Abramow Stanley M Md

I just received a bill for $1,000 from this doctors office on a surgery that I received over 13 months ago with a different doctor/OBGYN! I've never met nor seen this doctor in my entire life! He's not my OBGYN and I've never been to his office! Not to mention, this is the first billing statement I have ever received from this doctor, but they claim the statement is over 120 days old and are threatening to turn me over to collections. Apparently, from other reviews I've read, this doctor is not only a horrible doctor but his office staff is the worst in Las Vegas!

Tries to convince you to induce labor for his convenience and not YOURS! Makes you wait a half an hour when you are already ready to deliver. If you have been in labor before, NOT EASY! The nurse felt bad for me. I wanted to film my baby's birth, even the nurse at the hospital told me "I know DR. Abramow. He would never agree to it." She felt bad for me you can see it in her face. I wanted a natural child birth so I did no epidural. When he FINALLY arrived at the hospital which was very early in the morning he was upset and told me " All this for no epidural huh?!?" and walked out of the room taking his sweet time to get back. Worst experience ever. After the delivery I also had serious complications and had to go back a month later. He finally decided to be nice to me. He was probably afraid I was going to press charges b/c IT WAS HIS FAULT I was back in. Please SAVE YOUR SELF THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF WHAT'S SUPPOSED TO BE SPECIAL!!! You deserve better treatment.

My wife has been a patient of Dr. Abramow's since our first child was born in 1995. He has now delivered all three of our children, including our 10 pounder. Cesarean was never necessary, and tears and stitches were never an issue.
He has truly been remarkable. He is so amazing an OB/GYN, I wish I was a woman so I could see him.
My wife loves the fact that he is so gentle. She also likes that he doesn't take any B.S., doesn't mess around, and tells it like it is. He never holds back: He IS very set in his ways, and tells you so.

He will also recommend other doctors to go to for whatever reason, such as referrals. He will tell you without reservation what he thinks of this doctor or that doctor, if asked. I appreciate the honesty.
He's also very funny, able to tell jokes, which makes for good bedside manner.

His staff at his Tenaya office has gone through some changes, and even my wife was getting disappointed. When his wife, Audrey, was working the front counter, things couldn't have been better. She was always so friendly, nice, and welcoming.

As of August, 2008, Dr. Abramow has moved to a West Charleston location, near University Medical Center (UMC-where he has been a teacher for many years). His new staff is young, but very friendly and helpful.

If you want to go to a doctor who knows what they're doing and doesn't fool around, is honest and forthright, then Dr. Abramow is the doctor for you.

I moved to Las Vegas when I was about 5+ mos along. It was at a time where not many OB's were taking new patients...much less that far along. He took me in, and picked up where my other one left off. In fact, he also discovered that I was RH- and would need a mandatory vaccine before I delivered...my other doc didn't point this out. That was for the first child. The second pregnancy was just as easy with him. He has halways been very nice during my visits. His way of doing things is very "to-the-point and cut-to-the-chase". If you need your hand held through every step of it, he's not for you. I went in to my second delivery thinking it would be as easy as the first. It wasn't, and I needed an emergency c-section. He was on top of everything, and my surgery was very successful. I wouldn't have wanted any other doc and nurse team there. Sorry to those that have had a negative experience.

Dr Abramow was my first gyno and for some stupid reason i stayed w/ him for 10 years and through 2 childred. He never takes the time with you to make you feel comfortable enough to even ask questions. He holds his own personal views above actual medical practices. When me and my husband had a condom mishap I called his office to inquire about the day after pill and was told Dr Abramow does not believe in such practices. I was shocked and humilated to have to visit planned parenthood as if i was some 16 year old trying to save myself from an unplanned pregnancy. I was infact 27 year old and married at the time. THe last straw with this dr was during my most recent sons birth. The nurse had to stop my pushing for 20 min as we waiting for the Dr to finally arrive. When he finally got there he delievered the baby so quickly that i tore and when i asked him how many stitches it took he didnt even know! THen he flings the curtain open and walks through the door so my mother, mother in-law and father in-law saw me legs spread wide open. IT was the most horrifying and embarrasing moment of my life. Dr abramow didn't even care about what he had done. He treats women like they are animals and has no respect or consideration for our privacy or the pain we are going through during child birth. I just left him a couple months ago as I am now pregnant with my 3rd child and couldn't bear the thought of going through another delivery with this horrible doctor. Do yourself a favor and go to anyone else.

