Reviews for Aloha Japanese Steakhouse

Ratings_icons I will never go again.

It's sad, because I grew up with this being one of my first sushi restaurants and we frequently went back. Afterwards, we started going to Sushi Pier (the original location), and years passed before I returned to Aloha.

I'd heard bad reviews since the ownership change, but I didn't believe it until I experienced it for myself. When I went there, the restaurant was overheated and actually quite dirty. The sushi chef that served us was slow, rude, and didn't care we were there. The rice was overcooked and didn't taste right, and the fish was actually a bit warm. In all honesty, I'm surprised we didn't get sick.

I am now a fan of Spanish Springs Sushi (relatively new) on Pyramid, or Sushi Moto (Damonte Ranch).

I used to eat here every weekend until there was a change in ownership. This is one of the worst sushi joints in town. The new Spanish Springs Sushi gets a 10 out of 10. Try it.

This used to be among the best sushi restaurants in town but took a downturn after owenership changed some time ago. Since then, the quality of the food and preparation has gone way down, along with their service. Atlantis or Sushi Pier are much better alternatives.
