This is a wonderful church the pastor you can tell is very down to earth, someone who care for people. They have a lot of help for people that are looking for counseling and they have a mentor program as well to help people who are struggling. The vibe of the church is very positive although its very large. I have yet to connect with a group here but am going to try shortly. I am going to try and go here more often, I feel like I could fit in here.

What the heck is going on with "our" church? I have heard and read about the guest speaker from Uganda and I am very troubled by what he really stands for! Does "our" church support gay and lesbian couples or not? I am neither however my husband and I are teaching our children to accept all people for exactly who they are. My son has done some research and has found that this person is not really who he says he is. I would really love to talk to Pastor Kevin and understand more about his views on this issue. I will be deeply saddened if I have to leave Canyon Ridge and find a new church with more liberal and in my view more humane views on this issue.I am doing research on other Churches and thier views. I have loved Canyon Ridge for so long and it will be hard to move on. However, I will because I want the best for my children and I want for them to accept everybody for the beautiful person God made us. How is it alright that we love each other as God wants us to however, gay and lesbian couples don't count? I have seen for myself that Canyon Ridge accepts same sex couples into our church but, we really shun them on the inside? I feel I live a life with Christ in it everyday and I know the Bible tells us we are not to judge, leave that to the Lord! For me and my family we will continue to worship the lord and follow that rule no matter what church we decide we will make "home" for us. Please let's remember God loves all of us!!!! We were saved by the grace of Jesus. for me, that is one powerfull statement. I learned that in "starting point" everybody should remember that. I love Canyon Ridge and I hope I can continue to worship there. One side note.....I tithe as much as I can ( about 8 % ) without breaking the budget as I am a stay at home Mom and my husband works hard to support our family by paying the bills.God Bless all who read this and I would love to speak to Pastor Kevin about all of what I wrote. Lori Gore 702 658 1277 Thank you for your concern.

I am not usually a church person but felt my kids should be exposed to it. So I chose this one. You can come as you are. They have 3 different worship times and the people are so nice. No one pressures you to worship anything. They have a band that plays some pretty cool music and they have a drama team that puts on skits and it helps you understand the sermon. My daughter loves the classes she goes to. They do all kinds of activities there. Need a church choos this one.

this is the most comfortable group of people to be around. the pastor is great. he always has a great topic to talk about. he also shows you different points of views. the daycare is a little crowded but i think the kids are still very well taken care of. all three of my kids love it. the seating is great and you can never get a bad seat. all the people seem to be a family. this is the only church for us.

I adore this church but as I press on in my relationship with Christ I know it is not about religion it is about relationship with God Almighty. As human we fall short or miss the mark of being perfect but it doesn't mean were not

It seems like most comments I've read on Canyon Ridge Christian Church seem to center around how wonderful"" it is to attend Church ""dressed as you are."" I think, to a certain extent, churches need to establish a dress code. I'm a Catholic and get extremely offended when people come up to the alter to receive Holy Communion wearing low cut blouses, tummies showing, shorts, flip flops, and t shirts with raunchy slogans on them. My Church has never had a dress code . . . and, most likely, never will. However, I do wish people would exercise more common sense, and self respect when devoting one morning per week to the edification of God. There's a time for worship and a time for play.

We were heavily involved in this church - so happy there. Until Leadership and Staff starting violating our privacy. Brought to the attention of Elders and Staff - and they just pushed all circumstances aside as an ""attack from the enemy"" - never dealt with except we were brushed off by 3 pastors and 2 elders. They were MORE concerned for the Leadership who caused us grief than to help us resolve the matter.

Ask anyone who has LEFT that church and they will tell you it is fine for the first year or two - but then they see the Leadership and Staff for who they are.

Refusing to take responsibility and accountability for their actions.

Don't go there if you want to keep your spirituality intact. The only good pastor is the Youth Pastor, Chris Duncan. They have lost key leadership and staff who have been open about the lack of accountability in that church.

Find a different place to worship in the Valley - this isn't it. It's a factory of volunteers - and staff who cares less except for ""numbers"" and don't care about what lives they hurt.

We love our friends who still go there - but I see them also fading away as they are being burned.

BE accountable Staff and Leadership of CRCC, that isn't so hard to do, now is it?

We were smart enough to see we needed to leave quickly and move on. We love God, always!

Pros: Good at first but...

Cons: you get involved and you are treated like a possession

I started going to Canyon Ridge about 9 years ago and haven't found a better church to go to yet. They have a very strong children's ministry, school age ministry, family ministry, homeschooling ministry, as well as counseling for many different classes from the recovery groups to self help to walking with those who have or are care givers of those who have life long illnesses.
It seems really huge from the outside, but once you ""get connected"" to a small group, you can see and feel the love they have for you so much deeper.
They say ""come as you are"". That's truth; the way you dress, the way you think, the way you feel; come, just as you are, however you are...and they mean it! We usually wear shorts and a t-shirt to church!
Services are at 4 & 6 on Saturday and 9 & 11 on Sunday. Music is fabulous! The skits put the teaching into every day life are right on point.

Pros: very friendly and pro active

Cons: big, but breaks down to smaller cell groups