They suck and front desk girl flirted with my husband!! she was all over him WHAT WAS THAT !! Then Dr Abramow had the wrong chart didint even notice I was due in 2 DAYS! and the chart in front of him said the girl was 7 mos he didint check me!!! never go see this doctor he is HORRIBLE!!!!

I had a pap there. He was very rough and rude. He didn't know anything about the new pill called Lybrel. I got the pamphlet from his waiting room! He said that he gives it to everyone. Then I would think he would be able to answer my questions about it. The nurse opened the speculum and placed it on the counter next to the sink. My old doctor always put it on a sterile pad. I should have said something. He was not gentle at all !!!! He forced the speculum in with no lubrication at all. When I yelled "that Hurts" he did not even react. After the pap I was left with nothing to clean up with. I wiped with the paper gown. I was bleeding!!! There were pieces of what I think is my Cervix!! I bled from that appt. on 2-29-08 till 3-3-08. I have never been so disrespected in my whole life!!I have kept my blood stained panties for evidence in my case. If you have had a problem with him go to this website I did.http://medboard.nv.gov/Forms/complaint.htmWe have to stand up for our selves!!!!The more people that file complains against this guy the better a chance we all have to stop him from hurting someone else!!!

Yes, she is his nurse, therefore she needs to say that. Dr. Abramow is a very nice doctor, but his office staff really needs improvement. Good luck if you go there

Great friendly atmosphere, welcoming staff, and incredible doctor and surgeon skills. Busy moms can count on positive children interaction from all staff members as they receive "WORLD CLASS' Ob/gyn care!

Well, I went ahead and had surgery with this man. After I had to call him back about 3x a day to hear from him. When I had decided to go to another doctor. He finally spoke to me. He is very rude and had a horrible bedside manner. But it gets better. I had surgery on Friday. Saw Dr Abramow Saturday morning. Come Tuesday, my insurance company rep who came by to visit me had to find him to release me. He came to see me after they called him. He stated he didn't know I was still in the hospital. He asked another doctor that I didn't know to check on me. The othe doctor never came by. Dr Abramow did not even follow up to see if I was released or not. He was rude and curt when I saw him to take out my suctures. He was so rough and by that time I had had enough of him and his sorry nurses and didn't even return to him for my final visit. He is a terrible, terrible doctor in my experience. He also has the worse nurses. It's amazing this man is still in business.

Ive been going to this Dr. office for 6 visits now and He still cant pronounce my first name correct, but the main reason why I'm changing doctors is because when i was 15 weeks along I took a normal blood test that every pregnant women is sent to take and my results came back abnormal.Well the nurse that I have been speaking too called me and told me this and said "that she'll call me back for an appointment with another physican" she never called me back and then come to find out she went on vacation. Now 3 weeks have gone by and I have had this check up and when I went for my check up with Dr. Abramow he didnt even know that my baby was at High risk.. I had to tell him. Now I think that the person that is bringing your baby into this world should know these important details, or at least have the paperwork.!!

This is the most worthless OB I have ever met. I have met a few due to moving a lot. I gave him three appnts to develope a relationship and see how he would be, granted we all have bad days. This man in rude, does not have (or give) time to his patients, and acts like a 3 year old when his feelings get hurt. On my last visit I told the nurse I would be changing doctors, after waiting almost an hour (which is normal there) the nurse came back and told me he didn't want to see me if I was going to switch doctors. He refused my care, during a high risk pregnancy because his feeling were hurt.

Dr. Abramow has been my Dr. since 1999 when I was pregnant with my second child. My first child was born in California and I had problems with bleeding. I was very scared that the same would happen again. Dr. Abramow assured me that everything would be OK and he was right. He has since helped me to deliver three beautiful,healthy sons(one which was almost 10lbs.). He has also delivered my cousin's son. I couldn't imagine having any other Ob/Gyn.

This doctor thus far has a very bad bedside manner. He was very very rude to me about going to the ER even though his nurse told me to. She stood right there and didn't even admit to it. This office never returns phone calls and the often act as if they are doing you a favor. So far I am not impressed at all. I am going to go a little further and see what happens. If I had to grade them, right now they would have a "D -."

I could not believe the way my appointment went with this doctor and staff. The front office staff messed up my appointment time, and the doctor was VERY rude and condescending! I will never go back to this office.
