to bury Scooter. Muffy is extremely sick, it looks like she also will die from the deadly infection she acquired during her stay at Desert Inn Animal Hospital.

Almost killed my dog
Do not take your dog to Dr. Dan, he is horrible and almost killed my dog. Beware of him, he acts like he knows what he is doing, but my dog was very sick and I took him to another clinic where the doctors were more experienced and they saved my dog. The other doctor said that Dr. Dan had nearly drowned my dog with fluids!! He ended up with pneumonia, but was saved after a huge bill, which I had to pay!!

The BEST!!!
When I took my dog in she was very ill and they were absolutletly wonderful. Actually I had taken my dog in3 times in one day and though we had to see different Vets each time they all seemed to care very much about my baby. Finally admitting her into ICU. I was relieved. I called several times to check on my baby and each time they were kind and happy to hear from me. Finally diagnosed with Addisons disease she was given her meds and recovered. Though she still needs a very expensive shot each month they have actually sold me the meds and needles and showed me how to give them to her myself. This saves me a lot of money overall. They are the perfect example of a vet who cares and isn't just out for the money. I trust them with my dogs life. You should too!!! They are the best in my opinion.

Not That Great
The doctors at Desert Inn are great, but some of the receptionists and assistants are quite rude. You can have an appointment and still wait an hour. It seems they are just out to make a buck and don't care about the service you receive. I now go to Sahara Animal Hospital where they know the meaning of good customer service!

best vets in town
Desert Inn Animal Hospital is a great place to take you animals for medical care. The entire staff is devoted to the care of your animal and making sure you are comfortable with being there. I drive 15 miles past many other vets to take my dog there. I have worked with all of the dr. and they are all great people to work with. Everyone of them spends the time with you to make sure your pet is cared for in a way you want to be treated yourself.

not given the whole story
I got a puppy from Puppy Planet. It was very sick when got him, we realized when we gotten him home. Long story, read my review for them. The pet shop had told us to take him to was this vet for a checkup. They told me he had bordetella. I asked if he'd been sick when they saw him the week before. I was told no. The vet agreed with me that he was a puppy mill dog. It seemed the whole appointment was devoted to trying to sell me products. Then when I told the pet shops owner what the vet had said about the dogs origins, she lied to him when he spoke with her, making me look like the liar.
I later learned that the pup had been treated there for bordetella there from a pet shop employee.
They then refused to give his records to my vet when he wasn't responding well to treatment. They protected the pet shop and puppy mill operation he came from with their refusal and put my little pup's life in jeopardy! I think this was shameful!
THANK GOD for The Mauer Clinic!! They saved his life!!
PROS: large clean clinic
CONS: are they a vet or a reatail shop?

Best Vet Care
Desert Inn Animal Hospital, Dr. Arn in particular, saved my dog's life after I'd messed around with half a dozen incompetent vets. He operated to remove bladder stones and discovered she had a bowel disease. Since then, he is the only vet I trust with my dogs' care. It's not real convenient to my house and there is sometimes a wait but it's well worth it. I will also say that they don't price gouge. In fact, Dr. Arn often waives his office fee. I highly recommend them.
PROS: Outstanding care, clean, professional, caring staff, emergency care
CONS:

Mixed Feelings
My parents have taken their pets here for years and have been great to them. Especially in emergencies. However, I've taken my pet there and have had extremely long waits. A few ladys in the staff are rude. Overall, I wouldn't recommend them because there are much better animal hospitals out there.

Poodles
My poodles are comfortable going here. The staff is friendly and courteous. The only thing I don't like about this vet is particularly the wait. I have to take my pets in about 20 mins early to make sure that I get in at least 10 mins after my schedules appointment. Also checking out the wait is very long too. I enjoy the doctors there, they are very nice and seem to care for my pets like their own. I would recommend them to anyone.
